Vintage Stoneware Crock Jug - 2 Tone Brown/Tan & Off White
Vintage stoneware crock jug. The jug is a 2 tone brown/tan and off white. The jug is approximately 11" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter(measured on bottom) tape measure shown in photos as well. The jug is not perfect and does have some wear but just adds to the character of the piece. I tried to capture all main wear in the attached photos. There are some chips along bottom edge. An area of crazing on one side, a couple stoneware imperfections on one side in the brown area(doesn't look to be chips- looks to be be from when made) I have found no cracks. The neck looks to have been hand formed and the handle to be applied. Nice item. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Antique 19th-century decorated Stoneware Jug! Charles W. Braun stoneware Pottery Jug(1857-1896) Charles worked for the Old Heiser Pottery company during these years. This wonderful jug is in super condition with nocracks. I would say it is Museum Quality. There appears on the top rim to be a very small chip(see the photo with the pencil) but is is hard for me to tell if it is a chip or original to the jug. The Buckeye Pottery Company of Macomb. Illinois was established in 1882 by Joseph Pech and his sons. They started with a total capital of ~$20,000 and hired twenty employees. The building was located on Carroll Street near the railroad tracks in Macomb. Joseph Pech, a native of Bohemia was born in 1827, and immigrated to America in 1852, living in Wisconsin and Ohio, eventually settling in Macomb, IL, where he founded Joseph Pech& Sons in 1882. This is a clean nice stoneware example for anyone's proud display collection. Unmarked to capacity, I would say it is best equivalent to just about 1 1/2 gallon size. Condition Report: One very tiny stone ping above coil spray. Triangular shaped stone ping on right side upper shoulder from which emanates a line of vertical glaze drip. Overall pleasing light grey coloration with a small Texas-state shaped beige blotch to left side midway. This is smooth. Just a kiln color aberration in the manufacture. No kiss marks. Clean sound bottom with tiny felt pad dots to prevent scratching. No fry to cobalt, No hairlines. No repairs. Moonshine jug in good condition. 6-1/2" diameter at base, 2 tiny chips on inside edge of lip, crackling in light tan glaze on lower half, and some drip mark hazing of surface of dark brown upper half, otherwise any other scrapes, dings, bumps dimples or other surface irregularities on this jug are from the forming process! No makers marks found anywhere on this, but close inspection does seem to show indications of hand-forming around the neck and bottom of handle/loop. 1922 Preston Guild Mayor & Mayoress Astley-Bell Souvenir Pitcher, England UK
This is a 5& 1/2" tall pitcher featuring portraits of the"Guild Mayor& Mayoress Mr. and Mrs. Astley-Bell" in 1922. On the other side is a sheep with a cross and flag that may be the seal of Preston. The city featured on the pitcher. It has a gold rim around the top and a gold stripe down the handle. On the base it says"W. Eilmer Ltd. Preston. The printing is a little smeared so I am not certain of the spelling of the name. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains or damage other than a few light scratches to the transfer print.

This is a vintage(possibly antique) pitcher decorated profusely with transferware in cheery blues and reds with an Asian theme. There is transferware on both sides. Around the rim, a little"cameo" on the very front and on the inside of the spout. There is gold leaf decorating the handle. Measures 11" to the top of the handle. Has a small chip on the bottom rim that can only be seen when upside down. The interior is quite clean. I saw a tiny bit of crazing here and there. The jug is hallmarked with an Urn with"M" and"F" inside the urn. Then"England" I'm unable to identify the maker or the age of the jug. Will be competently packed for safe arrival. For your consideration is a three gallon shoulder jug made by Red Wing Union Stoneware Company of Red Wing. Minnesota. This jug has a two inch wing. The oval is 1 11/16" wide; the writing in this oval says: RED WING UNION STONEWARE CO. RED WING MINN; stoneware with this oval in combination with a two inch wing was only produced from 1933 to 1936. This jug has a total height of almost 15" from the surface it is sitting on, to the shoulder this jug, is almost 9 7/8" The bottom is approximately 9 7/8" in diameter. This jug has glaze skips and other manufacturing imperfections. A previous owner glued a cork into this jug; this cork has been removed, but remnants of it still remain. On the bottom are two chips; when the jug is sat upright, the larger is totally invisible. Very close to the bottom is a very tight hairline; this ... morehairline starts right of the front center and runs to the right for approximately 25% of the circumference of this jug. Vintage Nautical Puzzle Jug
Hi. I'm listing a vintage puzzle jug. I've only found one like this and I used the copy from google images. You will see the exact duplicate in the photos. I haven't any clue as to how old this might be, I bought it at a vintage shop about 12 years ago. The google image actually has the picture and the text, however it hasn't any information about where and when it was made either.The copy of the jug is exactly the right depiction. I take most of my pics. at night and have to use my flash and it just isn't the same as natural lighting. It's in relatively nice condition, there are a few small marks, as I've noted in the pics. The middle portion with the text has a sand like texture to it. The vessel, as google addresses it: is approx. 8 1/2" H& it is approx. 17" around the largest portion.
