$8.40 Shipping Location: Owensboro, United States Exceptional quality. Small alkaline or salt glazed, primitive antique crock. 6 1/4 inches high, about 3 inch top diameter, about 4 1/4 inch bottom diameter. ... moreLooks to be just under 5 inches around(diameter) in the middle. Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots around the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. Please ask questions before bidding. Shipping to Lower 48 States only. No international sales. Payment due within 3 days of auction end. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less, you must contact me before bidding. In"as found" condition- this item is vintage, and not new. Photos are as important as my written description. Please review all the photos carefully, including at close-up magnification.

PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE~1-GAL. SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE MOONSHINE JUG w/Applied Handle
This heavy. 1-gallon antique salt-glazed stoneware crock jug is a beauty! I'm not sure what was in it originally, but I'd guess hard liquor or moonshine. It has a lovely light cream to putty-colored salt glaze finish, with a hand-applied handle, and possible two-piece body construction. The surface has a wonderful patina, and the inside has the same creamy glaze. There are some scrapes on the mouth and top of the handle that are old enough to beautifully blend into the color of the salt glaze, a few stray dark marks, a few extra bits of clay stuck here and there, and no other damage that I can find. A very unique piece from a bygone era! Unsure of maker. From the late 1800s-early 1900s. I see no damage other than what I've already described. Could use a good cleaning. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE CIRCA 18TH/19TH CENTURY SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE ONE-HANDLED JUG
This antique primitive salt-glazed stoneware one-handled jug is circa 18th/19th century. The form is pleasing. With nice line detailing around the neck, and it has a molded handle. The color is a wonderful tan with a mottled glaze. The jug measures ~6 1/4" tall x 4" wide across the widest part. It has a 2 1/4" base and a 1 3/8" mouth. Overall. The jug is in good condition. There is a couple of small chips around the perimeter of the base, but nothing major. The blemish shown in the first picture was possibly formed during the firing process, from being too close to another jug. I do believe this jug is all original, but since I am not an expert in this field, I ask that you please zoom in on all of the pictures for detailed close-ups. Besides great color and form. This jug has a nice surface, showing good honest wear from ... moremany years of use. Thank you for looking, and any shipping cost overage will be promptly refunded. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE 17TH CENTURY SALT-GLAZED STONEWARE JUG, NICE EARLY FORM
This antique primitive salt-glazed one-handled stoneware jug is a nice medium size. It is circa 17th century. The jug has an early form. With some line detailing around the base. The surface is a mottled brown glaze. The jug measures 7 1/2" tall. And is 5" wide at the widest point. There is a 2 1/4" base, and a 2" mouth opening. Based on the color variation of the glaze, I am assuming the jug has been restored, but nicely done. I am not an expert in this field, and ask that you please zoom in on all of the pictures for detailed close-ups. Overall, it is a good example of an early jug, and is being sold"as is" with no reserve. Thank you for looking. And any shipping cost overage will be promptly refunded.

PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE SALT GLAZED STONEWARE ONE-HANDLED JUG, GREAT COLOR AND FORM
This primitive antique salt-glazed stoneware one-handled jug is circa 18th century. The form is a beautiful pear shape. Typical for this period. The color is a wonderful yellowish mottled color. The true color of the jug is definitely more mellow, and not as bright yellow as the pictures show. There is nice raised ring decoration around the neck. The jug measures ~8" tall x 5" wide at the widest point. And it has a 3" diameter base. Considering its age, the jug is in good condition overall. There are no major chips. There are some surface cracks, but the jug is very, very stable. Since I am not an expert in this field, I cannot say for sure whether or not this jug has been restored, so I ask that you please zoom in on all of the pictures for detailed closeups to help you decide. This jug shows good honest wear from many years ... moreof use. And its simple form and great color just add to its character. Thank you for looking, and any shipping cost overage will be promptly refunded.

Antique Salt Glazed Stoneware Pottery Jug Crock 1 Gallon 1800s Primitive Whiskey
Antique Jug This auction is for a really nice and very rare antique stoneware jug or crock that has a really nice salt glaze finish. The jug is rather narrow and it’s a very early model. But there are no markings minus what looks like a letter G stamped in the back. The jug measures about 11" tall and it has a very unusual pinched handle design that I’ve never seen. Really nice piece and in excellent condition with no damage. There is a very shallow chip at the mouth but it might just have been manufactured as such– it looks like it’s always been there. Great piece and guaranteed old! I charge a 5.1% sales tax to all Wisconsin residents- sorry. It's mandatory! Thanks for bidding! Primitive SALT GLAZED STONEWARE Bowls from 19th Century Farmhouse Estate Sale
This listing is for a wonderful pair of primitive bowls. Perfect for display as center pieces or use in your country home. These two bowls measuring 7" round at the top. 4 5/8" round at the bottom, 22" circumference round at the top(around) and 3 3/4" tall have the usual glaze imperfections as expected from their era due to the heavy, sturdy make but show minimal wear or use except for one with slight hairline crack we have shown in the pictures. The pictures show the crack from outside and inside the bowl and we did fill with water. It did not start leaking. During this time period. Pottery glaze was left off the rims/lips of dishes that were to be stacked so chipping of paint/color would not be evident. Please take time to view all photos and ask any questions or request more pictures. They will be mailed in a Medium ... moreFlat Rate Box for most affordable rate due to weight of stoneware bowls. Thanks for looking and Have a Blessed Day! Check out my! Be sure to add me to your!
