This is one really cool old crock. With a great folk art scene painted on it. Signed R. Phillips Dated 64' We assume this means 1964. That's a 49 year old painting on a 120+ year old 2 gallon jug crock. 11" tall x 8" widest with a 3 1/4" opening. That's big enough for a large hand to fit into. At seven 7 pounds, its a nice large piece. The bottom of the crock says in pencil. Mrs. Maphine Loy Paint all around(Mrs. Bloomer as gift) Folks this is folk art at its best. Don't miss the good stuff. Take another look. The art is in really good shape with very minimal scratches. Smudges, dirt, rubs, the worst scratching is above the barn on the tree, and below the barn to the left. The scene is 360' There is is a barn. The wood is chipped. All of these are signs of, a great original piece. No lid or wire lid bale. We pictured the jug with a large 1 gallon jug so you can see that this is a larger than normal sized jug. This type of art was done for people who wanted to remember the farm life of their youth. antique wiskey crock jug, yellow ware, from around 1930's, 40's. good condition
This is a Vintage Yellow Ware Crock Whiskey Jug. I believe that this is from around the Ohio Valley and is quite old. Maybe from the 1930's to the 40's. It has 2 chips, one on the outside of the spout and one on the top rim where the dome starts. No cracks, and no crazing. The chips do not cause any problems. The size is about 1 Qt. 6 1/2" tall, about 5" diameter and the inside dim of the spout is about 7/8" I have made no attempt to clean it up as the patina adds to the character of it. Just think, if this thing could talk, an old drinker pulling this over his shoulder with his finger thru the finger hole and pouring a guzzle of moon shine down. Ya never know. Stunning antique gilt porcelain flow blue pitcher with face on spout
I'm selling an amazing flow blue pitcher with almost perfect gilding and a dramatic. Beautifully rendered face on the spout. I'm not sure of the age, but it's at least 19th century. It's about 8 1/2 inches wide from handle to spout and 8 inches tall. I purchased it in Dallas 20 years ago from a reputable Flow Blue antiques dealer for $750. The bottom doesn't appear to have marks, but I've included a photo so you can see. There are no chips or cracks in the pitcher; there is a tiny spot on one side that has some missing gilt, but it's very hard to see in the photo.

Jug is 8" tall. The word okinawa is raised,the island of okinawa is raised even more as is the pagoda thing on back,The small chips on lip and what looks like glaze peeling on neck area are both under the top coat of clear glaze, so am assuming it was made this way. No cracks.Perhaps it was a saki jug post WW2 but thats just a guess

Antique Early American Folk Art Stonewear two handled jug made in the New England area circa 1850-1870's. Very pretty blue color with five flowers Dandelions? painted on each side of the jug. At one time. This jug did have a cork and was used for dandelion wine or some other type of spirit. It measures approximately 7 3/4" tall and 7 1/2" wide. In very good condition considering it's age. Some wear shown on the handles and chip in one of the flowers. Please see photos for any imperfections. I tried to show every angle I could. There are no cracks or signs of restoration. This Gem was in a collection in Saginaw. Mi. The jug was recovered from the Lewenstein Bldg. in an Art Studio in 1939. The piece has been in an adult collection since then. There isn't a chip on it. Antique Sherwood Bros. Stoneware Jug. This stands about 6 1/4" tall. There is blue script writing which reads Sherwood Bros. New Brighton. PA Manufactuers. This dates from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. There is a small chip on the spout, there are 2 glaze chips at the bottom and a small chip on the underside of the jug. All damage is minor.
