Bottom Marked Minnesota Stoneware Red Wing 1 Gallon Common Jug w/ Brown Glaze
For your consideration is a one gallon. Common style jug, made by Minnesota Stoneware Co. of Red Wing, Minnesota. This company existed from 1883 to 1906; in 1906 it merged with Red Wing Stoneware Company to form Red Wing Union Stoneware Company. The embossed writing on the bottom is 1/2 of an inch tall and says: MINNESOTA STONEWARE CO RED WING; however due to sloppiness during manufacturing, some of this writing is indecipherable. The handle was attached by hand and was attached at an angle; this and other manufacturing defects make this jug unique. This jug was touching another piece of stoneware during firing and when the two pieces were separated, the other piece got off with some of this jug's glaze from the handle and side. This jug is 8 3/4" tall and the bottom is 7 3/4" in diameter. This jug has 0 cracks and 0 chips, ... morehowever it does have some glaze skips and the previously mentioned manufacturing defects. Check out my other listings as I combine shipping when practical. This saves the buyer money. The buyer is assured this MINNESOTA STONEWARE jug will be well packaged and shipped promptly. I will try to answer any questions. I'm very easy to get along with, if commnication is adequate; I check my email several times a day. This MINNESOTA STONEWARE jug will be shipped by USPS Parcel Select. Shipping for this MINNESOTA STONEWARE jug is $13.50. I prefer PayPal, but if the buyer chooses to pickup this MINNESOTA STONEWARE jug and wants to pay at pickup, that is OK. Payment is expected within 7 days of commitment to buy.

Antique Pennsylvania Salt Glaze 2 Gal. Single Handled Jug Beautiful Colors!!
There is no reserve on this great-looking antique salt glazed jug. Up for auction is a two gallon salt glazed jug from southwestern Pennsylvania. It is late 19 th C. with a single handle. The coloring is pretty spectacular with shading ranging from oranges to browns. There is also one flat side to this jug as if it were fired lying partially on its side. On one side is a painted ribbon mark. But it was not fired into the clay like the cobalt marks that we usually see. There is an incised mark around the neck of the jar as if the entire mouth and handle were applied at the same time before firing. There are no cracks or chips. But there is a roughness around the mouth of the jug. We will pack this jug box in a box to ensure its safety. This jug has great character. The measurements are: 11” x 7” in diameter. We only accept PayPal as payment. ... moreWe will ship according to the shipping calculator. Thank you for your interest.

Unique! Doulton Lambeth Mottos Jug, c.1902, Missing Handle
What a unique piece of British pottery! This Doulton Lambeth"Mottos" Jug was made around 1902 and has seen it's share of damage over the last 100+ years. The jug is missing the handle. And has two chips on the rim. There is also a chip on the bottom edge of the jug. Even with the damage, the exquisite decoration and design is intact and has a motto that circles the jug"Wishing these hard times to mend, here's to thee my honest friend. Jug measures 9 inches tall, and about 6 inches in diameter. The body of the jug is solid and has no cracks, so this could still be used as a flower vase or just for decoration. The bottom of the jug has several marks that date it to around 1902. This piece was possibly decorated by Doulton Lambeth artists Mary Goode and Annie Neal. Because of the condition it is in, I'm pricing this ... moreaccordingly! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

Antique Rye Jug Ceramic Pottery Buchan Scotland Marked and Numbered
Vintage rye ceramic pottery jug made by Buchan. Portobello, Scotland. Stamped on bottom and numbered 6/26 A. I am not really familiar with the brand. I just know it has been in my family for(guessing) at least 75 years. I can't find.another one like it, so I don't know what else to say about it. The bottom is ivory and the top is pink. Unfortunately, when I went to lift it by the handle, it broke off. As you can see, if you glue it back on, it looks fine. Otherwise this very old jug is in fine vintage condition. If you look closely, you can see the rings from the potters wheel. Very heavy. 8" high x 4 1/2" wide where the handle is.

A Rare 11" Tall Antique Torquay Lidded Redware Onion Bodied Jug
An Antique Torquay Redware Lidded Jug or Decanter. The piece is 11" tall with a 19 1/4" circumference bulbous onion body. At the base of the neck there are raised pin stripe lines. The jug is turned or look like it was. It has a darkened patina and delicate 3/32" thin sides. This beauty has two condition issues. There's a small 3/8"x 1/8" chip in the inside of the rim of the lid. And there's a hairline crack dowm one side of the neck both are pictured, and neither affect it's beauty or functionality. The neck is solid! This piece is in very good condition for it's age. I believe it was made between 1870- 1900, but I'm not 100% on that. I also don't know where it was made. The vessel doesn't have any marker mark only an old style number 2 impressed on the bottom. I can provide more pictures ... moreupon request. All my prices are negotiable! If you don't like the starting price feel free to offer a lower price. There are no Reasonable Offers refused! Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
