Antique Primitive Beehive Stoneware Crock Jug with Bail Handle / Moonshine Jug
This is an antique primitive beehive crock jug that belonged to my Mom. It appears to be very old but does not have any markings on the bottom. The handle is bent. But appears to be the original handle. There are a few spots where the glaze did not stick to the crock when it was glazed. There is a dark spot near the top of the jug. There are also a few chips around the top and bottom edges. The jug is about 10 1/2" tall and 25" around at the widest point. PayPal only please. Shipping only within the U.S. The cost of the shipping that I have listed is for parcel post to the farthest zone from me. I will adjust the shipping cost lower if you live in a closer zone to me. Charming! This is in very fine condition. I can find no flaws of any kind. Made by Lovatt's Potteries. Ltd. Langley Mill, near Nottingham, England, 1895. Today they are known as Denby, a favorite fine English Pottery. The bottom part of the jug is grey texture with posies hand painted over it; then there is a row of cream-coloured beading. The top half is cobalt blue with more flowers in pink, white and green. The pewter top is in fine condition, hinges work well, there is just nothing wrong with this lovely piece. Adams Rose Jug
This is a lovely jug made in England by Adams in the Adams Rose Pattern. Dating from about 1860. This jug is 6 3/4" high x 7" wide(including the handle) and has a 3 1/2" base. This jug has a six-sided base, has wonderful colors, is in very good condition, with wear commensurate with age and use. There are no chips, hairlines, spiders, flakes, etc. Posted with My items are in a store that is only open on Sundays. So I ship on Mondays. There is an imperfection in the glazing in the neck(front) That is a rough spot, where the brown glazing did not take) There is a hairline crack in the glazing on top and side of the handle(can be seen under a magnifying glass) Handle is solid. Rare antique 1863 Albion Cobridge Armorial Jug Wonderful blue salt glazed jug with twisted handle. The coats of arms of Scotland England Ireland and Wales, crowns and Prince of Wales feathers, dating from 1863. It was produced to commemorate the Royal Wedding of Edward. Prince of Wales and Alexandra of Denmark, later King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The base is stamped' Albion Cobridge' and W.B. for William Brownfield. It measures 5 1/2 inches/ 13.5 cm in height There is a 2 inch repaired crack to the upper rim. And there are two little metal pins, one each side of the handle where the original pewter lid would have been attached. Given its great age. It is in remarkable condition.

Up for auction today I am offering a Beautifully painted large stoneware jug. This piece has a beautifully painted blue design on the side and mouth of jug with rings around the bottom. I am not sure of the manufacturer or date of manufacture but It is marked and I have included a picture of the mark. It does appear to be a more recent production piece. This was acquired from an estate sale that offered many pieces of art and paintings from Russia and Eastern Block countries so it might have originated from that area.There are also pictures of the jug with a measuring tape to show size of the piece. This auction is for a rare& authentic 18 th century example of Worcester Porcelain. The first Worcester Porcelain was founded and made by Dr. Wall in 1751. He discovered a method of making Soft Paste Porcelain and decorated it with dark blue& white glazes. To imitate the Porcelain being made in China. There were many marks used during the“Dr. Wall Period” including crude imitation Chinese Seals. The antique Soft-Paste Porcelain Cup& Saucer in this auction is guaranteed to be from the 18 th century Dr. Wall Period. The saucer measures 5 ½” diameter and the cup is 2 5/8” tall by 2 ½” diameter. You can see a dark blue“Chinese Seal” mark on the bottom and the design of this cup& saucer. Imitating Chinese Imari. The bird& Flower design is finely hand painted and with the exception of some light wear to this painted decoration, the condition of this 18thC Worcester Porcelain Cup& Saucer is very good condition.
