Beautiful Stoneware/Earthenware Jug/pitcher**Rare Shape** No Reserve**
This is a RARE beautiful antique stoneware jug! It is gray with a blue raised design all over it. It has two different crests on the bottom and top and there is a very scary face right next to the pour spout. I could not find another like it online or at antique dealers. Years ago when I had an antique dealer look at it she said it was made in the early 1900's. She said it was made to hold alcohol(Wine) or water. She estimated a $400 value. since then I have not found one like it. It is quite heavy around 8lbs. Stands 18" tall and is 10 1/2" at its widest point. There are no markings on the bottom except for the#78. If anyone has any info at all on this jug I would appreciate it. Early 19th c. Small Ovoid Jug, Excellent Condition, No Reserve
Up for sale without reserve is a very small early 19th century ovoid jug. It has a single handle and tan/gray glossy glazed surface. The condition is excellent with only a few tiny glaze bursts from the original firing. The neck has five incised grooves and there is a single one at the bottom. Antique Stoneware Jug/Crock in Great antique condition. The deep brown glazed top is in perfect condition. The blue stenciling is quiet clear and easily read. There are no repairs on the jug. Note- There are some markings. Glitches and non detracting flea spots on the biege body of the jug, but they do not detract from its integrity. Please, see photos. There is a fingertip-sized chunk out of base. The jug is 11" tall and 7 1/4" wide at base. Stamped MURIATIC ACID F.O. SCHOEDINGER COLUMBUS. OHIO F.O. Schoedinger had been in business in Ohio since around 1890. In the sheet metal, roof and gutter work. He started as an 18 year old on N. High Street and soon expanded his business diversity in its roofing field. His company grew and moved into a 6 story building at 142 N. Vintage 2 gallon jug with I believe the salt glazed. Its approx. 13 1/2"x 9" brown or tan in color with the tulip& number 2 in blue. I'm not sure if its a tulip or not but from the ones on ebays that would be the closes to what it looks like. It has a couple tiny chips on the top edge and 1 on the side. I've showed these in my photo's. Its unmarked except for the flower& number 2. I've tried to show everything in my photo's.
