Vintage Stoneware Crock Jug - 2 Tone Brown/Tan & Off White
Vintage stoneware crock jug. The jug is a 2 tone brown/tan and off white. The jug is approximately 11" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter(measured on bottom) tape measure shown in photos as well. The jug is not perfect and does have some wear but just adds to the character of the piece. I tried to capture all main wear in the attached photos. There are some chips along bottom edge. An area of crazing on one side, a couple stoneware imperfections on one side in the brown area(doesn't look to be chips- looks to be be from when made) I have found no cracks. The neck looks to have been hand formed and the handle to be applied. Nice item. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Moonshine jug in good condition. 6-1/2" diameter at base, 2 tiny chips on inside edge of lip, crackling in light tan glaze on lower half, and some drip mark hazing of surface of dark brown upper half, otherwise any other scrapes, dings, bumps dimples or other surface irregularities on this jug are from the forming process! No makers marks found anywhere on this, but close inspection does seem to show indications of hand-forming around the neck and bottom of handle/loop. Large 2 Gallon Vintage 2-Tone Crock Mile End Distillery Advertising Whiskey Jug
For sale is a large vintage two-tone 2 gallon whiskey stoneware crock jug. It stands 16" tall and is 8 1/2" across the bottom and weighs almost 14 lbs. The wording on the tan section is Mile End Distillery Co. Ltd. 86, Mile End Road, E. 2. Overall the jug is very clean and in very good condition, the only flaw I can see on it is a hairline crack on the back side(see photo 4) I do not know if the crack goes all the way through, or if is just in the glaze, but it does not take away from the appearance of the item. The Mile End Distillery Company was in operation from 1921- 1932. Please closely review all of the photos for the material condition of the jug. From my grandmothers home back in the late 1950's is this ceramic stoneware cider. Moonshine jug. I remember this from way back when I was a kid. My grandmother passed in the late 70's and my mother kept it. It then went to my brother and he's had it till now. He's 63 years old so this little rascal is an oldie! It's always been in the house and shows little signs of wear or use. It's a very nice piece.

This listing is for a traditional shaped Jug. It has traditional colors of Americana Jugs Used to Store Liquids. The Letters USA are stamped into the bottom of the Jug. The Jug is 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide. The Jug weighs just under 1 pound. The cork is broken. I will also include another used cork. It is not quite the right size but will work or you can get a new cork at a craft or hardware store There is some crazing on the bottom, it does not come through the finish. Vintage Moonshine Jug Pressed Handle Crock 2 tone, whiskey jug
this has a couple surface cracks they do not go threw. I tried to show it in the pictures, and it has 2 small chips in the bottom they do not go threw they are just surface. the dark color is a nice deep brown on top and as it goes down the sides it gets lighter, it is 9" tall x with a 5.5" dia. on the bottom the opening on top is about 1" i bought this house full of stuff so much more to list. if a dimension is critical ask me to double check i can make a mistake i have made one so please ask. if you do not ask i have plus or minus inches 3.5" thanks for understanding. if you need ask a question and i will do my best to answer it. This is a very old crock jug with no markings on it that I could see. It looks like it might have had a label on it at one time. It is in the usual condition for something this old-some loss of paint. A chip or two, some marks& stains, the cork has been taped around the bottom so it will stay tight. It looks to be about a half gallon size. It stands 9" tall x 6" in diameter& weighs 3 lbs. 11.2 oz.
