This is a Brown and Beige Minnesota Stoneware Co. Red Wing Jug. It has some stains on the side but I took pictures of them they are not bad and would probably wash off. It has raised lettering on the bottom Minnesota Stoneware Co. Red Wing. It is 11" high and 7 1/2" across the bottom. It is in very good codition. No cracks or chips.

For your consideration is a two gallon bottom marked. Cone top jug made by Minnesota Stoneware Company of Red Wing, Minnesota. This company was founded in 1883 and existed until 1906, when it merged with Red Wing Stoneware and the merged company became known as Red Wing Union Stoneware Company. The glaze on this jug indicates it was manufactured after 1895; the bottom marking indicates it was manufactured before the merger happened in 1906. This stoneware jug has a total height of approximately 13 3/8" from the surface it is setting on, to the shoulder is approximately 8 7/8" and the bottom is approximately 8 7/8" in diameter. On the shoulder, are three chips; two of which are very minor. Around the bottom edge are some minor chips. All chips are in one or more pictures. For your consideration is a one gallon. Common style jug, made by Minnesota Stoneware Co. of Red Wing, Minnesota. This company existed from 1883 to 1906; in 1906 it merged with Red Wing Stoneware Company to form Red Wing Union Stoneware Company. The embossed writing on the bottom is 1/2 of an inch tall and says: MINNESOTA STONEWARE CO RED WING; however due to sloppiness during manufacturing, some of this writing is indecipherable. The handle was attached by hand and was attached at an angle; this and other manufacturing defects make this jug unique. This jug was touching another piece of stoneware during firing and when the two pieces were separated, the other piece got off with some of this jug's glaze from the handle and side. This is a really nice 1 gallon shoulder/ whiskey/ cider jug with cork. Marked on the bottom Red Wing Stoneware Co. This company was from Red Wing, Minnesota. The condition is very good– no cracks, no later years chips, on the shoulder edge there is a flaw that is glazed over, probably from manufacturing. There are 2 glaze pops and a couple rough spots. Having lived in Northern Michigan, I've seen quite a few Red Wing jugs& crocks– the condition of this one is a lot better than many I have seen. This is a nice. Bottom marked Red Wing(Minnesota Stoneware Co. wide mouth whisky jug in excellent condition. There are no cracks or chips, just a few light scratches and scuffs on the glaze that are almost invisible. It holds a little over a gallon and measures 8" H x about 8" W with a 2 3/4" mouth. This has a shiny gloss black glaze which is unevenly coated on the jug. The black color flows into a reddish Terra Cotta style color at some areas at the base and underside of the jug. This is marked Red Wing Minnesota Stoneware Co. on the bottom. This likely dates to about 1900. ITEM MEASUREMENTS This measures about 8 3/8" high. 7 3/4" wide and 7 1/2" ... moredeep. Beautiful dark brown glazed stone ware jug. Manufactured about 1900 by the Minnesota Stoneware Company. Which later merged in the early 1900's with two other pottery firms to form Red Wing Pottery. Jug is 7 1/4" high and 6" in diameter. Company name in high relief on bottom. Neck and handle are both chip free. Antique Red Wing Minnesota Stoneware Marked 1 Gallon Wide Mouth Brown Whisky Jug
This is a nice antique bottom marked Red Wing/ Minnesota Stoneware wide mouth whisky jug with dark brown glaze in good. Clean condition. There are absolutely no cracks, but there is a chip on the handle that was repaired with a hard clay-like material, shown close-up in the photos. The glaze is shiny and even with a few very light scuffs and scratches. It measures 8" H x 7 3/4" in diameter. It will be packed securely and insured during shipping.

XLNT Antique Red Wing Minnesota Stoneware Marked 1 Gallon Brown Whisky Jug
This is an excellent antique bottom marked Red Wing/ Minnesota Stoneware whisky jug in near-mint condition with dark brown glaze that was discolored along the bottom in the kiln giving it some wonderful green and yellow tones. There are absolutely no chips or cracks. Just a little scuffing on the bottom surface from use. It measures 8" H x 7 3/4" in diameter. It will be packed securely and insured during shipping.
