This is from my uncles estate items. Great old crock I am selling just as it is as I am not sure if the the old strap was how it was carried or not. We are originally from West Virginia so imagine from the stories I have been told that this crock carried its share of moonshine LOL. Description: This listing is for a very unique vintage moonshine jug. This jug is artist signed"D.G. 7-17-91" With an original drawing/painting of a cow's behind on one side of the jug. This jug is 12" tall and weighs 5.8 lbs. It does come with the original cork. The jug itself is in very good pre-owned vintage condition. There is a light crack on the bottom side that runs into the bottom of the jug, but this is hardly noticeable and isn't deep enough to even cause the jug to leak if moonshine was to be put into it. In fact, I first wrote this description saying it had no cracks and didn't even see it while taking the included photos. Anyway, it isn't a big deal and is on the side and bottom and not the front. It measures 15-1/2 inches in height and is 12 inches across. It is in perfect condition. No chips, no cracks. This thing takes the cake for Turkey Eye drippings/droppings(12) It has a bee sting 5(Tornado) it is Salt Glaze and has a wonderful hand hewed wood stopper. The handle and opening have absolutely no chips! The bottom edge has absolutely no chips. You will never see another one like it for sure. New York Stoneware Co 12"x7" Stoneware Jug - Great Cond&Markings
I have been trying to get to some good auctions the last couple of weeks here in history rich southern New England to freshen up the shop inventory for your shopping pleasure. This is a very nice piece of Stoneware and I want to say it is 1 1/2 gal for it sure looks bigger than 1 gallon. It is all nicely marked from Fort Edwards NY and the blue is nice and vibrant. Anyway I scored six nice stoneware pcs and will get them all in the shop and they are all from one gentleman's collection and I only wish knew more about stoneware and had more $$$ with me the other day because this as one great collection. It measures the mentioned 12" tall x about 7" wide and is in perfect collectable condition. I tried to picture it well to both show it off. Do most of the talking to hopefully answer some questions. I also tried to price it very ... morenicely hoping for a quick sale so I can go out and find some more good stuff for the shop. Thanks for your time and interest and for taking a look see.
