$8.40 Shipping Location: Owensboro, United States Exceptional quality. Small alkaline or salt glazed, primitive antique crock. 6 1/4 inches high, about 3 inch top diameter, about 4 1/4 inch bottom diameter. ... moreLooks to be just under 5 inches around(diameter) in the middle. Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots around the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. Please ask questions before bidding. Shipping to Lower 48 States only. No international sales. Payment due within 3 days of auction end. If you have a feedback score of 10 or less, you must contact me before bidding. In"as found" condition- this item is vintage, and not new. Photos are as important as my written description. $17.30 Shipping Location: Shelburne, United States We are pleased to offer a beautiful antique stoneware ovoid jelly crock. Finished in dark brown Albany Slip glaze. This crock was beautifully formed and ... morehas great color. These are hard to find and are great accent pieces. Pottery makers across upstate New York turned out millions of pieces of utilitarian stoneware in the 19th century. It was not considered valuable and as such. Was not preserved or well cared for. Much of it was finished in a dark brown glaze called Albany Slip. The glaze was high in mineral content which accounts for the variations in color- it can be almost black to lighter shades of brown. The firing process caused color variations as well. Many of the pieces show the fingerprints of the pottery who dipped the piece into the glaze before firing. We will be offering a number of these pieces in the coming weeks. They are great for accenting country or primitive decor. Please be sure to add us to your and check back often. Condition: Overall very good. There is 1 stone blast(a stone in the clay blew out during firing) and several areas that didn't get covered with glaze(as seen in photos) Size: 4 7/8" diameter at the top. Antique Salt Glazed Stoneware Pottery Jug Crock 1 Gallon 1800s Primitive Whiskey
Antique Jug This auction is for a really nice and very rare antique stoneware jug or crock that has a really nice salt glaze finish. The jug is rather narrow and it’s a very early model. But there are no markings minus what looks like a letter G stamped in the back. The jug measures about 11" tall and it has a very unusual pinched handle design that I’ve never seen. Really nice piece and in excellent condition with no damage. There is a very shallow chip at the mouth but it might just have been manufactured as such– it looks like it’s always been there. Great piece and guaranteed old! I charge a 5.1% sales tax to all Wisconsin residents- sorry. It's mandatory! Thanks for bidding! Shipping rules: If you happen to win more than one auction and live in the United States I will GREATLY discount shipping. Obviously. The discount will ... moredepend on the weight of each individual item and the physical characteristics of the shipment. Discount will be determined once all auctions are closed, or you can email me for the exact cost prior to the auctions closing. Return Policy: Returns are accepted on items in the event there is a discrepancy between the item description above and the actual condition of the item. I am also always willing. At my discretion, to work with the bidder to make sure their experience is positive, and will often return items if it’s not what the bidder expected. Please inquire before bidding if this is unclear. A request for return must be made within 3 days of delivery– there are NO exceptions to this rule. Bleeding_gums rules: Payment must be received within 10 days of auction close. Quality Shipping! Powered by The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.

EARLY STONEWARE HANDLED WHISKEY JUG J. FISHER LYONS N.Y. POTTERY GLAZED CROCK
We have here an incredibly nice stoneware WHISKEY JUG made by J. Jacob) Fisher. Lyons, New York. It is in really good condition for being well over 100 years old since it was probably made in the late 1800s. It has a chip about the size of 1/2 a nickle and 2 much much smaller nicks next to it(our last 2 pictures) There are also some very minor scratches and nicks to the glaze which just adds character to the jug. It is stamped in the front just below the neck which is a little hard to see" J. FISHER LYONS N Y" pictured) It has a really nice finger/thumb handle for holding onto the jug and tipping while drinking and it stands about 8" tall and is about 6 1/2" in diameter at the base. g6.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2B%3Eg6%3E-1493a4dcbdd-0x106-
