Vintage, 6", Made in the Ozarks, Mountian Dew, Earthenware Jug
This little jug was in a box of my grandparents that I found in the barn the other day. They passed 25+ years ago and it has probably been there since then. My grandparents used to make homemade beverages and they would use old jugs to refill them with the homemade liquid. It is a cute. White, 6" earthenware jug that says, The Ozarks, Mountain Dew, and on the bottom there is a sticker that says, Made in the Ozarks. It is in perfect condition and would be excellant for a collector. Beautiful Stoneware/Earthenware Jug/pitcher**Rare Shape** No Reserve**
This is a RARE beautiful antique stoneware jug! It is gray with a blue raised design all over it. It has two different crests on the bottom and top and there is a very scary face right next to the pour spout. I could not find another like it online or at antique dealers. Years ago when I had an antique dealer look at it she said it was made in the early 1900's. She said it was made to hold alcohol(Wine) or water. She estimated a $400 value. since then I have not found one like it. It is quite heavy around 8lbs. Stands 18" tall and is 10 1/2" at its widest point. There are no markings on the bottom except for the#78. If anyone has any info at all on this jug I would appreciate it. It will cost approx $20 to ship this. i will need your zip code to give an exact price. BESWICK ENGLAND CREAM GLAZED EARTHENWARE PITCHER/JUG/VASE
A great little Beswick earthenware piece with an industrial feel(shaped somewhat like a metal oil pitcher) which is in contrast to it's glaze- a soft cream with the appearance and feel of satin. It was made in England in the early 1950's I believe. Judging from the base which is impressed with"BESWICK ENGLAND" and Pattern No. 1553-1" and stamped as well with"Beswick England" There is a tiny black blemish at the base of the handle(something embedded in the glaze) and there is a section of crazing in the glaze to the left of the handle; otherwise however i t is in excellent condition having no stains. Cracks, chips or scratches. It stands 17cm tall from its base to top of spout and is 12cm in diameter at the bottom of the bowl. I like this pitcher for its simplicity and sculptural shape which displays beautifully. ... moreAnd also for its functionality- with its wide spout it pours perfectly for sauces and the like. And it converts to a vase when the need arises too, looking especially lovely holding a posy of white flowers.

NEWARK LIQUOR JUG Pottery Wine Spirit Earthenware Bottle Early 1900s Primitive
If you've got yourself a basement bar or require an authentic Period item for accurate decorative representation. Wheel-thrown pottery body with applied ring-finger handle. Most probably from the early 1900s. Overall measurements of about a foot high& eight inches acrosss No discernible hallmarks. But a good quality, utilitarian piece brought back from San Francisco, about fifteen years ago. No cracks. Dings or bruises; very nice& clean& thoroughly presentable. Naturally, there's a couple of flakes off the heel(as shown) that typically occurs when it's being removed from ... morethe kiln, since crockery tends to stick to the floor of the oven& needs to be'sawn' off. Antique North Carolina Earthenware Moonshine Liquor Whiskey Jug 1870
For sale is a Antique North Carolina Earthenware Moonshine Jug circa 1870. The jug was found in a hand hewn log barn by the owner who said the barn was built in the 1860's. The jug was under the floor in a space between the rock foundation. It is possible that it was put there after the barn was built. The jug is about 9.75" tall and 7" in diameter. The jug has something in it and even though I have washed it out there is still something inside. It is possible that a bird or other animal had made a nest inside. It is very heavy weighing over seven pounds. The way the jug is made confirms it's early creation. The glaze is glass and salt which confirms the approximate age of 1850-1880. The jug is in good antique condition with no chips or cracks. Please examine the photos carefully. Antique Taylor Tunnicliffe & Co. Earthenware jug
This fantastic jug was created by Taylor Tunnecliffe& Co. circa 1875-1898. It has a unique transfer ware design on either side of period drinking men and a jester. There is even a maiden delivering the wine. The pitcher measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 through its bulbous belly. The jug or ewer is made of earthenware and there is light crazing throughout. There is a touch of glaze wear inside the lip where there was once probably a cork and the tiniest flea bite pin prick along the edge. It is marked on the base with the companies logo and registration. It is really a unique item and reminds me of Royal Doultons Dickensware.

Old Earthenware Glazed 1 gal Moonshine - Whiskey JUG / CROCK - Pebbled Stoneware
From a M id S outh E state. Old Stoneware Salt-Glazed 1 gallon Whiskey/ Moonshine JUG Crock. Measures 10 1/2" height x 7" diameter; weighs almost 6 pounds empty. Two-tone base colors; brown upper 1/3 of jug and a tan bottom 2/3rd's. The flash of the camera in photos#5 and#6 really brought out the beautiful variants of color in the brown area not noticeable under normal room lighting conditions. The brown flecks in the tan area are noticeable as is the rough pebbled surface. Which from my research appears to be rather rare. I find no cracks or breaks. I find 2 small chips on the upper rim of the tan area. I find no brand marks. Has a wooden cork. A great decorative item. AntiqueColonial German Hand Painted Earthenware Pottery Medicinal Jug 1900-1940
This is a n antique German hand painted earthenware pottery medicinal jug. I am not sure of the exact age but it looks to be more than 75 years old. The jug is 8 and 1/2 inches high and has a 3 inch diameter base. There is a hairline on either side of the mouth of the jug an there is crazing commensurate with age. The gold lettering is fading as well as the gold trim on the handle. The hand painted flower detail is still very vivid and this is a nice piece for a primitive type decor. I believe this was once a jug for liquor or medicinal remedy. Free shipping is available for destinations within the continental United States. All of our items originate from outside sources. Very pretty mid 1800s outline printed & brightly painted earthenware jug
We are listing this very pretty mid 1800s octagonal earthenware jug which has outline printed designs which have been painted with bright flowers. And then further accented with luster trim lines. In the 1840s the Staffordshire potteries, as well as some of the other provincial potteries, began using this method. I believe this jug may have been made in Yorkshire(although it is unmarked) see page 176 of An Illustrated Guide to British Jugs for an 1840s octagonal jug from the Twiggs Pottery in Yorkshire which has some similarities to this jug. The jug is almost 7.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches at its widest point, and in good condition- it displays very well. There is a lot of crackling in the glaze, some losses to the luster trim, and a couple of tiny short hairlines on the back of the jug(near the base, and on the bottom of the handle) but they ... moredo not detract from this pretty piece. Please view the closeup pictures and judge for yourself. We can currently only accept bids on this from the United States. The United Kingdom, and Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the auction ending.
