The top part of this stoneware jug is glazed brown and the bottom part has a"dirty white" glaze. The white part of this jug is tapered. This jug dates from approximately 1900 and could have been manufactured with that marking after 1906. This jug has a height of approximately 4 1/4" The bottom is approximately 2 5/8" in diameter. Very Nice Stoneware Mini Jug From Millerstown, Kentucky
Up for auction is a very nice mini stoneware jug from Millerstown. Ky. The front is stenciled in red with SONGSTER’S/ PURE KENTUCKY/ SORGHUM/ BEST YOU’VE EVER TASTED” SONGESTER’S SORGHUM MILLS/ MILLERSTOWN, KY/ 1 lbs. within a decorative border. The base is incised with USA. This jug stands at 5 in tall and 3 in across the base. The glaze is in excellent condition and the red stencil is clear and easy to read. This little jug is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. There is a small area of discoloration along the base on the left side of the jug mentioned only for accuracy. Vintage 5" MIni Small Sample Size Brown Stoneware Pottery Whiskey? Jug Crock
This cute mini crock/whiskey sample jug stands 4 3/4 inches tall and is 3 inches in diameter. The only marking is a small number 3 on the bottom. Age and origin are unknown. It is a rich reddish brown color. Any imperfections are inherent to the glaze. There are no cracks.
