This antique batter jug is inches tall. The opening is 4.25 inches in diameter. The bottom of the jug is 6.25 inches in diameter. The wood bail handle ... moreis fully intact, but its black paint is worn. This black handle is characteristic of Swets Pennsylvania Dutch crocks, so that’s the best identification I can make. The metal does show some rusting on the bail handle. The top fits snuggly but is rusting as shown. The jug is marked #4.. The body of the crock is in good shape. I have found one chip on the lip and one hairline crack. Please refer to photos as they are a large part of the description. Shipping via USPS ground.

Antique Stoneware Batter Jug Early 1900's
This is an antique stoneware batter jug made around 1900 up for your consideration. Description- This batter jug is about 9.5 inches tall without the lid and 6.5 inches in diameter at the base. The inside diameter of the top opening is 4.25 inches and the inside diameter of the spout is about 1 inch. There are no markings on this jug that I could see. But there are two metal tags and one has a paper inside that says GS Elmore. I have no idea if it's original or what it is there for. The cover fits nicely. The inside is very clean. There is a black stripe about 1.125 inches wide that goes all the way around the lower third of the jug. There's a small chip on the bottom handle as shown in the last picture#12. The spout may have been repaired and if it was it's a good one. See Picture#11) It has some surface blemishes. Little pin ... moreholes and some discoloration in areas. Please refer to the pictures and thanks for looking. 40g.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2B%3E40g-14bab3c3e62-0x115-
