11" Tall Antique Lidded Redware Onion Bodied Jug
An Antique Redware Lidded Jug or Decanter. The piece is 11" tall with a 19 1/4" circumference bulbous onion body. At the base of the neck there are raised pin stripe lines. The jug is turned or look like it was. It has a darkened patina and delicate 3/32" thin sides. This beauty has two condition issues. There's a small 3/8"x 1/8" chip in the inside of the rim of the lid. And there's a hairline crack dowm one side of the neck both are pictured, and neither affect it's beauty or functionality. The neck is solid! This piece is in very good condition for it's age. I believe it was made between 1870- 1900, but I'm not 100% on that. I also don't know where it was made. This is a vintage(possibly antique) pitcher decorated profusely with transferware in cheery blues and reds with an Asian theme. There is transferware on both sides. Around the rim, a little"cameo" on the very front and on the inside of the spout. There is gold leaf decorating the handle. Measures 11" to the top of the handle. Has a small chip on the bottom rim that can only be seen when upside down. The interior is quite clean. I saw a tiny bit of crazing here and there. It is also marked on the front and the back which is usually not seen on these old bottles. Stoneware Jug Bottle Light Blue Wine Whiskey Vintage 11.1/4" Tall w Makers Mark This bottle is approximately 11.1/4" tall. The diameter is 9.5" and it weighs a little more than 2 pounds. There are some minor areas of peeling paint/glaze and a hairline crack or maker's defect along the neck. The bottom side is marked with what I believe to be the maker's mark with some numbers. I do not know the age or the maker. But I think this is old. The color is a light blue or some may call it a baby or sky blue.

Very interesting heavy thick walled glazed stoneware jug with applied handle. AKA whisky moonshine shoulder jug. It measures 11" tall and 7" wide at base. It has age discoloration. Crazing and makers imperfections on it but it is solid with no cracks or chunks missing. Really nice patina. I have owned it for 10 years and wood cork and cotton rag was in when I got it. Vtg/Antique 11" White Glazed Stoneware Jug-Buckeye Pottery-Macomb, IL-1882-1939
Offered is this vintage or antique glazed stoneware jug. Made by the Buckeye Pottery Company of Macomb, Illinois and marked on the bottom with their buckeye tree logo. Internet research finds that this company was in business from 1882-1939, when they were bought by another pottery company. I describe the color as"white" but of course as with most jugs it is not pure snow-white. But more of an ivory or very pale beige. It stands about 11" high and is just over 7" across on the bottom. I did not measure the jug's capacity but assume it is one gallon? The jug has a cork. Stamped with the words"Hardware& General Store" The jug is in very good condition. There are some small chips around the top rim and a couple of short. Thin surface cracks near the bottom(see last photo) Just about the entire jug shows ... moresurface crazing. As you might expect.
