Vintage Stoneware Crock Jug - 2 Tone Brown/Tan & Off White
Vintage stoneware crock jug. The jug is a 2 tone brown/tan and off white. The jug is approximately 11" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter(measured on bottom) tape measure shown in photos as well. The jug is not perfect and does have some wear but just adds to the character of the piece. I tried to capture all main wear in the attached photos. There are some chips along bottom edge. An area of crazing on one side, a couple stoneware imperfections on one side in the brown area(doesn't look to be chips- looks to be be from when made) I have found no cracks. The neck looks to have been hand formed and the handle to be applied. Nice item. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

It is 12" tall and has a base diameter of 8.75" and the actual mouth diameter of opening is 3.5" There are rounded grooves in the upper jug where an old handle may have once existed but has not survived. This stoneware jug measures about 8 inches high and about 5 inches wide. It is very old and most likely predates 1964 because it is stamped"Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-use of this bottle" which was required on bottles after prohibition and until the law requiring the notice was repealed in 1964. There is crazing but. In my opinion, it gives the jug some personality. There is the tiniest rough spot around the mouth and bottom of the jug. I show several photos of the mouth and bottom. This is an unusual whiskey/moonshine jug with the wire and wood handle. It is about 9 1/2" to top of jug and is almost 7" across the bottom. This is an old jug and the wire handles are bent. The chip on the top is just glaze deep and the one on the bottom is not bad. Considering the life these had it is a wonder they survived. Not sure how much it holds. Maybe 2 gals or less. I love this stone crock or jug some might say. But I have no idea how old it is. It might be handmade because I can't find any markings on it. The brown trim paint is slightly thicker in one area than the other. Another reason to think it's homemade. There are slight imperfections. It is pretty and it does hold water if you wanted to use it for a vase. There is a small area in the bottom where the paint or glaze is missing. It is just a little over 8 inches tall and almost 7 inches wide at the widest point. The very top is about 5 inches wide. Cool item! Please study pics as I said there are small imperfections. Shipping is high, The crock is heavy but it will be packaged very well to arrive safely.

Vintage 6.75" Stoneware Shoulder Jug with Finger Handle, Tan & Brown, USA Mark
Little Brown Jug Stoneware Shoulder Jug with Finger-Handle Two-Tone Brown(Tan and Dark Brown) Marked USA T his listing is for a very folks stoneware jug marked with an incised USA mark. In a two-tone brown glaze. There is an applied neck and handle with room for one finger. The jug measures 6.75 inches high at the top of the handle, 1-1/8 inches wide across the neck, and 4.25 inches wide across the footring. The jug is in very good condition. There is a small indented spot on the front of the rim lip. But it is under the glaze and original to manufacture. There are also a couple of pinpoint-size glaze pops, also original to firing. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The only mark I can find is an incised. Underglaze mark for"USA. The"S" is a bit larger than the U and A, which sometimes indicates a piece made by Brush Pottery.

Antique Stoneware Glazed Crock Whiskey Moonshine Jug brown and Tan.
I have a vintage glazed moonshine jug. It is in great shape no cracks in it. The cork is still partially in it as you can see in picture. It comes with a plastic vintage old grandad pour spout. The spout opens at the end for pouring as you can see in pictures also. There in a slight dip in the pottery but that was from when it was made it is not a chip look at pictures. The bottom is a little bit dirty. Again Please look at pictures before bidding. It's about 7 inches tall without the pour spout.
