Antique Jug This auction is for a really nice and very rare antique stoneware jug or crock that has a really nice salt glaze finish. The jug is rather ... morenarrow and it’s a very early model. But there are no markings minus what looks like a letter G stamped in the back. The jug measures about 11" tall and it has a very unusual pinched handle design that I’ve never seen. Really nice piece and in excellent condition with no damage. There is a very shallow chip at the mouth but it might just have been manufactured as such– it looks like it’s always been there. Great piece and guaranteed old! I charge a 5.1% sales tax to all Wisconsin residents- sorry. It's mandatory! Thanks for bidding! Shipping rules: If you happen to win more than one auction and live in the United States I will GREATLY discount shipping. Obviously. The discount will depend on the weight of each individual item and the physical characteristics of the shipment. Discount will be determined once all auctions are closed, or you can email me for the exact cost prior to the auctions closing. Return Policy: Returns are accepted on items in the event there is a discrepancy between the item description above and the actual condition of the item. I am also always willing. At my discretion, to work with the bidder to make sure their experience is positive, and will often return items if it’s not what the bidder expected. Please inquire before bidding if this is unclear. A request for return must be made within 3 days of delivery– there are NO exceptions to this rule. 19th c SALT GLAZE MOLD RELIEF JUG This auction is for a salt glaze jug in relief with numerous faces. Rams, and possible cherbs. Antique Cobalt Blue Decorated Stoneware Jug; Old Salt Glaze 19th Century Pottery
Up for bids we offer a beautiful. 19th Century, 2 gallon, stoneware jug in exceptional condition. Right out of an estate, this salt glazed piece has a folksy, cobalt blue floral decoration on the front as well as an underscored number"2" above it. It was found in the western New York region and isn't signed by the pottery that produced it but there's a good chance it is a Lyons- Fisher or Burger jug. It has a gorgeous, dark, and earthy coloring along with that speckled, salt glazed surface. This piece is very well preserved and has only one small pitted type flaw near the handle. There are no other chips, not even around the spout or the bottom edge. The handle hasn't been broken and there aren't any cracks or hairlines anywhere on the piece. As a little bonus, we'll include the very nice, hand-carved wooden ... morestopper it was found with. The jug measures about 13 1/2 inches high with a bottom diameter of 8 1/4 inches while the very top measures 2 1/4 inches across. Antique Vintage Primitive 2 Tone Salt Glaze Stoneware Jug/Lamp Hand Painted
This is a wonderful old brown top salt glazed whiskey jug measuring approximately 11 inches tall and a diameter of approximately 7 inches. The jug has no cracks but does have a few chips. 4 around the ledge of the jug, 2 of which are not that noticeable because they are located almost right on the ledge and blend in very well. The other two are just below the ledge(see picture 3) This jug also has a small hole drilled at the bottom of the back side for an electric cord(see picture 3) to be used as a lamp. The front side of the jug has an hand painted apple motif. Some of the paint has rubbed off but again does not in any way take away from the beauty of this jug and in fact would be expected for the age. The handle is perfect and the jug has had no repairs. There are some manufacturers defects(see picture 4) the most apparent which looks ... morelike a dent. I think it enhances the charm of this old jug. A beautiful jug for any collector or for decorative purposes.

Similar examples typically sell in the $400-800 range, depending on condition and complexity; more information on these fascinating jugs can be readily found on the internet. ... moreMeasures approximately 7"W overall, including handle; 8-1/4"H to top of handle, and 7-1/2"H to top of rim. Good luck, and be sure to check my other Auctions ending shortly. Thanks. Some brief information on Puzzle Jugs follows: The defining feature of a puzzle jug is its pierced neck. Which makes it impossible to pour or drink the contents. In fact, the jug is made with a hollow handle and a hollow ring around the neck, typically fitted with two or three spouts. The idea is that the contents can be sucked up through the handle and drunk from one of the spouts by covering the others with your fingers. However, this might be a little too obvious, so the potters typically included at least one additional small hole, usually up underneath the handle, which also had to be covered before drinking. There is no reserve on this great-looking antique salt glazed jug. Up for auction is a two gallon salt glazed jug from southwestern Pennsylvania. It is late 19 th C. with a single handle. The coloring is pretty spectacular with shading ranging from oranges to browns. There is also one flat side to this jug as if it were fired lying partially on its side. On one side is a painted ribbon mark. But it was not fired into the clay like the cobalt marks that we usually see. There is an incised mark around the neck of the jar as if the entire mouth and handle were applied at the same time before firing. There are no cracks or chips. But there is a roughness around the mouth of the jug. We will pack this jug box in a box to ensure its safety. This jug has great character. The measurements are: 11” x 7” in diameter. We only accept PayPal as payment. ... moreWe will ship according to the shipping calculator. Thank you for your interest.

Antique Beehive Jug Old Stoneware Vtg Primitive Salt Glaze Cobalt Blue Pottery
Hello My name is Alexandra. Please do not be afraid of my low amount of sales. I have learned from my father who has sold over 800 items on E Bay with 100% Positive feedback. You can be assured of the same experience as the people who purchased from him. It is my intention to list some of the nicest. Oddest, unusual collectible old items ever. I can say this because I already have possession of them and it is just a matter of listing them. I am willing to bet this will be your favorite site to visit. I believe that I have a good eye for old unusual collectibles. Please put me on your favorite list and check back once a week to see what I am listing. All items will have insurance and a tracking# I will let you know once the item is shipped. Items will be packaged well to ensure safe delivery. I am paying my own way through college and all ... morebids are greatly appreciated. Enough introduction, I hope you enjoy this journey and here's to you becoming my favorite customer. I really don't deal with jugs a whole lot. But this one really caught my eye. It really has that beehive shape to it. Especially since the bottom narrows down just like the top does. Most times it is just the top. There are two things that I will mention about it and you can decide for yourself with the pictures. Towards the bottom below the handle is a small dime sized piece that is chipped off a little. It does not go through and is just on the surface. But is there just the same and needs to be mentioned. The other one is on the handle where the thumb is placed. It is a different color than the rest. I am not sure if this was made like this to give the thumb a not so smooth surface for gripping possibly. It looks to have been made like this from the factory because the color closest to the spout bleeds over onto the lighter colored part. Regardless. It is a very interesting jug and will compliment any collection. It stands approximately 14 inches high without the wooden stopper. $22.00 will ship it anywhere in the lower 48 states. Please che

VINTAGE RED WING 1 GALLON STONEWARE SHOULDER JUG SALT GLAZE MINNESOTA
This is a really nice 1 gallon shoulder/ whiskey/ cider jug with cork. Marked on the bottom Red Wing Stoneware Co. This company was from Red Wing, Minnesota. The condition is very good– no cracks, no later years chips, on the shoulder edge there is a flaw that is glazed over, probably from manufacturing. There are 2 glaze pops and a couple rough spots. Having lived in Northern Michigan, I've seen quite a few Red Wing jugs& crocks– the condition of this one is a lot better than many I have seen. The cork looks old but I have no way to know if it's original or not. Measures approx. 10 3/4” tall by 6 3/4” jug diameter. Please look at the photos& ask any questions you might have.
