Beautiful Taunton Silver Plate Co. Tea Pot Egyptian Detaili ng and Victorian Floral Etchings Marked"Taunton" Silver Plate Co" and"Tripleplate" ... moreAlso has what appea rs to be the number 900 After doing some research. The mark appears to be the one attributed to Taunton, circa 1853-1859. Please see http:www.sterlingflatwarefashions.com/SPMfgs/SPT1.html. Little sign of any silver plate left. There are strips of bright silver along the seam between the top and the bottom of the pot(difficult to see in the photos) It almost appears as if a repair was made at one point. But it is difficult for me to tell, even from the inside. Numerous scratches but no significant dings or dents. One of the feet is broken but the pot still sits level. Please see photos for a closer look. Measures approximately 10.5" tall and 8.5" spout tip to edge of handle The pot i tself is about 5.75" at its widest diameter. A n estate sale purchase from about 15 years ago. With the original intention of having it replated. I have had it di splayed in my formal living room for as many years. But have decided to part with a few things. I have loved it a s it is for all these years and find it to be a truly unique piece. But with 2 kids in college and 2 more going soon enough. I'm parting with some treasures. You know ho w i t goes!

Antique English 19th Century Soft Paste Porcelain Jug or Pitcher with Gilt Trim
Antique English 19th Century Soft Paste Porcelain Jug or Pitcher with Gilt Trim English antique soft paste porcelain jug from the mid 1800’s. The ornate soft paste jug is a beautiful lavender-blue and white and features two allegorical scenes on the side panels in relief. One scene depicts a woman holding a Caduceus. The staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology, and a child sitting on her lap as two young children pull her carriage. The second scene depicts a woman in a carriage being pulled by two dogs as a putto with baskets of flowers hovers above her. A simple border that terminates in a shell form, surrounds both of the scenes. The front of the jug depicts a tree. There pitcher is accented with brilliant gilt trim and decoration throughout and the front of the pitcher has a decorative gilt monogram on the front. The jug is unsigned ... moreand unmarked. There is a bit of faint gilt loss, particularly on the rim, lip of the spout and on the acanthus leaf handle. There is a tight ¼” hairline on the interior where the handle meets the body and another 1” tight hairline on the bottom rim. The hairline does not go into the interior or prevent water storage. Antique Brown & Mustard Decorated Redware Pitcher; 19th Century Folk Pottery old
Here's a beautiful. 19th century redware pitcher in very good condition! Thick, rugged, and heavy, this piece has an ovoid shape with a wide midsection. It has a gorgeous blend of colors including mustard, brown, and greens. The glaze& oxides were somehow applied in a manner where it didn't adhear in certain places and other parts were not glazed at all, including the bottom. In other areas the glaze is drizzled or running downward. When fired, interesting characteristics were created including mottling and a speckled effect. The unglazed red portions have an original, grungy patina that's the result of past use, places it was kept, and the passage of time. Oddly enough. There's some sort of slip decoration on the front, under the spout, that is difficult to discern. It probably was a name or some sort of writing and part ... moreof a date where a mistake was made and the entire piece was glazed over in this unique manner to cover it up. It looks like a capital letter C with a last name under it, followed by 1874 or 1879, perhaps. The way the piece was glazed as well as wear and tear makes it very difficult to make out. In fact, we didn't really notice the writing until after viewing one of the photos while posting this auction. It's an interesting peak into the history of this old pitcher and perhaps if you are skilled, you may be able to determine what it says under that glaze. Regardless. This is a very attractive piece of pottery that also has decorative incised bands, an applied handle, a charming country-style shape, and of course its very nice coloring. It measures 10 1/4 inches high while the diameter of the bottom is 4 1/8 inches. The opening of the pitcher is 5 1/4 inches including the spout and the widest point in the middle is 7 1/2 inches. It weighs over 4 pounds. We found no cracks or hairlines, only some old pitting on the interior that isn't structurally significant. There is surface wear and loss of glaze but nothing that detracts from its beauty. This piece is still even

Orkney Collectibles presents: Maddock Pottery Trenton NJ USA Flow Blue Delft Pitcher We are pleased to offer this lovely Maddock Pottery Company Royal Porcelain Blue Transferware Pitcher manufactured at the Lamberton Works of Trenton. New Jersey, America. The company was owned by Thomas Maddock& Sons, Moses Collear, C.A. May and Thomas P. Donoher. This beautiful pitcher features a Delft Dutch water scene in Holland with windmills and sailboats. Vintage antique Maddocks porcelain large pitcher with a nice grey blue and white Dutch and sailing vessel design. Reads: MADDOCKS WORKS LAMBERTON ROYAL PORCELAIN. Measures approx. 11 1/2" at its tallest. And 9" in diameter at the base. No chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing and I would consider it in good condition for its age. Has some staining on the inside that you can see as it has ... morenot been cleaned and had dirt in it. A great display piece- there is no apparent repairs or cracks evident AS IS condition. However, no apparent crazing, dirt inside, some use evident Here for your perusal is this Wonderful Porcelain Water Pitcher It would have once been part of a set. There would have been a large bowl to hold the water for the washing of the face and hands. There might have been a soap dish. It was made by the Maddocks Lamberton Works out of Trenton. New Jersey. It was called Royal Porcelain. Based on the back stamp on the base. The Pitcher possibly would have been made between 1892 and 1924. Based on the nature of its usage, it was mostly on the earlier side. This pitcher is huge. At least as pitchers go. The approximate circumference of the body is 25 inches. Its tallest point is 11 inches at the spout. It weighs in at over 4 pounds. It is embellished with grey blue and white detailing. My guess is of a charming Dutch village and sailing vessels. Certainly it has slightly faded with time and use. But there are no surface type chips on the base. There is normal wear to the base. I have not cleaned the pitcher and it is dirty inside, but I have left that for

Antique Blue and White Parian Pitcher Very Unusual Scallop Shell Motif Creamer
Lovely. Unusual stylized sea shell decoration on Parian Pitcher. The scallop was often carved into American Chippendale furniture from the 18th Century. Perfect size for milk or cream. Among my grandmother’s treasures was a collection of Relief Molded and Parian Pitchers. This pitcher is the perfect size for milk or cream. Indeed my grandmother often used it after dinner for coffee. The overlapping scallop shell motif is very unusual in a pitcher. Even more so for a Parian pitcher. The shells are further highlighted by the use of blue slip between the rows. It fits right in with my grandmother's love of New England. This type of stylized scallop shell was often carved into the famous antique Chippendale furniture. Made in New England. Typical for Parian pitchers. This one is very delicate and thin walled. It is probably English. Although ... morethe interior is glazed—therefore usable—which was a distinguishing feature of American Bennington Parian ware. It probably dates from the 1850s. Size: about 5 ¾ inches tall and about 4 inches wide at the widest and 5 inches from handle to spout. Condition is great except for a what appears to me as a couple of manufacturing flaws: a few tiny dark spots. Some surface hairlines near the spout that have darkened with age and what looks like a chip on the bottom ridge, except its edges are smooth. To me. That suggests that it happened before it was fired. The hairlines do not extend to the inside of the pitcher. Although one can be seen from the inside because it is darkened and because the wall is delicate and thin. They have obviously been there for quite a while and I would assume they happened during or shortly after the pitcher's firing. While it was cooling. A very unusual blue and white Parian pitcher that is also very useful. See my other auctions for more antique pitchers and New England serving pieces with scallop shells. Terms and Conditions: I only accept PayPal and ship to the PayPal account address. Payment is required within 7 days of the auction’s end. Pl

The sponging continues around the rim of the base, the inside rim of the spout, and the entire handle. The handle has a thumb guard, and another 4"10.2 cm) below that. The pitcher appears to be earthenware as you can see this from the unglazed rim on the base. It was covered in a white tin glaze with blue, and then a glossy glaze. There is no Mark on the bottom. This would predate the first registry diamond in 1842. The pitcher shape with the oversized spout and bulbous lower body with ... morea foot was popular in the 1840s. ANTIQUE 1820-1830 ENGLISH BLUE & WHITE SPONGEWARE HELMET SHAPED PITCHER
This early pitcher has very defined sponging. The English cut the sponges in a much more fine and detailed manner. This is also called an ewer. When it has this oversized spout. It measures 10" 25.4 cm) in height, 7" 17.8 cm) in diameter at the widest point of the body and 4 3/4" 12.1 cm) in diameter at the base. The mouth of the pitcher measures 6" 15.3 cm) from spout to handle and is 4 3/4" 12.1 cm) across. The"C" shaped handle is heavily sponged. There are double, overlapping, concentric circles on the inside and outside of the spout. The first row of double circles on the body match the spout, except they are not overlapping. The next two rows are divided by two double rings. The two rows have double, multi-pointed stars, that also do not overlap. There is a very similar pitcher in my yelloware book, ... morethat has black sponging over the yelloware, dates to 1810 and was made in Yorkshire. The only difference is the bottom shape. The bottom of the pitcher in the book comes down straight and this one has a"pedestal urn" shaped base. This pitcher looks to be Ironstone because the glaze is not interrupted, but if you look at the base rim, there are two areas where the earthenware pottery is showing through. Also, the weight is substantial, but an Ironstone pitcher of this size would be heavier. This pitcher is in great condition, especially considering its age and composition. There is only one thing, and is not technically damage. It has a light beige stain on the bottom that does not come through to the inside surface. There is a $1.00 charge for a new box within a larger new box and ample packing material to ensure safe delivery. International Buyers Please Note: Import duties. Taxes and related charges are not included in the item price or shipping and handling charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility. HMS Agamemnon was a 64-gun third-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy. She saw service in the American Revolutionary. French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, and fought in many of the major naval battles of those conflicts. She is remembered as being Nelson's favorite ship, and was named after the mythical ancient Greek king Agamemnon, being the first ship of the Royal Navy to bear the name. The future Lord Nelson served as Agamemnon's captain from January 1793 for 3 years and 3 months. During which time she saw considerable service in the Mediterranean. After Nelson's departure, she was involved in the infamous 1797 mutinies at Spithead and the Nore, and in 1801 was present at the first Battle of Copenhagen, but ran aground before being able to enter the action. Despite Nelson's fondness for the ship. She was frequently in need of repair and refitting, and would likely have been hulked or scrapped
