It is a thin hairline and still holds fluids nicely. also there is a small chip to the right of the bottom hairline otherwise the condition is great. it has the big finger hole on the top but this jug would be a challenge to throw over your shoulder. Has no cracks. Has only two deep chips and a couple very small nicks as shown in several close-up photos. One chip is at the edge of the handle and the other is at the top edge of the opening. The two small nicks are also on the edge of the handle. There is a small spot on top of the opening where the glaze did not fully cover the pottery during the original ... morefiring. Great very large(13.5" tall. 9.5" across) gray/cream colored primitive country crock jug in excellent condition. Cork has worked its way inside and I can't retrieve it. Not sure of age- it has no maker's marks on it. Bottom has one small place that could be a chip or could simply be part of the way it was made, but it cannot be seen when the jug is sitting upright(I've taken a picture of it) Great collectible piece and would look fabulous in any country or primitive setting! This delightful pair of lamps was purchased from an old dusty estate. They measure about 12" to the top of their caps. And 17 1/2" to the tops of the socket. The cold painted bodies are free from cracks or chips. There is some scattered wear to the hats and bases as shown. This could be easily touched up if desired. The wiring is old and should be replaced. No maker's marks that I could find. A really special pair of lamps. Thanks for looking.
