The gorgeous design features bold florals in deep relief and reeded curved handles. The creamer has a parcel gilt interior, the sugar has no gold wash on the interior. Both pieces stand 5 1/8” 13 cm) tall at the handles. This pair has no monogram or inscription. These two are in very good condition. With no dents, breaks, or repairs. Both pieces have minor wear on the outer top rim, lower edge, handles, and on the high-point edges of the busy design. The interior of the sugar bowl has lots of utensil scratches and tiny gouges. The interior of the cream jug has fewer scratches, but it does have a few tiny pits. The very top rim of both pieces have tiny gouges. As with all of our auctions. Small Antique Folk Art Pottery Creamer - Pitcher Earthenware Hand Painted Tulip
Hi. For sale a small antique redware pitcher or creamer. The pitcher is cream colored with hand painted brown slip glaze Pennsylvania Dutch Tulips. Leaves, dots and lines. There is a chip on the bottom rim painted band(see picture) There is some crazing and some paint is wearing off due to age. I took close up pictures to show the paint fading and crazing. Crazing is mostly on the top of the pitcher or creamer. You need to look close to see the crazing- there is also a few tiny pottery marks or holes from when it was made. Fantastic molded relief pitcher. English, Marked October 1, 18_ There is a bubble in the glaze and I cannot read the exact year but this is from a collection of English Pitchers from the early to mid 1800's. The mark on the bottom also says"Published by W. Ridgway& Co, Vanley. The label that is shown is as found from a Maryland antique shop. The piece is glazed inside and out. 9-1/2" tall and 8-3/4" from the outermost part of handle to tip of spout. Wonderful detail. No crazing which is remarkable for the age of this piece. Lovely 3-Piece Victorian Porcelain Chamber Set Pitchers & Covered Soap Dish
This auction is for a Lovely 3-Piece Victorian Porcelain Chamber Set which consists of two differently sized matching pitchers and a covered soap dish. The set Displays Wonderfully together. I am not certain of the maker. Origin or the exact age. The small pitcher has a smudged backstamp that appears to resemble a fleur de lis. There are no other markings. I believe they date to the late 1800s to early 1900s and likely are French porcelain. They are beautiful pieces. Whatever their birthright. They are molded or embossed with Victorian Scroll detailing in very white porcelain and sharp gold accent lines. The large pitcher measures 11 3/4 inches tall; the matching smaller pitcher measures 7 1/4 inches tall; and the soap dish is 5 1/2 inches across. The large pitcher has a chip in the side of the spout(see last photo) The pitchers also have ... moresome wear of the gilt accents at the spouts as expected from use. Size 7.75" hgih. White salt glaze, Here we have a very old stoneware jug with high relief gothic details made by Charles Meigh of Staffordshire England in the year 1844. The handle has a factory flaw on the bottom where it connects to the body. It looks like it has separated a little, other side is fine, see pictures of both sides) At the top of the handle there is a stress crack, the handle connects in a V only one side has the crack( see both pictures) Over all I would say the jug is in very good condition especially being that it is one hundred and seventy years old. Vin tage Universal Cambridge Potteries Ivory Disk Water Pitcher Jug with Cap& Cork This fantastic water pitcher jug is in very good to excellent condition for its age. There is a lot of crazing to both pitcher and cap and a few kiln kisses(see photos 8. 10, 12) There are a couple of rough, discolored spots on cap(see photo 9)may just need a good washing-I didn't want to get cork wet. Cap has original cork which is in excellent condition. There is a spot on the lip of jug that looks like a crack, but I don't think it is-it looks more like a spot that didn't get glazed and then got discolored between the area of glazed and unglazed(see phot 7) For its age this is in very good to excellent condition; only real problem is glazing. From what my research has uncovered, I believe this was made by Universal Cambridge Potteries in ... morethe 1930's, but I could be wrong. There are no markings at all on the piece. I am guessing it was made as early as the 1930's and as late as the 1950's, but believe it is earlier than later. Pitcher measures approximately 7" across. 7" high, and 3" wide. Cap measures approximately 11/2" across at top, 2" across at widest point, 5/8" across bottom, 1 3/4" tall with cork, 3/4" tall without cork, and 6 3/4" around at widest point. Lovely! Embossed White Creamer or Pitcher Royal Ironstone Charles Meakin 1870-82
From a cousin’s estate we have a WONDERFUL vintage embossed pitcher or creamer. It is white Ironstone made by Charles Meakin in England. This is a smaller cream pitcher with embossed flowers and possibly a ribbon on the backside by the handle. The top of the handle is ornate as well. The seam can be seen on the side- that is not a crack. There are speckles here and there under the glaze- kind of flaked blue or black. There are a couple small spots where the glaze is flaked off near the spout. No cracks and no chips. It is in extremely lovely condition for its age! See photos. Approximate measurements: 5-1/2" tall to handle and spout. 4-5/8" tall at middle, 5" from handle to spout, 2-7/8" across. The bottom is slightly oval measuring 2-3/4" x 2-1/5" across. Vintage Reproduction of Royal Worcester Water Pitcher - Gold Elephant Handle
Vintage reproduction of Royal Worcester Antique Pitcher. Elephant handle in gold. Very good condition with no chips or cracks and very minimal wear to the gold. Mark on bottom reads G771. Researching this pitcher on line. It appears as if the original Royal Worcester pitcher was produced sometimes in the 1890s. Different nice people on eBay have different ideas of exactly when and where this reproduction was made, varying from turn of the century Germany to the mid-40's to mid-50's in occupied Japan. I do know for certain that this pitcher had been sitting in my parent's home since the mid-50's on. I just don't know the exact time, place, and circumstances of when it was obtained. The pitcher stands 7-1/2" at its lip. There is a black mark on the base of the pitcher that I was unable to remove.

Rare Antique Vintage Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China Pitcher
In about 1853. At age 28, Lewis Henry Meakin left a successful plumbing business to embark upon a china manufacturing business venture with John Farrall. The pottery and china industry was very competitive and their business on Cannon Street, Shelton, Stoke-upon-Trent, England, was short lived. They declared bankruptcy and closed their doors on August 3, 1855. It is not known how many pieces of china Lewis H. Meakin and John Farrall produced. But surviving pieces are extremely rare. Soon after the china business failure Lewis Henry Meakin moved his family to America, and lived out his remaining years in Ohio. His son, also Lewis Henry Meakin, born in 1850, was a fairly well-known US landscape painter. John Farrall went on to work at another china manufacturer in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. Lewis H Meakin Ironstone China is extremely rare. ... moreAnd to find a piece in good condition is rare indeed. This pitcher is one of the very few remaining pieces produced by Lewis H Meakin at the Ironstone China Company between 1853 and 1855, in Stoke-upon-Trent, England. The pitcher is approximately 9 inches tall. And 8 inches from the end of the spout to the end of the handle. The pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The glaze is crazed on both the inside and the outside of the pitcher, which would be normal for a ceramic pitcher approaching 160 years old. A close up of the crazing is shown in the photo of the bottom of the pitcher. The pitcher is slightly stained on both the inside and the outside. The inside is more heavily stained, but not quite as dark as it appears in the photo of the inside. The best illustration of the true color of the pitcher is represented in the first picture. From the lack of wear on the base and the staining it would be easy to assume that this pitcher has spent most of its life on a shelf with dust laying on the inside for a long period of time.

Very Rare Mintons Newcastle Victorian Wash Basin with Two Jugs Fully Marked This is a rare and old Minton set. Consisting of a massive wash basin and a big matching jug, plus a smaller jug. Even the mark is an oddity: a brown MINTONS NEWCASTLE with a globe that doesn’t look like any of the Minton porcelain globe marks. See pictures. This was presumably made in the earliest years of the Minton factory. The set is made of yellow china. With an overall pattern of dark brown snowflakes and light brown leaves and berries and dolphin-shaped jug handles. This set is beautiful but utilitarian and nothing like the delicate china made by the modern Minton company. All pieces have the brown mark MINTONS NEWCASTLE. Plus various impressed marks and numbers that are more or less illegible. SIZE: The basin is about 16 inches across and about 5 inches in ... moredepth. The big jug is about 12 ½ inches in height. The small jug is about 6 inches in height. CONDITION: Remarkable antique condition with very light crazing. Minor flaws noted below. Wash basin: The inside bottom has a white background. During the eighteenth century, English potters tried to copy Chinese porcelain, which was immensely popular with the upperclass British. They developed salt-glaze earthenware, which was whiter than other pottery, and which therefore looked more like porcelain.Around 1775, a new technique for decorating pottery called transfer printing was developed in Battersea and by Sadler& Green at Liverpool. In this process, a metal plate, most often copper, was deeply engraved with the desired design. Then paint was rubbed onto the warmed plate and excess paint was cut off with a palette knife. After being cleaned with a cloth called a boss, a piece of tissue-paper was dampened and pressed onto the plate. Up for your consideration is a very large. Beautiful& unique stoneware pitcher from an estate sale. When we rescued this beauty from the previous owner, it was very dirty& discolored. After removing the layers of aged residue, I uncovered this beautiful piece of art! I didn't even see the gold trim& borders when I purchased it. I believe it is painted to appear crazed. Because the handle is in excellent condition with not crazing. The base color is a pale gray, the designs are a pale pink and shades of blue that look more like lavender. Gold trim on both the top& bottom, with a beautiful gold handle. The base was not glazed where it sat in the kiln. The bottom has a painted circle in gold with either 16 or 91 inside the circle. Dudson was a prolific firm that produced wares in England and I estimate that this jug or tankard was produced around the mid to latter 1800's. This lovely water pitcher stands some 9 1/2 inches tall to the top of the handle. The name"Dr. Kunkel" appears in gold letters on both sides. More gilding is on the handle and rim. The base is marked with an impressed"GREENWOOD CHINA/ TRENTON U.S.A. Which dates the piece to 1886 or slightly later. No chips or cracks. There is some wear to the gilding. As the photos show. This pitcher is mainly green and pink, with navy blue and orange flowers, and this pitcher has hand painted gold trim and decor. This pitcher is in good antique condition, with some rubbing to the gold, some minor scuffs, and general wear from age and storage. I am uncertain of the exact age of this pitcher. Up for auction is a very large Mexican Pitcher from an estate sale. It is made of clay and looks quite primitive. Measures about 14" tall and 8" wide. For reference. I included a photo next to the Largest size(22 oz) Yankee candle jar and a tealight. It is in excellent condition. However it does a have a couple small chips that I have photographed. The paint is very good. No major chips or missing paint(please keep in mind it is VERY old- it does not look new) Handle has a flattened style with a stripe running down it. Antique Victorian Huge English Wash Bowl Water Pitcher Aesthetic Blue Transferware HARVEST by Della Robbia Lovely and large water pitcher made by a not so well known North Staffordshire potter called Della Robbia Co. They were only in existence from 1894 until 1901. Located in Birkenhead. The pattern name"HARVEST" is printed on the bottom of the pitcher. The center swatch is indeed that of some workers in the field with flowers and stems projecting through it and around it. On the back side of the pitcher, the scene is repeated but in a smaller size. Between the two scenes there is a small sprig of flowers and leaves. This pitcher has a segmented melon shaped body. Scalloped top and rope handle. The pitcher measures 11-1/2" tall and about 8" wide(across the widest part of the body) This is the size you would find with ... morea wash basin bowl! Would look so nice in a cottage decor or at a bed and breakfast. The pitcher is in excellent condition! If I didn't know its age and only looked at its condition. I would think it was nearly new! There are no chips or cracks or crazing. The only very minor thing I see are some light grayish marks along the rope handle which appear to have been done in manufacturing, perhaps thinner paint coverage. Also, a few craze lines on the bottom exterior of the pitcher and a few inside the pitcher, only on the surface. The pitcher is immaculately clean, inside and out. The glaze is nice and shiny. A true beauty!
