Purple and White with a guardian angel watching over the children crossing a dangerous plank bridge. The transfer is so beautiful. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is some minor crazing on the pitcher. This is a larger set. The bowl measures 16 inches diameter and stands 4.5 inches. The pitcher measures 9 x 9 x 12 inches. Antique Victorian Huge English Wash Bowl Water Pitcher Aesthetic Blue Transferware HARVEST by Della Robbia Lovely and large water pitcher made by a not so well known North Staffordshire potter called Della Robbia Co. They were only in existence from 1894 until 1901. Located in Birkenhead. The pattern name"HARVEST" is printed on the bottom of the pitcher. The center swatch is indeed that of some workers in the field with flowers and stems projecting through it and around it. On the back side of the pitcher, the scene is repeated but in a smaller size. Between the two scenes there is a small sprig of flowers and leaves. This pitcher has a segmented melon shaped body. Scalloped top and rope handle. The pitcher measures 11-1/2" tall and about 8" wide(across the widest part of the body) This is the size you would find with ... morea wash basin bowl! Would look so nice in a cottage decor or at a bed and breakfast. The pitcher is in excellent condition! If I didn't know its age and only looked at its condition. I would think it was nearly new! There are no chips or cracks or crazing. The only very minor thing I see are some light grayish marks along the rope handle which appear to have been done in manufacturing, perhaps thinner paint coverage. Also, a few craze lines on the bottom exterior of the pitcher and a few inside the pitcher, only on the surface. The pitcher is immaculately clean, inside and out. The glaze is nice and shiny. A true beauty!

England during the early to mid 1800s. The wash bowl and pitcher have large floral sprays with a printed geometric and floral background in brown transfer print. I do not know the exact name or manufacturer of this set, but it reminds of the patterns Minton produced in the early 1800s. Neither piece is marked. The bowl is scalloped and measures approximately 13" in diameter and stands about 4 1/2" tall. The pitcher stands approximately 10 5/8" tall and it has a nice sculpted handle with a squat paneled form. Item Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. Antique Whittaker & Co W & Co Red Transferware Hanley England Wash Basin Alton
For sale is an antique wash bowl/basin made by Whittaker& Co(W& Co) Hanley England. This company was only in business from 1886- 1892. So this rare survivor is well over 100 years old. The pattern name is Alton and I have not been able to find any other examples of this pattern which features an English cottage scene with ivy and ferns around it. This piece is decorated on the inside, outside and around the rim. This bowl is stamped W& Co hanley with the pattern name Alton in the center with a number 3 below. There is also an incised mark that says Ivory which denotes the ivory(cream) color of the bowl itself. There are no chips on this bowl. There is one crack that goes all the way through as shown in the last picture. There is also discoloration which you can see in the pictures. Nice little child's set consisting of pitcher. Bowl and matching slop jar or pail. Decoration is transferware or stenciled with nice bright colors of blue and orange(or rust) My guess would be that it was made in the 1920s but might be earlier. There are no maker's marks. The pitcher and the bowl are in perfect condition. The slop jar does have a small chip that as been filled in(white spot on the rim) The pitcher stands just over 4" tall, the bowl is 5 1/2" diameter X 1 3/4" tall, the slop jar is 3" tall. Antique Wash Basin and Pitcher Made by Sorosis Beautiful white ceramic with turquoise blue floral patterns on this wash bowl and pitcher combination. Absolutely lovely detail. Reminiscent of what one might have found in an old French or English palace. According to consignor this is from the 1920's. It is starting to be rare to find both the bowl and matching pitcher intact. Bottom of both items is branded"Sorosis" Some wear from age. COPELAND STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFERWARE POLYCHROME CHILD'S PITCHER & BOWL WASH SET
This is a beautiful wash basin and ewer in a hard to find child's size. Bottom of the bowl is marked COPELAND. Probably manufactured in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Primary color is black, with polychrome flowers and swirls of rose, green and gold. Condition is very good, bowl does have a light hairline from the rim into the bowl about 1 1/2" and the is a small chip on the rim of the bowl. There are some small scratches or nicks in the black finish on both pieces. Bowl is about 10" diameter X 4" high. Pitcher is about 9" tall. Offering a magnificent Victorian transferware water pitcher in deep blue and white with a crisp floral day lily pattern in excellent used condition for its age. This fabulous pitcher measures 11" high and about 10.5" from handle to lip. It is quite impressive as a statement piece in your blue-white pottery collection. And works just as well for holding large flower arrangements- think sunflowers. Gladiolas or peonies! It has no cracks or chips, but does have a spot on the rim where it looks like the glaze has been rubbed off, there is crazing overall as well as minor flaws typical of pottery and china made in this era and some staining under the glaze inside the pitcher and on the lip.
