Johnson Brothers England Royal Ironstone Embossed Pitcher in a very Rare color. This pitcher is a faint faint blue, almost like an eggshell white tone. Its in near mint condition beautiful detail, even the bottom is almost perfect with minimal scuffing. Please look at the pictures. White China Ironstone Child Dishes Washbowl Pitcher Set /Salesman Sample (?)
It is amazing that this miniature washbowl and pitcher have survived as children usually played so rough with them. This pitcher has great detailing with a lovely twisted handle and beading radiating down from the lip. The bowl has the same beading along the rim. The pitcher is 4" tall and the bowl is 4 1/4" in diameter. They were originally decorated in a gold and brown/ tan paint. There are remnants of the paint on both items. You could remove the paint with paint remover if you wanted them solid white. There are no markings on the pieces so I am not sure of the age. The china or ironstone is fairly crudely made as is typical in dishes made for children. The inside of the bowl has a circular line and an open fissure but it still rings when pinged.

This is a wonderful English White Ironstone Pitcher- it is either a large creamer or a small milk pitcher. Made by Cockson& Chetwynd in Cobridge. England between 1867 and 1875. Fully marked on the base in brown transfer. Size: 5 3/8" tall. 5 3/8" from handle to spout. Design is a bulbous curvy shape for the body. With a nautical motif on the handle- ropes and hooks. Condition: EXCELLENT. with no chips or cracks. The base ring has a divot which I believe was from the potting process. Not a chip afterwards. please see my photos) Such a charmer. This is Wm. Brunt whose Family Association made pottery from 1847 to 1902. The mark is an Eagle or Phoenix which is a trademark that they used on their Ironstone China. The pitcher is about 12 inches tall and the bowl measures about 14 1/2 inches in diameter at the top. Both pitcher and bowl are in good used condition I have pictured the flaws please see pictures also handle feels like it may be cracked in center but still in tack. There is an embossed flower on the top of the pitcher handle. There is some light crazing that is normal for pottery of this age.

Royal Ironstone China Warranted Pitcher Mottled Two Tone Beige & Off White 13”
I got this in a second hand store so I don’t know its story. As in its age or origin. I’m not an expert on these, so did a little internet research and learned that this is a turn-of-the century American made item(not from England but mimicking English Staffordshire pieces) Please contact me before bidding if you have concerns or questions. Thanks for looking! Photos taken both with and without a flash because its colors look much different in the different lightings. I would call it“warm beige” and“cream. The colors are mottled and unevenly applied with a sort of“robin egg” effect. The lower quarter is much lighter than the top. Its surface is smooth and very shiny. Pretty! There is no basin. Just the pitcher. It’s large at just under 13” high by about 7” in diameter at the widest point. The base measures about 5” in diameter. You can see ... morea seam down the center in front and back. The base it stamped“Royal Ironstone China Warranted” with an emblem showing a lion and a unicorn on each side of an oval shield with a crown on top of the shield. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE It’s in very good vintage condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. There’s crazing throughout that is so faint that I didn’t see it until I looked under a 5x magnifier. I tried to get the crazing to show in the photos but had no luck. It’s clean inside and out. I see manufacturing anomalies and age related patina, but no damage except the crazing. If there is any other damage then it is so minor that it eluded my inspection. Please see all photos. Welcome. Downsizing my collection. Just love this vintage Victorian large ironstone china pitcher. Bulbous shape. Excellent condition. Clean without cracks, chips, hairlines or crazing. Approximate measure is 11" high to spout, 11 3/4" high at highest point of the handle, and approx. 10" wide at widest point. Lovely acanthus style raised scrolls scalloping and georgeous gold touches on both sides, handle& rim. Gold is in fantastic shape. Makers mark on bottom stamped Etroria Mellor& Co. circa possibly 1900- 1940. possibly English china. Very clean& pretty. Perfect for your cottage room! Other items shown are Not included. Thanks.

Vintage White Ironstone China pitcher by W. & E. Corn, Burslem c.1864-1891
Vintage white pitcher with embossed grapes& grape leaves. Grape leaf and grapes adorn the handle as well. Approx 13" tall and 24" in diameter at its widest point. The trademark on this piece is from 1864-1891 time period. No crazing. Chips or cracks noted, minor imperfections original to the piece. Condition is very good for something this old. The W&E Corn Earthenworks was by William and Edward Corn from 1850 when they took over from their father Edward upon his retirement in 1850. The brothers continued to manufacture pottery at their Burslem pottery works until 1890 when they moved into larger facilities at Top Bridge Works. Longport.

~ Vintage White Ironstone China Pitcher ~ by H. Burgess, Burslem 1800's~Antique
This is a beautiful ironstone white pitcher made by H. Burgess. Research says that it was produced in Burslem. England toward the end of the 1800's. It has a knotted rope design on the handle and down the sides. It is 9 1/2 in. tall and about 9 in. wide including the handle. There are no cracks in this pitcher. A bit of the glaze has come off the very end of the spout which I have shown in the picture. It is in great condition. All items come from a smoke free home. I have tried to describe them accurately but if I have not and you are not satisfied I do allow returns with the return shipping paid by the buyer. Vintage White Ironstone China bowl and pitcher by Mellor, Taylor & Co England
I have saved the best for last. Beautiful Matching Vintage White Ironstone China Bowl and Pitcher. It is probably 100 years old and is in wonderful shape except for some very light crazing on the bowl-the pitcher has no crazing. The detail on the handle and all over the pitcher is wonderful. The floral portion of the pattern appears to be bleeding heart. This is a very large pitcher at almost 13 inches tall and about 7 x 8 inches on the bottom. The logo on the bottom says Warranted Stone China. Mellor, Taylor& Co. England. The matching bowl is 15 inches in diameter x 5 inches high and has the same logo as the pitcher. The bowl has the same pattern on the inside and is smooth on the outside.

Antique Transfer print ironstone pitcher, White Lilies, National China Co, USA
This is an ironstone china pitcher that I purchased from an estate. It is very heavy vitreous china. No cracks chips or crazing. A few rub marks on the transfer print. It is White lilies with green leaves and a touch of pink in behind the design. Very pretty. There is kiln fired orange luster that bubbled a little on top of the handle, but doesn't hurt the overall look. I am a china painter and I work in lusters and overglaze colors) It is 6' H X 7 1/2" spout to handle. This piece is a very nice old example that was made in the USA. The back has a circle with National China Co and an eagle in the center sitting on a stack of books. Part of the design is worn off but I can make out Western Gem and the initials ELD only because I saw it on the back of another ebay item. Antique Vintage White Ironstone Pitcher & Bowl Set Stone China JW Pankhurst & Co
Up for auction is a vintage antique English made stone china J. W. Pankhurst& Co. white ironstone pitcher and bowl set recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. They were in use before sinks and indoor plumbing was common. People would do daily washing in such pieces. This set is found in good used condition. The only real condition issue to discuss is a small hairline near the base of the pitcher, best seen in photo#6. There are three marks on the edge of the bowl, where it was set in a kiln, often found on such pieces. An example of this mark is best seen in photo#7. Both pitcher and bowl are marked. This set has a nice, but subtle decorated handle. Please see photo#11 for details. The bowl has an approximate diameter of 14" in size, while the base of the pitcher has an approximate diameter of 4 3/4" ... moreand is approximately 12" tall. I am selling a white pitcher and bowl that is marked Ironstone China Warrented. I believe it was made by Burgess mainly because the logos are primarily the same. The crown. The lion and the unicorn. The pitcher is in excellent condition. It stands 12.5 inches tall with an opening of 6 inches. It has an irnate design around the back and handle. The bowl has one chip on the underside of the rim as you can see. Also there are a few of age discoloration a here and there on the bo. The bowl diameter is 13.5 inches approximately.
