There is a banner above the flags that reads, "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, MAY THEY EVER BE UNITED VIVE L'EMPEREUR." This transfer was done to commemorate the hoped union between France and England post Crimean War. The pitcher has a second black transfer on the other side made to commemorate the building of the Iron Bridge in Sunderland. This dates to the beginning of the 19th Century.

Rare Museum Quality Boch Freres Keramis Agateware Luster Pitcher or Ring Jug
Offered for sale is a beautiful and rare stoneware. Agate ware and luster pitcher or ringkanne by the Boch Freres factory in La Louviere, Belgium. This product was produced only between 1844 and 1870. Also called Gres de la manufacture Keramis or gres metallique. The piece stands an impressive 14 inches(35 cm) tall. It features an agate ware body with branch handle. There are applied leaves in luster and a terra-cotta figure of a boy sitting inside. Quite charming! It is hallmarked underneath with the Keramis mark of Medaille d'Or and an incised"W" mark. These pieces are exceedingly rare and relate to the aesthetic movement in Europe in the mid-19th century. Large antique Sunderland luster jug pitcher sailing ship, motto and iron bridge
The luster is bright on this beautiful large jug. There is a sailing ship on one side. A motto on the other, and a transfer of the iron bridge in the front. It has a couple of condition issues: The spout looks like it has broken off and been reattached, possibly filling in a little where small pieces were lost. There are also 4 cracks in the bottom that go through to the inside. There is a 3/4" crack in the glaze near the inside lip which does not go through to the outside. The handle looks fine. The pitcher measures 7-1/2" tall and 9" from spout to outside of handle.

Up for auction here is a fine large antique circa 1840's English Staffordshire copper luster pedestal footed jug pitcher with yellow- orange banding that have hand painted copper leaves and flowers. The rim has molded beading and the handle a bit of scrolling flare. Overall exceptional condition for age- one small loss to glaze at edge of lip of spout and light wear to some areas of hand painted decoration of the flowers and leaves in the larger yellow band- otherwise no chips. This auction is for a antique pitcher. It is a warm copper lustreware glaze with a band of cobalt blue. The band has two applied roses and a cherub. Probably British Ca.1850's. The pitcher. Measures 4-3/4" tall 3-1/2" diameter at blue band. The glaze has a rough oval on one side and the spout has a couple of dull spots. I am not sure if these are repairs.
