Maker's mark o n the bottom: Royal ... moreIronstone China J.H.M. White porcelain china with black maker's mark on the bottom. Measures 6 1/8" wide from the spout to the opposite side by 5 1/8" from handle to opposite side by 2 3/8" tall. Base rim is 2 1/4" diameter. Cup opening at the top has a scalloped edging and inside 5 strainer holes that lead out to the spout for pouring and feeding into person's mouth. Plain white porcelain without any decorations or colorations. Condition is as you see in the photos. The while porcelain china has crackle which is typical with old age. NOTE: at the spout tip there are a few tiny nips on the end. I tried to photograph but it was difficult because so small and underneath. There is also a hairline inside the cup bowl at top that does not extend to outside so it may be original to when the feeder cup was made. A few knot imperfections also from time it was made. Small marks. Rub and scuff on base rim. Feeder cup is not dated. However, you can tell by the maker's mark, crackle, and aging that it is old. I am estimating circa 1900 and could be a bit earlier like late 1800's I just can't be sure. It is pre-owned, old and was used so buyer will be someone who understands current condition and is ok with it. Item is being sold“as is” as was found. This vintage Tepco stoneware pitcher(ca.1920-1935) measures approximately 6 3/8" tall. 7" wide from spout to handle, with an opening diameter of 4 1/4" It's in excellent condition with no cracks or other damage, and is white and clean. It has a smooth shiny glaze. There are a few tiny dimples which are just from firing and are typical of it's age and material. Please note we have put the word"ironstone" in the description, but are not sure if it's technically ironstone or a similar stoneware. The only blemish is a few slight chips on the footing of the bowl(where it would be set, see photo) On the pitcher there is a small mark of red. VINTAGE IRONSTONE WASH BOWL BASIN AND PITCHER WASH BOWL IS ABOUT 11" IN DIAMETER AND 3" HIGH THE PITCHER IS ABOUT 8.25" TALL TO THE TOP OF THE HANDLE AND ABOUT 6.5" FROM HANDLE TO SPOUT. There is a hairline crack in the bowl. I took a picture of it inside and out. see the last two pictures. There is a black"cinder" from firing on the handle of the pitcher. There is a factory flaw on the spout that is under the color and glaze. I took pictures of these issues also. There are no chips. Excellent Vintage Ironstone USA Cobalt Blue Floral Transfer Wash Bowl & Pitcher
This is an excellent matching set including a wash pitcher and bowl with rich cobalt blue around the edge and bottom of the bowl and around the top. Bottom, and sides of the pitcher, and blue floral transferred images on the front and back of the pitcher. Both have ornate beaded floral details molded into the edges. They are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, but there might be very light, faint crazing in spots and there is one tiny speck of glaze missing from the edge of the bowl(last photo) The pitcher measures 12" H x 9" from handle to spout, and the bowl measures 15 1/2" in diameter x 4 1/4" H. They will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

This auction is for a Vintage White Ironstone Pitcher. Embossed on the bottom is USA. It measures approximately 5 1/4" tall at the handle and 5" tall at the spout. The bottom has a ring of iron( see photo) They do not glaze this bottom edge and this is very common it is not seen when the pitcher is upright. This is an ironstone china pitcher that I purchased from an estate. It is very heavy vitreous china. No cracks chips or crazing. A few rub marks on the transfer print. It is White lilies with green leaves and a touch of pink in behind the design. Very pretty. There is kiln fired orange luster that bubbled a little on top of the handle, but doesn't hurt the overall look. I am a china painter and I work in lusters and overglaze colors) It is 6' H X 7 1/2" spout to handle. This piece is a very nice old example that was made in the USA. The back has a circle with National China Co and an eagle in the center sitting on a stack of books. Part of the design is worn off but I can make out Western Gem and the initials ELD only because I saw it on the back of another ebay item.
