EMPIRE POTTERY June Roses 7.5" PITCHER 1892 IRONSTONE Hand Painted over Transfer
EMPIRE POTTERY June Roses 7.5" PITCHER 1892 IRONSTONE Hand Painted over Transfer Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge From our smoke-free home we have: A beautiful EMPIRE POTTERY Ironstone PITCHER June Roses pattern, Decorative handle. Circa 1892 from Trenton. New Jersey The history dates to 1863 when the pottery was founded by Coxon& Thompson. One of the earliest marks used by the firm was the British Coat of Arms. Which was placed on all their general ware. About 1892 a wreath enclosing the monogram T. P. Co. was used(Trenton Potteries Co. In 1892, the Trenton Potteries Co. was organized by the consolidation of five sanitary ware establishments: Crescent, Delaware, ... moreEmpire, Enterprise and Equitable. Later Ideal Pottery was included. The mark used by the consolidated company is a star. The numeral in the star indicates the plant where the ware was produced. The mark on this pitcher indicates production in 1892 based on information from http:www.trentonhistory.org/Made/Marks.html. While this pitcher is classified as used. We can find no chips. Nicks, rubbings, scratches, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. There is minor wear to the gold on the top rim, spout and on the handle. This wear is certainly age-appropriate and does not distract from the beauty of the pitcher. Please carefully inspect the photos to see how good the condition of this one is. There appears to be absolutely no wear to the transfer or the hand coloring. There is only very minor fine crazing and there is none of the usual browning under the crazing. This is really a striking pitcher that is very well preserved for its age. NOTE: The black spots on the outside of the pitcher that are visible in the photos were black paint and have all been removed without damage to the pitcher. The pitcher is 7" from handle to spout and has a maximum diameter of 5 1/8" It is 7 1/2&qu

Circa 1840’s English ironstone transfer ware pitcher w/shells, seaweed, & coral
Circa 1840’s fabulous English ironstone transfer ware pitcher w/shells. Seaweed, coral This is a very fine early 19 th century English ironstone pitcher. It is dated to the 1840’s by the shape of the pitcher and the handle. It is not signed by the manufacturer but has some impressed marks: the number“3” and what looks like a chair or it could be a lower case“h” or“b” and a faint mark that could have been the manufacturer’s mark but it is too faint to discern. It measures 5” tall and 5” wide. The transfer decoration is ocean-themed: an arrangement of shells and seaweed on the body and a garland of coral around the inside and outside of the lip and on the handle. Condition: Other than typical wear to the finish from use. There are no chips or cracks. Please look over my photographs carefully for the best idea of condition– and email me with ... moreany questions or if you need more photos. My return policy is: Returns only accepted if I have misrepresented the item in my description. Buyer pays return postage. My shipping cost is estimated. If I overcharge by $1 or more. VINTAGE ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA PITCHER*8"*Blue Transfer Roses*Glazed Inside & Out
This is a VINTAGE ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA PITCHER. It's about 8" high with blue transfer rose patterns on each side. The transfer on one side is placed lower than the other and has a bit of fading in the center. The pitcher is glazed all over-inside and out. It is also crazed all over. There is one"X" mark that I scanned-it seems to be only in the glaze. Not through to the inside. The handle seems solid and seems to be applied separately. There's a faint seam down the front the back. It's scalloped around the top with a raised pattern along the sides of the top edge. The small mark on the bottom is blue and under the glaze. It's an oval emblem with a crown on top and a lion on one side and a unicorn on the other. Above it reads"Royal Ironstone China" and below, warranted" Add this lovely piece to ... moreyour collection or your décor. Shipping is 13.50 in the U.S. Thanks for looking.

Antique Transfer print ironstone pitcher, White Lilies, National China Co, USA
This is an ironstone china pitcher that I purchased from an estate. It is very heavy vitreous china. No cracks chips or crazing. A few rub marks on the transfer print. It is White lilies with green leaves and a touch of pink in behind the design. Very pretty. There is kiln fired orange luster that bubbled a little on top of the handle, but doesn't hurt the overall look. I am a china painter and I work in lusters and overglaze colors) It is 6' H X 7 1/2" spout to handle. This piece is a very nice old example that was made in the USA. The back has a circle with National China Co and an eagle in the center sitting on a stack of books. Part of the design is worn off but I can make out Western Gem and the initials ELD only because I saw it on the back of another ebay item. This company operated in Ohio from 1899-1910 under that name. ... moreThanks for looking and God Bless You.
