Beautiful antique pitcher and wash basin. Pitcher and wash basin are New Hall Hanley from Staffordshire. England. Each piece is stamped. The Pitcher has the stamp and number 923. Pitcher is in excellent condition except for a chip on the very bottom. Not noticeable. Wash basin is excellent! Pitcher is 11 1/2 inches tall by 10 inches from spout to edge of handle. This is a very large antique Johnson Brothers Ironstone/Semi Porcelain Washbasin and Pitcher. The bowl measures 17 1/4 across and 4 1/2 inches high. The pitcher measures 9 inches across and 11 1/2 inches high. The tag on the bottom(as purchased) says circa 1890-1915. It is in very good antique condition with no cracks or chips on the pitcher and mild crazing consistent with age. The washbasin has no cracks but a tiny flea bite on the underside which is not visible from above. There are some scratches on the bottom of the bowl where the pitcher sits but again consistent with age. Considering this is around 100 years old it is in very good condition. You are viewing an England Ironstone Water Pitcher and Wash Basin. The pitcher is 11/2 inches tall at the tallest point and has a very decorative and elegant handle. The wash basin is approximately 15 1/2 inches in diameter. The wash basin does have some crackling in the glaze. Most of which is not visible except for a couple lines 3 inches or so in length. There is a line on the bottom that is noticeable. It runs about 4 inches long. By arthur wood ironstone england"safe harbour" the pitcher feels like heavy porcelain but could be ironstone! measurement is 11" to the top of the handle. width is about 12 inches. there is crazing thruout. there is a hairline on the bottom part of the lip that measures about 1/2" it does not go thru to the top part of the lip.picture for some reason does not show it, i tried) there are no other chips, cracks or problems. this is truly a spectacular pitcher. thanks for viewing.

For sale is an antique wash bowl/basin made by Whittaker& Co(W& Co) Hanley England. This company was only in business from 1886- 1892. So this rare survivor is well over 100 years old. The pattern name is Alton and I have not been able to find any other examples of this pattern which features an English cottage scene with ivy and ferns around it. This piece is decorated on the inside, outside and around the rim. This bowl is stamped W& Co hanley with the pattern name Alton in the center with a number 3 below. There is also an incised mark that says Ivory which denotes the ivory(cream) color of the bowl itself. There are no chips on this bowl. There is one crack that goes all the way through as shown in the last picture. There is also discoloration which you can see in the pictures. For your bidding consideration: Antique Bisto(Bishop& Stonier) England Victorian Wash Water Pitcher- Rose Floral This wonderful old Victorian pitcher. Made by Bisto(Bishop& Stonier) England, is in nice shape except for some cracks at the bottom, which have been repaired. Some are hairline, but a couple are through and through. The pitcher seems quite secure from further breakage, as the repair was adequately done, but there is a pinkish coloration around the cracks from the material that was used. This is fortunately at the base and also inside, where it is less noticeable. The pitcher is not water-tight, so could not be used to contain fresh flowers, unless a more efficient repair is done, or a separate liner is used, but would be fine for displaying dried arrangements. There are some scuff marks on the base where the pitcher sat ... moreon a hard surface, but overall, this pitcher is in good antique condition, and still has vibrant colors and a nice glaze. Pieces from Bishop& Stonier, a porcelain manufacturer from Staffordshire, England, generally date from the late 1800s to the turn of the century. The maker's mark and antique'old marks' are on the bottom. And the photos also show where the pitcher has been cracked and a repair done. I believe that some white enamel could be brushed on that would cover the pinkish stain, but a re-repair would be necessary for the pitcher to hold water on its own without dripping. This is a very striking looking large pitcher. Made from a heavy porcelain or ironstone, and is fairly heavy, weighing close to 4 Lbs without packaging. The pitcher measures 9 1/2" tall, 8" wide across the base, 9 1'2" from the end of the handle to end of pouring spout, and the top opening is 7" wide. There is no bowl.this auction is for the pitcher only. For auction from a local midwestern estate is an antique wash stand bowl and pitcher set original to the era in which these items were used. The pitcher is 11 1/4 inches tall and 9 inches wide and weighs 3 lbs. 7 1/4 ounces. The pitcher is not signed or marked. Is molded and during the firing process in the kiln acquired a few small silt bumps. The dark pinkish is still vibrant but has a spot on the rim of the pitcher where the paint has worn away as noted in the pictures. Note the remarks above re the one inch by one inch surface scratch. The pitcher is simple in design, but elegant and beautiful. The bowl to this set is marked on the bottom and signed Parisian Stone China, Smith Ford& Jones, Burslem England, has nice age crazing, and ivory white with deep pinkish to maroon color appliqués of an English garden. The rim of the bottom ... moreof the bowl has nice age wear. There is a nice raised or 3-D dental molding along the top edge of the bowl on the outside coupled with leaf raised molding around the bottom of the bowl above the rim. There is a 4 cm indent in the china along the rim which is either a kiln occurrence or actual chip. If I had to guess, I would say it happened during firing of the glaze, BUT I AM NO EXPERT in pottery and can only describe to you what I see. The bowl measures 15 inches in circumfrence from rim to rim, and 5 1/2 inches from top of the bowl to bottom of the rim making the bowl depth 5 inches. Weight of the bowl is 5 lbs. 5 1/2 ounces. This is a nice set of a wash basin and water pitcher from a nostalgic time most likely, because the wear on the set is minor, used for the guest room for visitors. This one is a dandy for collectors. W. E. Corn Ironstone Pitcher Seashore Pattern circa 1890's Description: Up for auction is a large Antique White Ironstone Wash Pitcher in the beautiful Seashore Pattern. This stunning Pitcher was made by W. E. Corn. Burslem England in the late 1800's(reference Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks. Geoffrey A. Godden) The unusual handle is in the shape of a sea serpent. Both sides of the Pitcher are decorated with gorgeous'bouquets' of seashells and coral in detailed relief. Antique H& K Tunstall Wash Basin& Pitcher This is an EXQUISITE antique wash basin& pitcher made by H& K Tunstall in England in the very early 1900's. During the Art Deco period. It is hand painted pottery with rich blue as the sky and warm brown sands draping the bottom. The inside rims of both the pitcher and the basin are lined with a beautiful green. The same colorful designs wrap around each of the pieces, showing Arabians riding camels through the desert. Both pieces are very large and heavy/thick pottery- Basin/Bowl measures 16" in diameter x 5.5"h The Pitcher measures a tall 13"h x 10"w(at widest part) Please Note Conditions: The Basin is in Good condition with only a small chip that has been repaired near the rim. Antique S F& Co Crown Devon Ware Pitcher& Wash Basin This is a gorgeous antique S Fieldings& Co Stoke on Trent Pitcher& Wash Basin/Bowl made in England. They are both Earthenware pieces hand painted with a floral design and gold gild. The basin bears the mark"Crown Devon(Devon" rubbed off) S F& Co Stoke on Trent England" with a crown stamp and"Rono524189" Since it's using the word"Crown" in it's maker mark still. This piece was made sometime between 1913-1917. The basin also has 2 impressed numbers, one looks like"RD634194" and the other I am unable to make out. S F& Co dropped the word"Crown" on their marks in 1917, so the pitcher was made sometime between 1917 and 1930, I believe closer to 1917 since it's a similar floral pattern being used in both ... morepieces. The mark on the Pitcher bears"Devon Ware Fieldings Stoke on Trent England" with a Crown stamp as well. Both pieces are large and heavy. It also has 3 chips on the bottom rim. The Pitcher has 1 small chip on the top rim. Both pieces have loss to the gold gilding. Both the basin and the pitcher both had writing in marker on the bottom. Probably for if they were lost in travel, someone would know who to return them to. I was able to scrub off the personal number that looked to be on both pieces, but left the phone# name and what looks to be an item# there are some smudge marks from trying to remove) Please see photos for details and a closer look. Condition A couple of brown spots near spout inside of the pitcher. No chips or cracks. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description. This beautiful basin made in 1890 in England. By"Ironstone" is in very good condition, the paint is nice and not chipped. It is a charming cream color, trimmed in beige/tan and has a colorful floral design. Please see pictures as it has a minor flaw. Its a crack/scratch, its hard to tell its close to top of the pitcher and you see can see it but its not deep( doesn't go through to other side or anything) could be fine crack or a deep scratch.A minor flaw does not dismiss the elegance of this pitcher, it is a beautiful piece of art work. You can also see some greyish paint spots in the bowl. It is inside the bowl and painted in, it is under the glaze. This pitcher& basin are large measuring at 16" across basin. Antique S F& Co Crown Wash Basin Bowl This is a beautiful antique S Fieldings& Co Stoke on Trent Basin/Bowl made in England. It is Earthenware porcelain hand painted with a floral design and gold gild. The basin bears the mark"Crown Devon(Devon" rubbed off) S F& Co Stoke on Trent England" with a crown stamp and"Rono524189" Since it's using the word"Crown" in it's maker mark still. This piece was made sometime between 1913-1917. The basin also has 2 impressed numbers, one looks like"RD634194" and the other I am unable to make out. Sculptured Antique Replica of Ironstone England 1890 Pitcher and Wash bowl-VGC
For your consideration this replica of the English Ironstone 1890 washbowl and pitcher with an orange over white pattern. The sculptures in the pitcher represent querubs and muses. Very nicely done. The bowl is 13 1/8" in diameter and 3 1/2" deep. It has an uunnoticealbe chip on the rim(see last picture) that can be easily repaired. Otherwise the set is in very good condition. The pitcher is 10 1/2" tall by 10" wide at the top and 6 3/4" in the middle.

This is a lovely antique Bridgewood wash basin and pitcher. It is from the late 1880-1899. The colors and patterns on the pitcher and wash basin is lovely. This is from the late 1880's. The wash basin is a little discolored on the inside from many years of use. Still is a very nice set. Please see all the photo's. This is a very large pitcher and wash basin. DESCRIPTION: Very nice. Elegant, Victorian era bowl and pitcher. They are from two different manufacturers, but the same or similar patterns. I do not know the pattern name or date of manufacture. The bowl is made by Maddocks, Lamberton. MEASUREMENTS: The bowl is 4.5" high and 16.5" diameter. The pitcher is 13.5" high and about 9" wide at the handle. CONDITION:The pitcher is in near perfect condition. There are two tiny openings top of the pitcher. In the spout(picture) not a chip, but an opening(like chapped lips) from the time of manufacture. The bowl has a raised piece of pottery along the top edge. Again this is from the time of manufacture. There is a discoloration near the bottom inside of the bowl, which you can not feel with your finger, and the glaze is fully intact. This wash bowl set. Manufactured in England approximately 1856, is brown and white with hints of rose and gold with an eagle motif. I apologize that the mark on the bottom is blurry- it says: Dessin 5968 Depose BWM&C Woodpecker R111657 It is not chipped or cracked.
