This is a delightful size. Just 5-1/2' high. A fine looking small size antique cream pitcher with high relief decoration of two figures. A mother and child on one side of the pitcher. This charming pattern of the molded figures of the mother and child is often found in a larger size, typically 8" high or larger. Unusual to find this delightful small size cream pitcher. The lustre is still bright and beautiful. A deep coppery coloring and quite reflective so it is difficult to see the relief work. Holding it in your own hands you can both see and feel the lovely molded designs and painted leaf decoration to the jug. There is also polychrome decoration on the mothers dress and the child clothing. The entire pitcher in fact has a relieft molded design of a tree. Even the handle is fashioned to appear like gnarled wood. The interior is copper lustre. This is circa 1880's. A Staffordshire England lustreware pitcher and shows good expected wear to the base and along the handle and spout rim. Still a Beauty! This auction is for a vintage English copper luster ceramic pitcher. It is unmarked. But these pieces were made in England. The piece is solidly decorated in copper, including the top of the interior. Inside are crazing marks in the bottom, indicating its age. The pitchers has one old chips at the spout. This is a beautiful English copper luster creamer/ pitcher! Circa 1890-1900. It is in excellent condition! Looks almost new but it's over 100 years old! Notice the FACE in the spout of the pitcher! It it 3.5 in. tall and 4 inches wide from end of spout to the edge of the handle. 2 inches diameter at opening. It has a blue band with beautiful raised pink and yellow flowers. I'm not sure of the maker.no mark.there is a black swirl type glaze mark inside bottom. I don't know if it means anything. Measures.3 1/4" tall.opening is 2" spout to handle end is 4" Great shape for its age and use! A few very minor surface scratches.doesn't affect piece in any way. A couple of"minor" spots that didn't get glazed.again.no affect. One"minor" chip or chipped glaze to the left of spout in pic.3 on the lower beaded band. Not deep by any means: Can't be noticed easily:matches color of copper w/out of flash. Pic.4 is a glare spot on handle. Bottom(pic.7.shows what looks like a tiny chip on the rim.top)but it's from when it was made. Inside ... moreon spout has a"couple" tiny air bubble glaze pops. Antique Copper Luster Pitcher This is a medium sized copper luster pitcher. Probably early 1800's and decorated with blue overlaid on the copper luster finish. The main design is two children playing or sitting at a campfire with additional palm fronds and a scrolling handle. There is a rough copper spot on one side, see in photo, maybe a burn area in the original glazing? No other problems, no chips, cracks or repairs. The bottom is coppered and there are no markings.

A wonderful antique copper luster pitcher to add to a ceramic collection. The pitcher is a warm copper color with a beautiful robin's egg blue double band. The decorations are simple but striking. The pitcher measures 5" tall x 6.5" from spout to handle. And 2 3/4" at the base. The overall condition considering its age is good. It has been lovingly used as there is minor wear on the mouth of the pitcher as well as the handle. There is also a slight hair line crack inside the pitcher.
