Copper Lustreware Lot Pitcher, Bowl, Cup
Up for auction is a Cooper Lustreware Pitcher. Bowl, and cup. All have issues so check out the photos but selling as a lot and fairly inexpensive for something that's decorative anyway. Selling As Is. The Pitcher is 6.5" tall and approx. 5.5" at its widest point. Terracotta body. Chip on lip of spout. The Bowl is 5 5/8" across and approx. 1 1/4" deep. Ceramic body. Crack and staining. The Cup is 3 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" across at its widest point. The bottom was glued back on at some point in its life and that resulted in the 2 small holes seen in photo 10. WADE English Copper/Bronze Lustreware Cream Pitcher and Sugar set from estate
Made in England this WADE Copper Lusterware small cream and sugar set is priceless! It was bought at an estate sale so little is known about it. The pictures tell all. The Sugar bowl is 1 34/ tall and 2 3/4" in diameter at the top. The Creamer is almost 3" tall and 1 3/4" in diameter at the top. There is some natural scuffing in the glaze and wear at the top of each piece. The are no chips. There is thin line crack as seen in picture#3 from the top of the creamer edge down about 1" These are 2 adorable little sugar and creamers made by WADE of England in the Harvest pattern. The handle is cracked with fleabite chip and crack most seen on inside near where handle is attached, some rust in the bottom with some cracking seen on the bottom above the hallmark and crazing. Copper Lustreware is a glazed surface that has been painted with copper oxides and then refired at a low temperature to create the iridescent look. The flowers on this painted pitcher are yellow. Blue, green, pink. This pitcher is 6" tall. Spout is 4 1/2" across. It has a small chip at spout edge and a few places where paint has worn. Very nice condition considering its age. Fabulous Copper Lustreware Pitcher English 1830s-1840s Sky Blue Orange Green Presented is a fabulous copper lustreware pitcher made in England. This pitcher is decorated in a dazzling motif of brilliant copper colored lustre and a warm sky blue band. The blue band is decorated with a darling motif of a young boy and girl in the countryside. There is no mark. But the quality and craftsmanship are clearly English. We would date this to the 1830s-1840s. This pitcher is in fare condition. There is some very minor wear on the lustered portion. As would be expected, but there are also some chips to the rim, spout, and the design on one side. Also, the rim next to the handle has a short crack which is very difficult to see. Still, it is in very usable shape! This will make a great addition to your collection of copper lustreware! A lovely pair- each slightly different than the other. Base diameter is about 3.25" You should know: Ebay is not just a hobby for me.
