It reminds me of Worcester. But it could be Austria or Germany. In great condition, no chips or cracks, afew light rub marks on the ecru background that I believe would polish out(picture 10) Measures 13.25" tall. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made. Insurance and delivery confirmation will be added to the cost of shipping.

Featured here is a BEAUTIFUL ART NOUVEAU ERA FLATBACK JUG/EWER IN BLUSH IVORY PORCELAIN WITH HANDPAINTED AND GILDEDFLOWERS. IT IS HALLMARK/STAMP DATED 1888. The letter"Z" underneath the Worcester hallmark specifically dates it to 1888. This jug stands 7" tall and is in perfect condition. The gold wash handle shows areas of red reflecting from underneath but I am sure it was made in that manner because it is consistent at various areas of the handle that would not be worn from use. I truly believe this is the closest to mint condition that you can find anywhere. This came from an old Pennsylvania farmhouse and was in the china closet forever I was told. After military service. He rented a porcelain decorating workshop in the Faubourg Montjovis(Limoges) in 1836, doing export. About 1872 Guerin took over the porcelain workshop of Lebron& Cie. Then in 1877 he bought the porcelain factory that had been established by Jouhanneaud and Dubois in Rue du Petit-Tour(Limoges) And which had been bought in 1867 by the Utzschneider Company of Saurregemines and run by Leopold Dubois. This enlarged company produced a wide range of wares, selling a lot of whiteware and also continuing decoration. Guerin's sons William and Andre joined the company in 1903. In 1911 W. Guerin& Cie merged with the nearby Pouyat factory. Buying 3/4 of Pouyat; the new firm became Guerin& Cie. Possibly both company marks were continued. WWI greatly decreased output. Large Antique Hand Painted Ewer Pitcher Gold Edged Signed P.K. 1900 17" x 8"
This is a beautiful handpainted antique ewer or pitcher. It is large in size and stands 17" high and it is 8" wide. Weighing just under 4lbs. The only markings are a handpainted signiture on the lower"cupid" side which reads"P.K. 1900. I am unsure if that is a date, but going by appearance this vase could very well be that old. The handle and base are painted in gold paint and the edges of the scenes are done in a raised gold border. One side depicts a cupid on a chariot of doves, and the other side depicts a man ad women in fancy old-fashioned costumes. The rest of the vase is painted a sky blue. It is in good antique condition with subtle fading and slight paint loss throughout. Here is a Antique Victoria Carlsbad Austria brown stamped odd shaped Pitcher/ Ewer from the late 1800s to early 1900s. There are no chips. Cracks or crazing on it there are two seams on it each one has a small bump where it meets the base. The handle is a three pronged twig or root and is intact, there is a bell shaped opening under the rim and it is decorated with hand painted purple and yellow flowers. The ceramic hand painted body shows very little wear with about 3 light scuff marks from storage. The item is black with a white interior. The black base is decorated with gold design and has a hand painted scene on the front and the back- a sea scene with a boat. The ewer is in very good vintage condition with one exception- there was a small part of the picture on one side that fell off during firing- please see photos as there are excellent pictures of the entire piece. Artist signed ewer or bud vase in great condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. There is some light wear to the gold from age, handling and past display. Pretty pink roses and foliage are painted around the body of the ewer with the bottom and handle painted in gold gild. There is also gold accents on the spout. The only marks it has are"E. V. Joyner 1968" written on the bottom and"Eva Lee" signed on the body. I'm sure it's a one of a kind as I could find no information on an artist named Eva Lee Joyner. Up for auction or"Buy It Now" is a Marked and Signed"Roy" Weissman Company, Incorporated of East Palestine, Ohio and New York City, New York(Circa 1941 to Closed in 1957) Weisley China(WC) Brand, American Art Pottery, Hand Painted-Handcrafted, American Painted Porcelain" Small Porcelain Artware Ewer Pitcher which can best be Attributed as Being Manufactured and Decorated by the Dwight Morris China Company also of East Palestine, Ohio(1939 to 1982) in"Excellent" Used Condition and Made Between Circa 1941 to 1957. This little ewer has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind. It's only post factory issue is that some gold trim has worn away and picture 12 is a close up of the most worn area. This isn't uncommon to see when gold trim is applied either. It can be fired ... moreon or underglaze and it usually is when it's part of the main pattern, but many times it's a final production step and it's applied cold. It has real gold in it and ceramic decorators use 22, 23 or 24 karat gold. It's always been an acceptable practice of cold painting the gold trim as a last step so it shouldn't be considered poor quality work by potteries and decorating firms. Immersed washing and dusting with a heavy hand are two main ways wear happens and most consumers aren't aware that the gold trim areas need some special care. This piece is about 6 1/4 inches tall and about 3 1/8 inches at the most bulbous point near the bottom. The next biggest measurement is the from the outward pour lip across to the handle at about 2 3/4 inches and the top opening is an oval of about 5/8 inches by 3/4 inches across. Being true porcelain means this piece will be strong. But light weighing about 5 ounces. There's a beautiful hand painted floral pattern which I'm fairly sure is representative of the pansy flower. Based on the stamp, it appears this ewer/vase/pitcher was made between 1880 and 1900, but I was unable to totally validate this. It was purchased from an estate and the 70+ yr. owner said that it had been in her mother's family. Offered for your consideration is an antique Victorian floral motif hand painted flowers Ewer. This piece is simply amazing. It stands 17" tall. The base is 5" square and the porcelain is about 5" in diameter at the widest. The base and top of the ewer is a pot metal with a antique gold finish. It stands on a four footed base that has sweeping pierced curves- very ornate. The lovely porcelain is darker green at the top, fading to a light green then to a creamy white. The final color is a very pale pink. On this is hand painted pink edged flower with green stems and leaves. The top of the ewer is again very ornate with a long suspended handle. The under part of the spout has a lion's head and trailing flowers. There are no markings as to whom the maker was or where it was made. There are no chips, cracks or damage of any ... morekind. This item is about 6" tall and 6" wide. For it's age it is in great shape with very nice coloring and very detailed slip application work. Unusual Antique Hand Painted Landscape Scene Ewer or Pitcher, Early 1900's
This lovely pitcher. Also called a ewer, is unusual in that most ewers are painted floral where this one is an uncommon landscape or scenery. I had an informal appraisal done on it and was told that it's tied to the style that was done by Handel, Wavecrest or Bradley Hubbard and is possible it's one of their pieces. I couldn't find any signatures on it. The overall height is 13" Width 5" It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks or paint loss to the ceramic. The gold paint is worn on the ornate metal depicting vines and leaves which is not unusual at this age. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have. We ship only within the United States. Glass part is approximately 8 inches high by 5 inches in diameter at the widest part. Metal base is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter base does not sit exactly flat on table. Metal on top is approximately 6 inches across at the widest part and approximately 5 1/2 inches high. Overall height is approximately 17 inches. This item does not hold liquid there is a bolt running from top to bottom that holds the base and top to the globe in the middle. I am not a collector if you have any questions please email me.
