I"inherited" tubs full of miscellaneous items and this pretty water pitcher(along with some other really nice pieces) was in one of them. The pitcher measures almost 7 inches tall. Top opening is 4 3/4 inches wide. I'm not sure about the marking on the bottom but it appears to say"408" with some kind of marking underneath. see 2nd pic) The paint is chipped in a few places and it could use cleaned on the inside but it is in good overall condition. Maddock's Lamberton Royal Porcelain Beautiful Water Pitcher that I beleive once had a water basin. I believe it is from around 1890's from some of the research I have been doing. Base is a mintish green. Flowers are a muted brown and pink This beauty does show it's age a bit.gold gilt not all there around the top and on handle. Just a couple of crazing areas inside vessel. There is a crack at the top that is on the inside that has not made it's way to the outside of pitcher. Also a photo of a darker drip at bottom of handle.looks like maybe when made? not sure. This unusual plain white water pitcher or water jug was part of a set that belonged to my grandmother around 1915. I think she intended to paint it but lucky for us. She never did. On the bottom is the mark Favorite Bavaria. The pitcher is a little over 8 and 1/2 inches tall at the lip. There are no perceptible chips or marks.

beautiful antique porcelain water pitcher white and gold
This vintage pitcher would make a nice decorative piece. We are not sure of the manufacturer but believe it was made by Crown Porcelain Corp of Evansville. IN. We have not been able to positively identify the Maker Mark, so we haven't been able to date this piece. The glaze is crazed and there are chips(see images) but no major damage. Crown was in operation from1890's to around the late1950's or up to 1960, the makers mark is not representative of the later operations marks. So if this is definitely from Crown then the Makers Mark would most likely be a early one. The Crown design is the style used by their operations. We would appreciate anyone that can identify the Makers Mark and the approximate manufacture date, if they could furnish us with that information.
