There would have been a large bowl to hold the water for the washing of the face and hands. There might have been a soap dish. It was made by the Maddocks Lamberton Works out of Trenton. New Jersey. It was called Royal Porcelain. Based on the back stamp on the base. The Pitcher possibly would have been made between 1892 and 1924. Based on the nature of its usage, it was mostly on the earlier side. This pitcher is huge. At least as pitchers go. The approximate circumference of the body is 25 inches. Its tallest point is 11 inches at the spout. It weighs in at over 4 pounds. It is embellished with grey blue and white detailing. My guess is of a charming Dutch village and sailing vessels. Certainly it has slightly faded with time and use. But there are no surface type chips on the base. There is normal wear to the base. I have not cleaned the pitcher and it is dirty inside, but I have left that for

It reminds me of Worcester. But it could be Austria or Germany. In great condition, no chips or cracks, afew light rub marks on the ecru background that I believe would polish out(picture 10) Measures 13.25" tall. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made. Antique Nippon Royal Kinran Ewer Porcelain Magenta Roses Gold Bead Moriage
This beauty is priced to sell. A real find! For your consideration is this beautiful antique Nippon Royal Kinran Pitcher. The shape of this pitcher is quite unusual, I cannot find another listed anywhere close to this design. The pitcher has an all over magenta/ white floral design. I believe the flowers are roses, but I am not sure. The entire pitcher is covered in gold beading moriage surronding the flowers. The gold on the bottom edge(on the rim under the gold beading) of the pitcher is faded due to how old this piece is. At the sale where I acquired this piece, I was told the piece belonged to their grandparents, and is quite old. I do not have an exact age for this piece. The mark on the bottom is very light, however; the Royal Kinran name and Nippon, and Mark is still readable. The piece is free of chips or cracks. You are looking at a majestic and regal 19thcentury Bavarian Ewer/Vase with colors so bright they burn your eyes-I just got this item this afternoon at a Vermont/New England auction knowing it would sell well on EBAY-since Idon't collect this sort of thing myself. It is 9 inches tall and thebase flares to 8 inches which gives a definitive triangular look to the unique piece.Been selling these things for almost 50 years and never seen one quite like this.no markings on base but has the double ridges that most Bavarian pieces of this age have-hence my believing that it si Barvarian- The piece is spectacular in color.lots of gilt and roses.super really. EXQUISITE c1840-1860 GOTHIC ENGLISH SALT GLAZED PORCELAIN PITCHER/EWER Presented is a very fine English salt glazed porcelain pitcher. This piece dates to circa 1840-1860. The pitcher is very ornate and very Gothic in style. The exterior features figures of saints or clerics standing in arched alcoves. The top of the handle has two faces of stately bearded men. One facing in either direction. The whole piece is very reminiscent of a cathedral, and may even be modeled on the design a specific cathedral. The overall effect is as though a cathedral had been wrapped around the exterior of the pitcher. The interior of the piece is done in a high glaze, and is completely clean and useable. This piece is in near perfect condition. As one of the photos shows. There is a slight discoloration on one of the faces on the handle. This is not to be considered ... morea flaw, as this is original to the manufacture of the piece, a result of slight impurities reacting when fired in a kiln. This enlarged company produced a wide range of wares, selling a lot of whiteware and also continuing decoration. Guerin's sons William and Andre joined the company in 1903. In 1911 W. Guerin& Cie merged with the nearby Pouyat factory. Buying 3/4 of Pouyat; the new firm became Guerin& Cie. Possibly both company marks were continued. WWI greatly decreased output. Vintage, Dragon handle Porcelain Glazed Ewer Pitcher
Hand painted under glaze a floral design with two butterflies. In deep blue, dusty rose, light green. The dragon or Griffon is walnut brown with yellow ochre coloring. This ewer is marked with an incised number of 817 with 28 under it. And in black a# 1622? the 16,the third# I think is 2(see pictures} something illegible below that that is like a couple letters and a gold curved line(see pic 9) This is in good c ondition no cracks or crazing there are a few chips around th e spout and the cold tri m is worn off around spout. Hello everyone, For your consideration is this gorgeous Victoria Carlsbad porcelain ewer. Our research indicates this was made around 1899. The company was founded in 1883 by Lazarus and Rosenfeld. Ltd. In 1885, the company was sold to Frantz Schmidt. This is a fantastic piece of Austrain porcelain. It has a delicate gold gilding and the side has a illustration of a young couple. The bottom is clearly marked but has a second mark that is blurred. It may contain the numbers 90 which may be associated with the date or edition number. This is a beautiful piece of porcelain and great addition to your collection or home decor. It's about 8 3/4 inches high. 2 3/8 inches wide at the base, shipping weight is 14 ounces. Type a title for your page here) Beautiful and elegant! This can only describe this Richard Klemm Dresden. Germany Porcelain floral pitcher/ewer, circa 1900. Up for bidding is a Pitcher/Ewer that measures approximately 14 inches from the top of the handle to the bottom and is approximately 8 inches wide. It is white and a creamy yellow with multicolor floral. Vines, and butterfly decorations. There is a dimensional grouping on the front of three porcelain flowers, one edged in blue, one in pink, and one in lavender. Also, there are two pink buds and leaves. The pitcher has stunning gold highlights and detail throughout, as well as along the rim, handle and bottom. The marking on the bottom is in gold- it is a crown with"RK" underneath and Dresden Germany- please refer to the photograph. There are a few condition issues which I have ... moretried to document in the photographs. All are on the grouping of flowers on the front of the pitcher. There are a couple of chips on the blue flower. A two small chips on the pink flower, and a piece of a leaf missing. There are no cracks, crazing or visable signs of wear. Information on Richard Klemm: He founded a porcelain decorating studio in Striesen. Germany in 1869. The decorating style of Richard Klemm closely matched that of the Meissen factories at that time. He often used a heavily applied style that focused on florals. In many instances, the porcelain pieces of Richard Klemm are emblazoned with a gold leaf at the base. Here we have a beautiful Antique Royal Vienna Ewer Vase. This is a portrait Vase that is signed on the side of the portrait by the artist T. Muller. The vase is hand painted and has a wonderful Burgandy luster with heavy gold trim. Marked on the bottom with the underglaze blue beehive mark. The vase measures 7 1/4" tall by 3 3/4" across. There is a crack to one side of the spout at the top. It has to be looked to be seen on the top. Underneath it is easier to see the crack. A good restoration could fix it invisibly. Up for auction or"Buy It Now" is a Marked and Signed"Roy" Weissman Company, Incorporated of East Palestine, Ohio and New York City, New York(Circa 1941 to Closed in 1957) Weisley China(WC) Brand, American Art Pottery, Hand Painted-Handcrafted, American Painted Porcelain" Small Porcelain Artware Ewer Pitcher which can best be Attributed as Being Manufactured and Decorated by the Dwight Morris China Company also of East Palestine, Ohio(1939 to 1982) in"Excellent" Used Condition and Made Between Circa 1941 to 1957. This little ewer has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind. It's only post factory issue is that some gold trim has worn away and picture 12 is a close up of the most worn area. This isn't uncommon to see when gold trim is applied either. It can be fired ... moreon or underglaze and it usually is when it's part of the main pattern, but many times it's a final production step and it's applied cold. It has real gold in it and ceramic decorators use 22, 23 or 24 karat gold. It's always been an acceptable practice of cold painting the gold trim as a last step so it shouldn't be considered poor quality work by potteries and decorating firms. Immersed washing and dusting with a heavy hand are two main ways wear happens and most consumers aren't aware that the gold trim areas need some special care. This piece is about 6 1/4 inches tall and about 3 1/8 inches at the most bulbous point near the bottom. The next biggest measurement is the from the outward pour lip across to the handle at about 2 3/4 inches and the top opening is an oval of about 5/8 inches by 3/4 inches across. Being true porcelain means this piece will be strong. But light weighing about 5 ounces. There's a beautiful hand painted floral pattern which I'm fairly sure is representative of the pansy flower. Elegant. Royal Bonn, 12-3/8" tall, porcelain ewer, with very fine hand painted floral decoration and gold detailing. Beautiful, flowing, handle, wraps around the neck of the piece. The leaves and flowers are meticulously outlined in gold. Very nice! This pitcher is 6 1/4 inches high at the top of the handle. It is a"pelican jug" shape. The decoration is blue on a cream color body. But the handle is dark green with some traces of gold. It is in great condition. In the last picture I tried to show one area where the glaze is bumpy, but I believe it was in the making, not damage as it is smooth. There is no mark of a maker.

Antique Austrian porcelain ewer/vase/pitcher made by the Robert Hanke Porcelain Factory, in Ladowitz, Bohemia, Austria, today, the Czech Republic) The Robert Hanke Porcelain Factory, Ledvice, Czechia was founded in 1882 and closed in 1945. This 14" tall x 5.25" wide(at handles) x 16.50" in diameter is a wonderful example of the elegant fine porcelain produced during the 60 years that this factory was in operation. Based on the stamp, it appears this ewer/vase/pitcher was made between 1880 and 1900, but I was unable to totally validate this. It was purchased from an estate and the 70+ yr. owner said that it had been in her mother's family. Offered for your consideration is an antique Victorian floral motif hand painted flowers Ewer. This piece is simply amazing. It stands 17" tall. The base is 5" square and the porcelain is about 5" in diameter at the widest. The base and top of the ewer is a pot metal with a antique gold finish. It stands on a four footed base that has sweeping pierced curves- very ornate. The lovely porcelain is darker green at the top, fading to a light green then to a creamy white. The final color is a very pale pink. On this is hand painted pink edged flower with green stems and leaves. The top of the ewer is again very ornate with a long suspended handle. The under part of the spout has a lion's head and trailing flowers. There are no markings as to whom the maker was or where it was made. There are no chips, cracks or damage of any ... morekind. The Ewer/Pitcher is marked Dresden SEMI-PORCELAIN and the basin is not marked. I do not believe that this is an original pair but both are actually old. The pitcher has embossed designs in the middle part and by the top. See images. It has a muted bouquet of flowers that I cannot determine. The pitcher also has some crazing but no cracks that I can see. There's also a muted bouquet inside the snout. The basin looks like it was used and there are some water marks inside the ... morebasin. It is also embossed on top and it is not marked. The floral design cloub be cherry blossom. I cannot determine if the florals on both pieces are decals of handpainted since they are both muted. The basin also has cracks inside, by the lip and outside(I found 2) but its not a cvrack the goes through the ceramic. The basin is a very thick ceramic almost like an Ironstone piece. It measures 17" in diameter and about 5.25" high. The Pitcher measures 11.875" High, 10" by 8.5" NOTE: If you purchase this item. Wave Form Porcelain Ewer with Maria Therese Portrait. 9 inches high, marked on bottom“Victoria, Carlsbad” with an image of an angel in the center, Austria, cobalt blue decoration overlaid with gold leaf, probably late 1800’s, decal portrait of Maria Therese, 1 st wife of Louis XIV. Based on a painting by Francois Perrier, no chips or cracks, some very minor wear to the gold leaf, some imperfections in the decal from the original application, just what the Victorians loved, lots of color and gilt, and a very fanciful form, the handle is extremely complicated, the lip of the ewer is fluted, the base is like sea foam with tentacle legs, and the left side is like a segmented shell, lots of places for dust to gather, the front has a lovely image of the Queen and the back has a simple decal of flowers, a true period piece.
