This is a delightful size. Just 5-1/2' high. A fine looking small size antique cream pitcher with high relief decoration of two figures. A mother and child on one side of the pitcher. This charming pattern of the molded figures of the mother and child is often found in a larger size, typically 8" high or larger. Unusual to find this delightful small size cream pitcher. The lustre is still bright and beautiful. A deep coppery coloring and quite reflective so it is difficult to see the relief work. Holding it in your own hands you can both see and feel the lovely molded designs and painted leaf decoration to the jug. There is also polychrome decoration on the mothers dress and the child clothing. The entire pitcher in fact has a relieft molded design of a tree. UP FOR AUCTION TODAY IS A a nice little Victorian copper lustre cream jug with a dark blue band around the middle of the pot belly. There is a sprigged picture on both sides of the jug. I believe that it portrays a lady on a garden bench with a small dog. The jug measures about 4 inches high and 4.5 inches across from the front of the spout to the back of the handle, the jug is in generally good condition with no, cracks, or signs of restoration just a little bit of a chip on the pour spout. Antique White Ironstone Pitcher & Bowl - Niagara Shape - Copper Lustre - c.1856
Offered is a gorgeous. Matching, White Ironstone Bowl& Pitcher in the Niagara Shape. This shape features wonderful embossing below the spout of the pitcher, and a series of fan shapes around the base of the pitcher and inner rim of the bowl. Both are beautifully outlined with copper lustre. They were produced by Edward Walley in Cobridge, England, and registered in November, 1856. Both pieces retain his impressed mark with the shape name. The bowl has a small chip on the underside rim and a tight hairline on the side of the bowl. The pitcher has spider lines on the bottom; one that goes a very short way up from the base. The pitcher also has a couple of pinpoint marks on the body from production. This is a lovely antique copper luster(lustre) milk or cream pitcher from the late 1800's.found in a local estate sale and fresh to the market. Clean and simple lines and wonderful deep blue in the colored band. Pitcher is 3-1/2 inches tall and 4-1/2 inches from spout to handle. Mouth is 2-3/8 inches in diameter and base is 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Overall in very good condition.base shows wear and small white area that appears to be leftover from a sticky tag. ANTIQUE COPPER LUSTRE 19TH C PITCHER ENGLISH APPLIED FIGURES FACE MINT CONDITION
A COPPER LUSTRE PITCHER WITH REAL PERSONALITY! HEY COLLECTORS! Fresh to the market this week is first time listing of a genuine early period 19th c English Copper Lustre Pitcher of goodly size with all the bells and whistles one could look for in one piece; highly lustrous shiny irridescent glaze. Applied polychrome tactile figures to the blue mid body band; beaded and ribbed body; a Mythical Face peering out from under the spout in relief, and overall, mint excellent condition. The pitcher stands five inches tall and three inches across the open top. It is unmarked on the bottom. Just more and plenty shiny deep copper overglaze as you can see from tilted picture, and true colors as taken on a recent spring day in natural daytime sunshine; what you see is accurate. On the blue band is a left and riight applied figural raised decoration of ... moremaidens in pink and orange gowns playing with spotted brids on a fence and central under the spout. Is a cluster bouquet of an orange, 2 lemons, and a pink morning glory flower with foliage. The beading twin rows is distinct and sharp, as are the ribbed rows along base for eye appeal, and the handle is slight ribbed. The under-face is just a nice extra touch and you can see the profile provided. The deep copper glaze wraps around to the interior cavity by two inches. Condition Report: Overall untouched. Unrepaired excellent condition. I see no hairlines or chips. For the sake of ulitmate accuracy, there is a white spot size of pencil tip on Pink Lady's shoulder of gown, may be a glaze flake or misfire, but been there the entire time. I carried this back from Florida on an airline flight having found it down there. Noting many good antiques go South with retirees saving the best for last, and then they come back North to make another Collector happy all over again! Honestly this is very near what I paid for it, I'd love for a serious collector to have this for display, and every piece I list does find a good home. This is a delightful size. Just 5-1/2' high. A fine looking small size antique cream pitcher with high relief decoration of two figures. A mother and child on one side of the pitcher. This charming pattern of the molded figures of the mother and child is often found in a larger size, typically 8" high or larger. Unusual to find this delightful small size cream pitcher. The lustre is still bright and beautiful. A deep coppery coloring and quite reflective so it is difficult to see the relief work. Holding it in your own hands you can both see and feel the lovely molded designs and painted leaf decoration to the jug. There is also polychrome ... moredecoration on the mothers dress and the child clothing. The entire pitcher in fact has a relieft molded design of a tree. Even the handle is fashioned to appear like gnarled wood. The interior is copper lustre. This is circa 1880's. Large squatty Antique Old English Copper Lustre pitcher pink blossoms creamer
charming squatty pitcher.approx 4 3/4" at it highest x 6" at its widest.this pitcher has a unique. Different shape. the same pink color of the flower blossomes(apple? was used to create a pink rim(1" inside the lip. the trailing vine that connects the blossoms is copper lustre. the darker dots in the flower centers and along side are copper also. there is no crazing, chips, or crack sin the pitcher. there is very, very little copper loss. the handle and spout have no damage. the decorator of the pitcher painted a ship. With 2 sails, over the green factory maker's mark. I can not make it out. the style make me think this is an English piece. any suggestions about the mark would be appreciated. please look at the pictures and ask your questiions before buying. Depicts scenes of cupids riding a chariot and on the other side. A cupid about to release his arrow, cupids flying and carrying torches, some musical instruments. Sprigging is good. On a par with Adams or old Sadler- I could not find these scenes in any of the Wedgwood catalogs. 6 7/8" tall x just over 9 1/2" from spout to handle. This is a very nice Antique. 19th Century Copper Lustre water pitcher. Its copper luster is enhanced by the contrasting ribbons of dutch blue. There is an imperfection on its body, near the handle(as pictured) There is not any other damage. There are not any cracks, no breaks or repairs.
