The basin has light crazing that is typical of pieces this old. It is white in color with a very faint. Light blue undertones. Measurements: Pitcher is 12" tall and 7.5" near the bottom. This is a vintage china chamber basin and jug in a lovely flow blue design. Then trimmed in gold. Pink flower decorate both sides of the pitcher. The bowl is especially lovely with its raised design and gentle shading. It is hallmarked"RS Prussia" on the bottom of the pitcher, there is no hallmark on the bowl. Both the large bowl and the pitcher are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Just a small bit of crazing. The pitcher measures about 11" high. The bowl is 16" in diameter x 4-1/2" high. Hi. I have up for auction a beautiful vintage Ironstone, Victorian style Water Pitcher and Bowl Basin Set. It has been in my family for a very long time. I can remember my Grandmother having it set on a washstand. It is a very large and heavy Ironstone set. It is old and has been used, passed down and it does have flaws, and wear. It has 1 fairly large chip on the edge of the bowl. It has several small flake size chips on the top edge of bowl. It has small flake chips on the edge of pitcher. It has a few bubbles formed from the glazing. It is unmarked. It has no cracks that I can see. It has lovely roses and floral decor on the front and back with colors of brown, tan, and off-white. There are no markings on it so I don't know if it is a reproduction or not. It is beautiful and brightened our living room for years. My mother would put roses in it. Antique F. WINKLE& CO"DART" PITCHER AND WASH BASIN Today I have decided to sell an absolutely lovely F. Winkle& Co circa 1893 Flow Blue Pitcher and Bowl set decorated in the Dart Pattern. This set offers a super rare deep dark blue Flow Blue Antique striking with its gold gilding. The pitcher measures approximately 12 1/4" in height with a slightly lobed body. Having four slight creases or indents giving an overall melon shape with molded four molded fans extending downward from the neck. The body of the jug is decorated with the most vivid deep dark blue flown transfer decoration featuring large groupings of azalea type flowers that alternate with panels of scrolls and vines. A jewel pattern drops down from the rim. The basin measures a bit over 15 1/2" in diameter. The exterior of the bowl is also slightly lobed(the ... moreinterior is not) And the fan shapes drop down from the rim and rise up from the base rim. The flow blue azalea pattern on the exterior of the pitcher is repeated on the interior of the bowl. The jewel pattern on the exterior of the bowl matches the neck of the pitcher. Both pitcher and bowl have gilded rims and sponging that is in pretty good shape. Both are also marked in blue under glaze: DART Rd No 219409 F.W. Co ENGLAND. Each also has a raised in-mold rectangle. Within the rectangle. Rd 187591" is impressed, although in the case of the pitcher, the impression is illegible. Condition: Both pieces have been carefully inspected and critically scrutinized for damage. Both have been black-light tested for repairs. No chips. Cracks, or repairs are present. The pitcher has fine crazing inside and out. Of note is a specific circular line on the exterior base of the pitcher near the back stamp that has been examined closely. There is loss to the gold gilding. There are also several spots or flaws on the bottom of the pitcher that look like they were a part of the firing process as they seem embedded in the glaze. Antique Empire Ware England 1930's floral art deco pitcher bowl basin set
Found this item at an Estate Sale. Just wonderful. I don't know much about antique/vintage items. But this is marked ENGLAND Empire Ware and has some numbers on the bottom of both the pitcher and bowl. This set is very large. The highest point of the pitcher measures almost 12" and the bowl is slightly over 16" wide. This is a set and the floral designs match perfectly. The set is in very very good condition. The gold accents"rubbed" off in some areas. I tried to show this in the photos. There are no cracks in t he item. There are s few small smudges throughout the piece. These are very small and would not show in pictures. The slight wear does not detract from piece. Please read my feedback and you will see that you have no worries. This pottery was made by Wheeling Pottery Co. Wheeling, West Virginia, between the years of its operations from 1879 to 1909. PITCHER: The pitcher is in exceptionally good condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks. There is age-related crazing all over. As would be expected of an item this old. The crazing is not visible from a distance. The color of the porcelain china is still very good with little or no fading. The LaBelle China mark is on the bottom. The pitcher is about 11-12 inches high and 9 inches wide. BOWL: The bowl is in good condition for its age. There are no chips or cracks on the inside surface of the bowl. There are no cracks on the outside ... moresurface. There are 3 very small chips/ dents on the outside that may be manufacturing defects. There is age-related crazing all over. As would be expected of an item this old. The Blue is Deep and flowing. Love this set. Displays so beautifully. This set. It appears to be a iris floral decoration. Set is highlighted with intricate gold gilding in the most breathtaking design on both the pitcher and the bowl. Very minimal gold loss through the ages. A few minimal scratches on the bottom of the bowl from pitcher. No discolorations that I could see, may be one or two tiny flea bites. No chips, repairs or cracks. Very little crazing(if any) I mean this set is amazing. Royal Doulton made in England. I love this set. It displays so well. Pitcher and bowl sets were an essential part of every home all through the 19th century until we started getting indoor plumbing. Most bedrooms in most homes would have a pitcher and bowl set so people could wash up. It would sit on the nightstand or on a washstand and they used it every day. Tell me how you got hold of this washbowl. APPRAISER: If we take out the pitcher and set it aside. We can turn up the bowl so that we can get a closer look at the design. This has a really elaborate cobalt blue under glaze design of iris. On top of that is a really elaborate gold work. The gold is actually raised up, which is a more expensive process than flat gold. On the bottom, we can turn it over and take a look at the mark. It is made by the Royal Doulton Company. This is before it was Royal. This mark was used from about 1891 to about 1902. Pitcher-and-bowl sets are not a very popular collectible. If you had collected 20 pitcher-and-bowl sets, where would you put them? They take up so much space. And most pitcher-and-bowl sets are very utilitarian-looking. They were not expensive because people used them all the time

I know nothing about this other than it is very pretty. It was given to me by a relative who passed away years ago and I've had it for about 35 years. Unfortunately I have no place to display it and see no reason to continue storing. The pitcher is about 5 inches tall and the base is about 2 1/2 inches across. The bowl is about 7 inches across. It has gold trim and pink& yellow roses. Both pieces are marked in red on bottom with"E2360" and a foil label that says"Japan by Adrian" I see no chips or cracks. The Warwick factory opened in 1887 and closed in 1936, because of a flood most of their records were lost. Antique BROWNFIELD & SONS 4 PC Set Wash Basin Pitcher & Bowl with soap dish
Very rare Brownfield& Sons wash basin set. Bowl is approximately 5" tall and 15-1/2" diameter. The pitcher is 13-1/4" tall. I believe the other piece is a soap dish but I haven't seen one like it before. The top has 21 holes in it so the water can drain into the bowl underneath. This small dish is 2-1/4" tall and 5-3/4" diameter(This is the measurement with the lid on) Each piece has a very beautiful floral design. The only piece not stamped with the Brownfield& Sons hallmark is the lid to the small dish but it is obviously original to the set. No chips or cracks which is very rare for a set this old. The pitcher has embossed designs in the middle part and by the top. See images. It has a muted bouquet of flowers that I cannot determine. The pitcher also has some crazing but no cracks that I can see. There's also a muted bouquet inside the snout. The basin looks like it was used and there are some water marks inside the ... morebasin. It is also embossed on top and it is not marked. The floral design cloub be cherry blossom. I cannot determine if the florals on both pieces are decals of handpainted since they are both muted. The basin also has cracks inside, by the lip and outside(I found 2) but its not a cvrack the goes through the ceramic. The basin is a very thick ceramic almost like an Ironstone piece. It measures 17" in diameter and about 5.25" high. The Pitcher measures 11.875" High, 10" by 8.5" NOTE: If you purchase this item. Please wait for my invoice since I will need to add the insurance(they do not automatically calculate) This is a very heavy item, an oversized package and will need to be double boxed. A few minimal scratches on the bottom of the bowl from pitcher. No discolorations, no flea bites that I can see. No chips, repairs or cracks. Very little crazing. Antique PITCHER & BOWL, Basin Set ~ England~ Meakin 1875 Mark, Jesmond
Antique PITCHER& BOWL. Basin Set Marked Jesmond England with 1875 Alfred Meakin Mark Offered is a very old wash basin and pitcher marked Alfred Meakin and Jesmond. England. From what I have been able to find out, the Globe maker’s mark was used by Alfred Meakin Ltd. between 1875 and 1897. Alfred Meakin Ltd was set up in 1875 and operated from the Royal Albert. Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. Alfred Meakin was the brother of James and George Meakin who ran a large pottery company in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Considering its age. The set is in remarkable condition. The bowl has a few inches of roughness along the rim. There are tiny chips that have to be felt. The pitcher is in very good condition. There is a small crack where the handle is attached to the body of the pitcher. I believe it has probably been there since the day ... morethe handle and pitcher were attached. Take a look at the picture and I think you’ll understand how I came to that conclusion. There is also a tiny glob of something on the lip of the pitcher; maybe paint. It was possibly too close when the room was painted. Finally. There is a tiny flea bite or two along the rim Both pieces have light crazing. They are 120 or so years old. They deserve to develop a few flaws like the rest of us oldsters. The bowl measures almost 14 inches across and stands 4 ½ inches. The pitcher is 11 ½ inches at its tallest point. The set has survived over 100 years. I would hate to have it damaged in the mail. So I plan to pack it in a very large box and possibly double box the pieces. Unfortunately the box’s size will cause it to be labeled“balloon weight” and the Post Office will add a surcharge. Please feel free to ask questions

I don't know much about this set. There are no marks on the items to indicate maker or year made. My research shows that the Ford Challinor Co. Wheat and Clover Pattern is the closest thing to this. But. I am not knowledgeable about ironstone, or the makers; so I can't say for sure. I spent a lot of time researching this already, so I have to give up trying to identify it. I leave it to you- the experts- to determine what this is, and bid top dollar for the delight of possessing this unique set. The pitcher weighs about 4 pounds and is 11.5 inches tall. The bowl weighs about 5 pounds and is about 14.25 inches wide at the rim and 5.5 inches tall. Local pick up only Leesburg. Virginia. Buyers in Virginia pay 6% state sales tax.

Antique Wash Basin & Pitcher Ironstone Bowl Set Marked Flo Blue
This antique. Authentic wash basin and pitcher are made of ironstone, probably in the 1800's. The impressed makers mark is on the basin only. Two animals facing each other in between a shield. It could be a dragon or a lion facing a bird. It's hard to tell. Underneath it says Flo Blue 1850. The pitcher only has 1850. I realize this does not look like anything the term is used with today. I have not been able to find any information on this mark. My great aunt was a huge antique collector and this set came from her. She passed in 1968. The basin or bowl is 5" tall and 15 3/4" across. Both pieces have been glazed completely. The colors are cream and shades of brown mostly. With a reddish undertone in the center of the pitcher. The pitcher handle is 12" high and the body is 8" wide. It has a beautiful shape and the ... morepattern really accents the shape. Some photos are with a flash. It has been sitting in a garage apartment for almost 50 years untouched. I repaired a chip on the base of the pitcher. There are a few spots where the color is gone. Just flea bites and one place on the upper edge of the bowl. The bottom rims both show some signs of wear. The Flo Blue mark is something I personally have not seen. I believe this piece was made in England. I also believe the term flow blue has been used to describe a look and now is known as a process. To me. This set is evidence of a company or a manufacturer of that name. Some always cry forgery if they aren't familiar, but I don't believe a forger wouldn't use Flo Blue on a brown piece. It feels like this could be a piece of history that we have lost. If anyone knows anything about the mark and the Flo Blue name. I would love to know!
