Lovely Vintage Transfer Ware Grecian Children Grooming with Roses Pitcher
This is a sweet ceramic pitcher with a transfer ware picture depicting three Grecian girls grooming themselves and each other with roses. One girl is hold a mirror for the other to see. Pitcher is embossed and decorated with pink at both the rim and the base. Measures 7" tall. 4" in diameter at the rim, 7 1/4" from the spout across the top to the outermost area of the handle, and nearly has a 4" square diameter at the base. The handle itself is 4" tall. There is some rubbing of the pink near the rim and down the center of the transfer ware area as seen in my second picture. General condition is very good with no other dings chips, cracks, or repairs. Inside is clear of any problems, too. I pack with lots of wrap and TLC. The matching set is in great condition with no apparent glaze crazing, cracks or chips. The pitcher with embossed bow measures about 11" high and is about 10" wide at the widest point. Circa 1840’s fabulous English ironstone transfer ware pitcher w/shells. Seaweed, coral This is a very fine early 19 th century English ironstone pitcher. It is dated to the 1840’s by the shape of the pitcher and the handle. It is not signed by the manufacturer but has some impressed marks: the number“3” and what looks like a chair or it could be a lower case“h” or“b” and a faint mark that could have been the manufacturer’s mark but it is too faint to discern. It measures 5” tall and 5” wide. The transfer decoration is ocean-themed: an arrangement of shells and seaweed on the body and a garland of coral around the inside and outside of the lip and on the handle. Condition: Other than typical wear to the finish from use. There are no chips or cracks. Marked on the bottom with the makers mark Keystone Condition of the bowl: You will see crazing and some staining in that crazing. If you do not like the staining which is part of the age I know a recipe to clean it out. Antique COPELAND SPODE. HEAL& SON LONDON W, ENGLAND Blue White Large Pitcher Jug This is a beautiful dark ink Flow Blue transfer ware pitcher. The design shows an English scene with a house. Large tower, buildings, a lovely bridge with people setting by the river, and lots of gorgeous trees. A band around the top is decorated with flowers. The handle has a gorgeous floral design. Bottom is marked: COPELAND SPODE. ANTIQUE MONTREAL CLIFF TRANSFER WARE CERAMIC/PORCELAIN GRAVY PITCHER WITH TRAY
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This is a lovely and delicate antique(circa 1800's) two piece ceramic/porcelain set- including gravy pitcher and matching drip tray. It is a black floral transfer ware pattern- and presents beautifully. The bottom of the pitcher is hallmarked Montreal Cliff and the set is in overall good condition. It shows some wear for its age which can be seen in the pictures. There are no repairs to either of the pieces- and only a small hairline crack on the top surface of the tray which can be seen in the picture. The pitcher stands 5 1/4" in height- and measures 5" across from the spout to the top of the side handle. The tray measures 7 1/2" across. R.M.W. Co. Transferware- Agricultural Vase Pattern- Pitcher- 1840's era Ridgway. Morley, Wear& Company made transfer ware of this pattern from about 1835- 1842. Improved Granite China is marked on the bottom. One small knick on the lip of the pour spout can be barely noticed in the pictures. This is called the Agricultural Vase Pattern.
