Please be patient there are 12 photos to be loaded in this auction. Up in this auction is an antique Staffordshire copper luster pitcher. This has pink transfer on the side in a leaf and floral pattern. The simple shape of this pitcher helps to play up the rich colors and transfer. This measures approximately 5 3/4" tall and 5 1/2" at its widest. We are calling this shabby chic due to some surface crazing both inside and out. Antique Victorian Huge English Wash Bowl Water Pitcher Aesthetic Blue Transferware HARVEST by Della Robbia Lovely and large water pitcher made by a not so well known North Staffordshire potter called Della Robbia Co. They were only in existence from 1894 until 1901. Located in Birkenhead. The pattern name"HARVEST" is printed on the bottom of the pitcher. The center swatch is indeed that of some workers in the field with flowers and stems projecting through it and around it. On the back side of the pitcher, the scene is repeated but in a smaller size. Between the two scenes there is a small sprig of flowers and leaves. This pitcher has a segmented melon shaped body. Scalloped top and rope handle. The pitcher measures 11-1/2" tall and about 8" wide(across the widest part of the body) This is the size you would find with ... morea wash basin bowl! Would look so nice in a cottage decor or at a bed and breakfast. The pitcher is in excellent condition! If I didn't know its age and only looked at its condition. I would think it was nearly new! There are no chips or cracks or crazing. The only very minor thing I see are some light grayish marks along the rope handle which appear to have been done in manufacturing, perhaps thinner paint coverage. Also, a few craze lines on the bottom exterior of the pitcher and a few inside the pitcher, only on the surface. The pitcher is immaculately clean, inside and out. The glaze is nice and shiny. A true beauty!

Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Pitcher or Large Creamer Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers Gold paint trim around the neck. On the handle, and also around the top rim. Some of the gold paint has worn off on the top rim and also the top of the handle. There is a rough area on the top rim where the gold paint is worn but I do not think it is a chip but rather where the paint has gathered. There are 4 tiny black dots that are in the china from the original firing. Two on the outside and two on the inside. I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a red"S" in a red diamond shape and the numbers"1446 and 54" in red on the bottom. I could not identify the maker. Mixed transferware coloring of both reds and green. Outer rim scene on bowl and upper edge of pitcher is the classic views of the early 1800's including dominant florals and exotic sailing vessels. The real beauty lies in the inner bowl and center scene of the pitcher which shows a rich view including greek motif buildings, exotic sailing vessels, a lush landscape ... moreand a figural urn which is used as the focal point. This dramatic use of the dual transferware color was not common and quite costly as each color required its own transfer and firing. Gorgeous Victorian Pitcher! Love this shabby chic treasure! Wonderful ornate blue/green design with flowers. Scrolls, leaves, on a HUGE embossed vase/pitcher! In amazingly excellent condition considering this is an oldie! Although I am unfamiliar with the pattern and there are no markings on the pitcher. I believe this to be Victorian and from Staffordshire/Stoke-on-Trent. It would have originally had a water bowl underneath, and quite possibly an entire'dressing' table set. My favorite of these pieces is the pitcher, because it's versatile, practical and holds anything! The pitcher's brown transferware depicts Roman/Greek pots, vases, and serving platter atop a leaf-scroll pattern shelf. This exact same design appears on both sides of the pitcher. The pots and vases pictured on this pitcher contain images of Greek/Roman mythological men and women. The top of the pitcher is bordered with a floral scroll design that is about 1 1/4" thick. The inside rim of the pitcher also has a brown border. The handle is decorated with a floral design and raised scroll design at the bottom of the handle. All of this beautiful artwork is a soft brown, which contrasts masterfully with the white pitcher. I do not see any lines though that match up from one side to the other, so I would say that structurally this piece is perfect. Stands at 7" Tall and is 6" at its widest. Beautiful Transfer Patter of foliage. Butterfly, bee or moth and lots of leaves and branches. I've tried showing each and every side and detail to this piece so that you're able to see the condition. Stunning Antique Transferware Pitcher Oriental Scene Blue & Purple With Lid
Up for auction is a stunning antique oriental transferware pitcher that is approximately 8 inches tall. This piece is old and you can see from the photos their is crazing in the finish of the pitcher but its not uncommon especially for transfer ware. The lid is metal and beautifully crafter with the decorated thumb handle on the top. Just the craftsmanship in this is astounding as you can see how the lid is attached to the pitcher itself it is solid. And in perfect condition. The hinges work flawlessly and the decorated border around the top and bottom brings it all together. The oriental scene is beautiful and the blue and purple make it pop really attracting your eyes. The pitcher is very detailed with its scene with the two men and their wooden buskers beside them. The only damage is the common crazing in the finish and a little wear on ... morethe bottom. Besides that, this piece is absolutely gorgeous making it a real gem. It is unmarked and has nothing to show for its origins. When doing research their were no marks placed on transfer ware till the late 1800's and this piece has the age to predate that. Antique 1800's Mason's Ironstone 6" Staffordshire Transferware Milk Pitcher 28oz
This is a Mason's mid 19th century milk pitcher produced in Staffordshire England. This pitcher is from the estate of an affluent New York farm family who had worked and lived on this property since the 1850's. The pitcher has an eight sided or octagon shape with a deep blue transferware pattern over opaque white ironstone. The bottom of this pitcher is entirely flat with no rims. The pitcher is completely covered inside and out with a glossy finish including the entire bottom. The glossy finish appears to have been brushed on the base as opposed to the rest of the pitcher. The solid handle was applied to the pitcher at some point in the making. The pitcher has a rural scenic design along with very attractive leaves and flowers surrounding the top rim. The leaf pattern around the top is identical to the one used on their Vista pattern. ... moreThe rest of the pattern is absolutely gorgeous. I have not found another pitcher like it. The handle is in the form of a snake. This pitcher has an early. Simple mark on it's base. This under glaze deep blue inky makers mark reads"MASON'S" over a crown, and underneath reads"PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA" in a banner. Variations of this mark were used from the 1820's up until it became law in 1890 to identify the country of origin at which time England was added. This appears to be a very early mark. I have taken several pictures for your better understanding. I will be very happy to answer any questions you might have. As to the condition; This piece is in outstanding condition. It was only owned by one family and was well cared for. There are no chips. Cracks or damage of any kind. There is a slight yellowing on the bottom of the base. It measures just over 6" high. Chubby pitcher or jug from the middle of the 19thC with deep blue flowers and leaves called Christmas Roses or Rose de Noel(as stamped on the bottom) on each side, with a single bloom under the lip and over it as well as a small pattern on the top of the handle. The flowers were applied as Transferware which is a glazed/colored paper pattern(first etched on a copper plate) and placed on the piece. And once the color is transferred, then the piece is fired thus permanently attaching the design and color. Circa 1887 Antique Victorian White Ironstone Pitcher Transferware Jasmine Motif
For sale is an antique ironstone pitcher with ribbed upper band. Spout, and lower four corners. The pitcher is decorated front and back with a design called Jasmine, which was registered in 1887. It stands 7 3/8" at its tallest, 7" from tip of spout to outer edge of handle, and 4" deep. The pitcher is marked: Jasmine R. No. 75878 T.G. F.P. I think.it's very hard to read) There also is an old raised diamond-shape mark-not filled in, a stamped 3, and three incised letters that look like FCP. I have not been able to identify this maker, but I do believe it to be English. The pitcher is in very good condition: No chips or breaks. There's a tiny hairline where the handle attaches at the top and it looks like someone might have used a bit of glue in the seam between the handle and the pitcher; there are a couple of tiny pits ... morein the glaze; and the bottom rim is rough from many decades of sitting on hard surfaces. All-in-all in very good condition for its age. We have a smoke and perfume free environment. CONDITION NOTE: All of our items are vintage or antique. Antique Black and White Transferware Pitcher featuring two girls on a farm fence. Scene is all the way around the medium sized pitcher. Beautiful embossed handle. Purchased at an old Hunterdon County estate. It is not marked and I do not know its history. But it is a lovely piece. Based on other's I have seen, I believe this pitcher is from the mid 1800s. NO cracks or chips. There is a ding near the bottom that is under the glaze. So it was done during the making and should not be considered a flaw, but I like to mention everything. The lightest crazing under certain lighting conditions. Measures about 7 inches tall and is about 6 inches wide at the handle. No reserve-good luck!

The washbowl and pitcher has a gorgeous floral pattern which features purple. Pink, white, and blue hand-painted flowers over a brown transfer printed leaf design. The edge of the bowl is stepped and there are gold accents on the rims. The bottom of the pitcher and bowl are marked in green as shown. And overall the bowl measures approximately 10 3/8" in diameter while the pitcher stands about 8 3/8" tall. Item Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. It is extremely clean and has no chips. Cracks, or repaired areas. The white earthenware is still very bright ... moreand the painted flowers give it a dramatic burst of color against the brown background. The glaze is glossy with no crazing. And there are some light scratches on the interior of the bowl and standard rubbing to the base rims. The polychrome flowers show little to no wear except for the one on the handle which has worn from use and the gold accents display some loss and wear as well. This is a gorgeous MULBERRY transferware water pitcher made in the 1840's. It is large. Standing 12" tall and 8" at the widest point. The mulberry color is almost black on the base. The bottom has James Edwards impressed. This picture was made in Burlsem England and is in an oriental design with persons on a bridge and with lovely bunches of flowers. An interesting fact is that the pitcher was purchased on Ebay sometime in the past as it has an Ebay receipt inside that shows the local person who bought it paid $265.00. There is no date on the receipt. The pitcher has an old crack in the base of the handle that is starting to discolor. I have pictured this. A large water pitcher measuring a little over 11 inches high and at it widest about 9 1/2 inches.This came with a wash basin but not sure if they go together different maker.The photo was taken indoors its wonderful.Excellent condition.PS Keep me on your list of favorites I will be selling over 300 pieces of transfer ware in the coming months.I am not an expert if I make a mistake in my descriptions please let me know.PS Weighs almost 4 pounds.

Antique Brown Transferware Clyde Pitcher Jug Ironstone Click on the thumbnails to view more photos Fabulous antique ironstone brown transferware pitcher. C. 1860. The pitcher is quite large measuring 11" high and about 9" wide. It has an ornate handle and lovely embossed lines and scrolls. The pattern is gorgeous with various florals and leaves. There are no chips or cracks or repairs. It is marked Clyde England. I am not sure if it is Clyde Potteries if it is the pattern name. A fabulous pitcher! Antique Ironstone Wash Bowl & Pitcher Transferware w/colorful flower pattern
This is an outstanding Antique Ironstone Wash bowl and Pitcher. Purple and White with very detailed flowers and oak leafs on it. the transfer is so beautiful. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Its in truly mint shape! This is a larger set. The bowl measures 16 inches diameter and stands 4.5 inches. The pitcher measures 9 x 9 x 12 inches.
