Homer Laughlin China Empress Shape Pitcher(please scroll down for more photos) Home Laughlin's Empress shape tableware patterns were introduced in 1914 and were a popular shape until they were retired in the late 1920's. This exquisite Empress shape pitcher is white with bright blue accent lines on the rim and handle. The center line is broken on one side with a scene of what could be the Zuiderzee in times gone by. Sailing ships ply a tranquil sea with windmills on the horizon. This pitcher is about 5-1/2" high. And about 7" from handle to spout. The underside is marked with the Homer Laughlin backstamp, the shape name"Empress" and a number I can't make out. It weighs about 1-1/4 pounds, before boxing for shipment. antique salt glaze pitcher.this is a star pottery piece.from glasgow scotland.it does have their impressed star on the bottom.they were in business from 1880 to 1907 only. the piece has a small glaze flake on inside of rim.best seen in picture 12.has a couple others about the size of pencil lead.all are very shallow.does show some shelf wear.no cracks.hairlines,repairs,alterations,and crazing is very minimal.you will see some lighter area throughout the pictures.they are all under glaze.all in all this piece is in extraordinary condition for being over 100 years old.color is bright and displays very nicely.this piece could highlight your collection.over 8" tall and 7 1/2" wide. Early Nouveau Robert Hanke vase pitcher ewer flowers gold gilt early 1900s 9"
I have for you this evening a beautiful porcelain pitcher or ewer by the Austrian porcelain manufacturer and design studios of Robert Hanke in Bohemia. This lovely pitcher is in the Nouveau style and made of nice quality porcelain with a blush glaze that was all the rage in Europe at the time. The vase has been hand painted with stylized flowers with orange accent color and trimmed in raised gold slip work. The piece is dusted with gold on the face and the reverse and the base and rim are gilded as well as having a heavily gilded handle. The mold shape is pleasing to the eye and the handle is very tactile along with some scroll work at the neck. When all the elements are combined this becomes a very desirable piece by this maker and would make a great addition to your collection. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. ... moreThis piece stands around 9" tall and spans 5" at its widest point. This piece is stamped with the mark dating it from 1900 to 1918. Item condition report: This piece is in excellent antique condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing that I can find. The flowers are fresh and vibrant and the gold gilt is almost fully intact with only minor wear to the high points on handle and rim. Hi. this pitcher stands 3" tall and is about 3.25" across. The little bowl or it might have been a tea cup. Is 2.1/8" tall and 3.25" across. There are places that the shine is gone but for as old they are- they really are in good condition! The little cream pitcher does have a chip on the spout lip. Hi. this pitcher stands 5.25" tall and is about 6.25" across. Needless to say-over the years it has lost some of it's lustre! There are places that the shine is gone but for as old as it is- I thought it was in pretty good condition. Until I looked at the bottom. It has been repaired. The bottom is not the original but has been covered in clay. I would say by the looks of the repair that it was broken when it wasn't very old. Pitcher (Water) and Wash Basin bowl, English, Vintage, Falcon Ware, large
Vintage Pitcher and Wash Basin(could be from early 1900's) FALCON WARE. Made in England. Condition is excellent; value in set. Pitcher is 11.5 inches high to the highest point of spout. Bowl has 16.5 inch diameter which includes 1 1/4' lip all around. To my knowledge it has not been broken or repaired. I can not guarantee but I seen no evidence otherwise. The top glaze has fine lines in it as I'd expect from old porcelain. Inside the pitcher on its' floor one can feel some roughness about 1/2" ound. The pattern is captivating. See photo of cottage. The English cottage is repeated in various spots alternating with a flower bouquet. The pitcher on the bottom is engraved with MADE IN ENGLAND it is stamped with the same stamp on the bottom of the bowl where it is legible. The handwritten numbers on the pitcher base are 4 ... more8 5 0. and a handwritten floating"16" The bowl stamp is quite legible with FALCON WARE ENGLAND And a cursive capital LG intertwined. Looks like what is on the bottom of the pitcher but fainter and partially there on the pitcher. The gold trim seems very intact. Normal wear but actually less than normal wear to me. I see a touch worn off the handle but it's charming as I'd expect it there. The bowl also has the floating 16(or is it 10? Background color best described as Creamy. This set is charming. Wonderful decorative piece. Not too fragile, large for a statement, and a pattern that could go in most informal spots. I used this in a very contemporary home! Vintage Mid Century Modern Eames Era West Germany Folk Art Pottery Vase Pitcher: Scheurich Western Germany: Tribal Scroll Lava Mottled Glaze in warm Earth Tones of green. Brown, black, with undertones of reddish umber: Mottled Haresfur, Crackle and Lava Glazes HISTORY: I have had this a very long time- at least 20 years or so! A very warm and happy ceramic piece of West German origin. It will be a welcome addition to your eclectic retro home. Pleasing ewer, pitcher, handled jug type configuration and attractive designs, glaze textures. The colors are very nice and earthy- a wonderful semi matte rich mossy green mottled haresfur with umber red-brown undertones, PLUS a rich brownish black LAVA glaze borders. and gray-white-green crackle glaze swirls which are reminiscent of the ocean waves. Vintage Porcelain Wine Pitcher and Cups Berlin Motif, Wallendorf 1960s Germany

A gorgeous, ultra mod porcelain wine pitcher(or vase if you prefer) and two porcelain cups decorated with a Berlin cityscape and famous landmarks by Wallendorf, circa 1960s West Germany. All three pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or evidence of prior repairs, there are minimal surface stains on the porcelain. The bases have the Wallendorf makers mark. Pitcher measures 10 inches in height, 3.5 inches in diameter at the base, and 2.5 inches in diameter at the rim. Cups measure 3.5 inches in height. Hello: For sale is an early 19th Century English creamware pitcher with an Asian scene on it. The pitcher is 5.5" tall. And 3.75" with at the mouth, and 3.2" wide at the base. It is white creamware with red, orange, brown, and yellow. The scene shows an asian man, woman and 2 children. The overall condition is so-so. No repairs, or significant damage, but there are a number of small hairline cracks on the bottom and around the base. The finish also has a number of small worn spots. Defining the materials used to construct this rarefied piece is dear near impossible(due to our lack of expertise perhaps) But after our decades of handling all forms of materials we have to say it would probably be difficult for anyone in the field. It is extremely light and very thin-walled and unusual in that you can easily see how the floral designs were applied to the shoulders. Our photographer has made every attempt to get a peek inside the vessel and even the bottom has been very difficult to show as it is revealed to the in-person eye. It is extremely fragile. We have taken care through all these years not to hold it by its handle or lip for fear of breaking it with its somewhat eggshell construction. Antique Pitcher and Bowl marked Norway
Here I have a rare antique Pitcher and Bowl made in Norway.This pitcher and bowl set is a very unique one.It has which looks to be an Oriental designed fish on the top of the pitcher which the mouth is used as the spout.The pitcher is in good condition and the colors are so great bright pink and blue with white swirl through it,the bowl has been cracked and was repaired by the previous owners.I'm not sure how old this set is or how many years ago it was repaired but it sure is nice and different.The repair doesn't seem to effect how beautiful this pitcher and bowl are and how nice it looks on display.Measurements soon. Warranted Bone China Pitcher Brown/White Transferware Marked Maker Unknown Mint
I believe that this is a older piece. More antique than vintage! It is marked, although I found the markings impossible to read, I actually gave myself a headache! What I was able to make out is: WARRANTED BONE CHINA? BROS&CO. What I do know, is that it is a extremely handsome pitcher, measures approximately 8 inches tall. Front and back are both covered with brown and white transferware scenes. Slight pedestal base and a beautiful handle and spout. There is a fair amount of gold detail and if I had to guess, I would say that this was English in origin.

Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Pitcher or Large Creamer Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers Gold paint trim around the neck. On the handle, and also around the top rim. Some of the gold paint has worn off on the top rim and also the top of the handle. There is a rough area on the top rim where the gold paint is worn but I do not think it is a chip but rather where the paint has gathered. There are 4 tiny black dots that are in the china from the original firing. Two on the outside and two on the inside. I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a red"S" in a red diamond shape and the numbers"1446 and 54" in red on the bottom. I could not identify the maker. Very nice Antique Ceramic Porcelain Vegetable Bowl or serving bowl Transferware Floral design(apple blossoms? that has also be handpainted to color the flowers I would date this about 1880-1910? but that is just a guess It is marked with a blue circle that is hard to read but I think it says Mark& Gutherz Earl Sbad? and the numbers"1446 and 104" in blue on the bottom. I found a Gutherz in the Kovel book but not the rest of the names. I believe that sometimes these pieces were shipped out as blanks and then painted elseware. There are no chips or cracks It is 9"s long across the top including the rim. 6 3/4"s across at the widest part, and 3 1/2"s tall approximately. The measurements vary because the bowl is less wide in the center than at the ends and the same for the height. 1867 Elsmore Forster LAUREL WREATH Ironstone COFFEE POT Union Victory CIVIL WAR You are bidding on a beautiful and quite rare Elsmore and Forster victory laurel wreath pattern coffee pot. This pattern. Manufactured in England, was conceived for the American market. Dating from 1867, it was created to commemorate the Union victory in the American Civil War. One site, thepotteries.org, implies that the“victory” may also refer to the impeachment of Southern-born President Andrew Johnson making way for the election of Civil War Union hero Ulysses S. Grant. The victory laurel wreath pattern. Featuring circular wreaths adorned with a single star, is exceedingly rare and highly collectible. Even less common is the copper luster version offered here. This enormous coffee pot measures nearly a foot tall(about 11-1/2” from the base to the top of the ... morelid handle. It measures about 10” from the tip of the spout to the outer reaches of the handle. The bottom of the coffee pot has a raised Elsmore& Forster maker’s mark. This coffee pot is in fantastic shape overall. There are no chips whatsoever…not even under the lid. There is almost no wear to the copper luster either…not even at the tip of the spout. There are a few small flaws. However, that should be mentioned. First, there is a tiny hairline crack in the upper border of the coffee pot body measuring 1-3/4” in length. Again, this is not a huge, gaping flaw. It is merely a hairline crack. Here are multiple views of the same crack. There is a second crack in this piece which is luckily only apparent on the inside of the coffee pot. It measures somewhere in the neighborhood of 1-1/2” and stands out due to the coffee staining found throughout the pot’s interior. The only other issue that should be mentioned is generalized crazing to the finish. Since there is no staining to the outside of this coffee pot. The crazing is only apparent upon close inspection. large white and blue Arno pitcher by Willets Manufacturing
This pitcher is about 12" tall in the Arno pattern and was made between 1879 and 1909 by the Willets Manufacturing Company in Trenton. NJ. There are two small chips on either side at the top and a long crack. See pictures for more detail. It does hold water and would be beautiful with fresh,dried, or silk flowers in it. It weighs over 4 pounds. There is an area near the handle in the first picture that looks like a chip but is just the way the pitcher was made.

About 6-1/2" long from handle end to spout end. It is in very good condition for its age. It does have crazing throughout. Only one small chip near the rim as shown in photo. Large Antique Arab Pottery Pitcher 1877 English Registry Mark
This auction is for a rare early English earthenware pottery pitcher. The pitcher is decorated with the pictures of a desert and a men riding a camel. It is accented with elaborate trim around the top rim. All decorations are done in blue on a white background under the glaze. The pitcher bares multiple marks at the bottom. One of the marks is the English Registry mark that dates this pitcher to March of 1877. There is also an ARAB mark and a F&E Trade Mark as well as a small cross-like mark with two small dots. I am not familiar with these marks other than the English Registry one and therefore cannot identify the manufacturer of this magnificent. Old piece of earthenware. It stands an impressive 10.5" tall and is about 8.5" wide at its widest point. It is in very good condition for its age.
