Its in near mint condition beautiful detail, even the bottom is almost perfect with minimal scuffing. Please look at the pictures. This Antique White Ironstone Milk Pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The pattern is CINQUEFOIL and it was made in ca. 1860. The lustre pattern is in very good condition. Clearly defined. There are two CINQUEFOIL transfer patterns on the pitcher; both are shown in the photographs. The pitcher is 6 5/8" tall. Gaudy Welsh 'Bethesda' Octagonal Ironstone Jug with Dragon Handle
Beautiful. Medium sized Welsh Gaudy Ironstone Hydra pitcher with a Dragon Handle, c. 1830-1850. The detailed serpent has a luster glazed head, his tongue laps over the inner rim, his green& orange body ends with a tail& two hind legs clutching the octagonal base. The rear paws have painted claws. The floral is in the the Imari palette, painted in blues, burnt orange& peach, very bright& crisply done, extends to a garland on the inner upper rim. Stamped“Ironstone China” on the base. Examples of the dragon Hydra pitchers can be seen in Shuman’s book, Gaudy Dutch& Welsh” pgs. 163-164. Measuring 5″ X 5″ from the handle to the spout. Offered is this White Ironstone Table Pitcher in the Persia Shape. This shape features vertical panels. A scalloped top rim, and embossed leaves at the top and bottom of the handle. This shape was produced by W. Corn in Burslem, England circa 1864-1891. It has an impressed mark, but it is too light to read. This pitcher has a tight hairline on the very bottom with some age coloring(see photos) But no chips and only some light wear. This is a large. Vintage white ironstone pitcher in good condition. There is a split inside that does NOT go through to the outside. It is a manufacturing flaw. There is also a small, faint one on the top near the handle. There is all over crazing, which has darkened slightly in spots, but no other chips or cracks. Rings nicely when tapped. Pitcher Gaudy Welsh Ironstone Jug Pre-1840's Snake Handle Hand-Painted
For your consideration. This beautiful Gaudy Welsh Ironstone Jug is circa 1840's and doesn't have a single chip. I find that amazing! This had an octagonal body and base and the color is still very good, too. The snake handle has a hairline separation on one side of the snake's head where it meets the side of the jug, but this is very faint and it is very strong and firm. The outside of the spout is faintly darkened, there are a few specks here and there, and the interior is crazing and has some darkened age spots. This has a lovely painted detail on the inside of the spout, and the hand-painted pattern has metallic coppery touches. This is 7.25" tall and the same from spout to back of handle. This listing is for an antique. 4 quart ironstone china pitcher. It measures 10.75" to the top of the spout, 7.5" handle to spout, and about 5" across the bottom of the base. It's marked: Glasgow Ironstone China Warranted. The pitcher has crazing, and if you look at the next to the last photo, you can see two hairline cracks at the top of the handle. Victorian Brown Transfer Printed Ironstone Wash Jug SQUIRREL David Methven& Sons Kirkcaldy Fifeshire Scotland c1875 This huge jug was purchased in England but was made in Scotland during the height of the 19th century Aesthetic movement. It dates from the 1870s-80s. This winsome Victorian jug would have originally been accompanied by a huge wash basin. The jug measures a generous 12” tall and measures nearly 8” across the wide base. Scalloped rim and square applied handle. The jug features brown transfer printed images of a squirrel perched on the limb of an oak tree nibbling on acorns in a woodland setting. The image is repeated on each side and the top rim features a large parrot or bird on a branch. The inner edge is embellished with oak leaves and tiny acorns. The squirrel and surrounding foliage is tipped generously with gold or ... moregilded clobbering. The pattern name is Squirrel. The base is unmarked. The pattern was attributed to David Methven& Sons. A Scottish pottery in the last half of the nineteenth century. Very rare to find an example in such clean condition. The jug is in great condition with no chips cracks or repairs. Light crazing. Minor wear to the rim and the gilding, consistent with age. Offered as is. This oversized water jug is a great example, a decorators’ dream piece. Such a desirable design that Tiffany reproduced it recently. This jug is the original from which the Tiffany jug was copied. Handmade Pottery Jug Pitcher Large Vintage/antique Ironstone Style
In the ironstone style an old piece of handmade pottery this pitcher is large and could be used for flowers. It has a charming country look. The size is 8" tall and 8" wide when you include the handle. Without the handle it is 6" wide. The base is 5" in diameter I have had this over 20 years and I am downsizing. Perfect as a decor piece for a mantle. Kitchen, or any place in your home no makers mark. It has a light gray glaze but seems to be a reddish clay.

Lovely Ironstone Warranted(marked) pitcher or jug with lovely blue floral design and an am bossed bow. This vessel is large. And OLD. 10.5" tall and 8.5" across the handle area. There are some flaws, pictured. One crack in between the knot of the bow which goes all the way through, and one chip or pop on the lip which has been repaired. Still a lovely decorative piece. Makers mark has a shield and crown with a lion and unicorn surrounding it with WARRANTED underneath, but very difficult to read. LARGE 1840'S GREEN STAFFORDSHIRE EXCELSIOR TRANSFER PRINTED IRONSTONE JUG This is a gorgeous green polychrome English transfer printed ironstone jug. It stands 9" tall and measures 8 ¾ from spout tip to handle tip. It is marked on the base with Excelsior Ironstone. G. Wooliscroft, and dates 1851-1864. It is very large and a real show piece but does have considerable damage. There is a 3/8" top inside rim chip and a small outer rim chip, the handle has been off and reattached, see photos, and the base has tight hairlines, otherwise it is in very good condition. It displays beautifully and would be great for flowers. Winner pays USPS Priority mailing unless a large item. Then it is Parcel Post Select. I will consolidate items if more than one auction is won. Vintage White Ironstone Pitcher Jug and Bowl Alfred Meakin Ewer Tunstall England Fresh from an estate here in Maine is Super Rare Aflred J G Meakin White Stoneware Bowl and Pitcher. This came from an early Victorian house here in Maine with there was high end antiques and this being no exception. Expecially this one you can find the pitcher but never the bowl that matches it. The pitcher has a very tight hairline near the handle nothing to really worry about. The pitcher measures 12 inches tall 7 inches in diameter and is all marked with Black Ironstone mark. The bowl has tiny chip on it's rim and brown water mark in the bowl where pitcher set for years. It measures 5 inches tall and 11 1/2 inches in diameter and also marked with meakin mark.
