They have a fabulous collection that they ... moreare thinning out and I am confident it is all authentic and high quality. This kettle is very large. It is about 11 inches in diameter at the widest. 8 1/4 inches tall not including the handle. Including the spout and handle it is about 15 inches long and about 14 1/2 inches tall. It weighs about 6 lbs. It would have hung from a spit in an open fireplace to keep water hot at all times. It is believed by the owner to be late Victorian and the evidence seems to support that assertion. The body is constructed of spun copper with a slightly concave bottom which has been flattened in the middle from wear(with a lot of minor dings) The body is made in two pieces. Joined together with solder about 1/4 inch below the raised ridge(which has minor dings) There are four decorative rings incised on the lower part of the body. The lid is also spun copper in two pieces with a(appears to be) cast brass finial which was peened in place. There are numerous dings to the lower part of the lid, probably from dropping. It still fits well and adds to the charm of the entire piece. The opening for the lid is about 3 1/2 inches. The spout is cast brass in a beak shape. The lower part. Where it joins the kettle is rounded on top with five flatish facets on the lower side. The spout gradually transitions to a rounded beak shape at the spout. There are four rings incised on vertical part of the spout. The spout is soldered to the body and it looks as though it was resoldered at some point, it isn't the neatest soldering job I have ever seen but again it adds to the charm. The handle is brass. About 1/2 inch thick front to back and cast. The handle is attached to the body by four copper rivets. At the top is a tubular copper handle which is soldered with a single seam facing the body of the kettle. The handle shows numerous charming dings. The handle still shows tool marks and there

A COPPER LUSTRE PITCHER WITH REAL PERSONALITY! HEY COLLECTORS! Fresh to the market this week is first time listing of a genuine early period 19th c English Copper Lustre Pitcher of goodly size with all the bells and whistles one could look for in one piece; highly lustrous shiny irridescent glaze. Applied polychrome tactile figures to the blue mid body band; beaded and ribbed body; a Mythical Face peering out from under the spout in relief, and overall, mint excellent condition. The pitcher stands five inches tall and three inches across the open top. It is unmarked on the bottom. Just more and plenty shiny deep copper overglaze as you can see from tilted picture, and true colors as taken on a recent spring day in natural daytime sunshine; what you see is accurate. On the blue band is a left and riight applied figural raised decoration of ... moremaidens in pink and orange gowns playing with spotted brids on a fence and central under the spout. Is a cluster bouquet of an orange, 2 lemons, and a pink morning glory flower with foliage. The beading twin rows is distinct and sharp, as are the ribbed rows along base for eye appeal, and the handle is slight ribbed. The under-face is just a nice extra touch and you can see the profile provided. The deep copper glaze wraps around to the interior cavity by two inches. Condition Report: Overall untouched. Unrepaired excellent condition. I see no hairlines or chips. For the sake of ulitmate accuracy, there is a white spot size of pencil tip on Pink Lady's shoulder of gown, may be a glaze flake or misfire, but been there the entire time. I carried this back from Florida on an airline flight having found it down there. Noting many good antiques go South with retirees saving the best for last, and then they come back North to make another Collector happy all over again! Antique 5 piece English Copper Lustreware Pitchers
5 Piece set of antique copper lustreware pitchers! They vary in size and condition. Probably mid 19th century} Please note each items specific description and see all pics. Pitcher#1- Is a beautiful example of art pottery. It measures 7"H x 7 5/8"W from the front of the spout to the back of the handle. The top opening is 3 1/2" W. It does have some minor scratches and one small chip on the inside of the top of the handle. The spout front has a great looking"Northwind" type face on the front. Pitcher#2- Is 6"H x 6 3/8"W from the front of the spout to the back of the handle. The top opening is 3"W. Unfortunately. This second largest pitcher does have 4 chips to the spout and 1 on the rim. There is also another small chip to the base but it can only be noticed when you turn it upside down. The spout has ... morethe same"Northwind"type face on the spout. Pitcher#3- Is a little different in decoration. It does not have the face on the front of the spout. And the handle design is different It does have normal wear but no cracks or chips that I can find. It stands 4 3/4"H x 5 5/8"W from the front of the spout to the back of the handle. The top opening is about 3. Pitcher#4- Has a different color decoration around the diameter. It is tan in color. see pics} The size is 4 1/8" H x 5" from the front of the spout to the back of the handle, and the opening is 2 1/2. There is a small"dent" like mark on one side. I can't tell if this is a flaw in the manufacturing, or if it happened over the years. But there is no loss of color. There are the normal signs of wear. Pitcher# 5- Is the smallest of the lot. It measures 4"H x 4 5/8"W from the front of the spout to the back of the handle. The opening on top is 2 1/2. It does show normal wear but there are no chips or cracks. Large squatty Antique Old English Copper Lustre pitcher pink blossoms creamer
charming squatty pitcher.approx 4 3/4" at it highest x 6" at its widest.this pitcher has a unique. Different shape. the same pink color of the flower blossomes(apple? was used to create a pink rim(1" inside the lip. the trailing vine that connects the blossoms is copper lustre. the darker dots in the flower centers and along side are copper also. there is no crazing, chips, or crack sin the pitcher. there is very, very little copper loss. the handle and spout have no damage. the decorator of the pitcher painted a ship. With 2 sails, over the green factory maker's mark. I can not make it out. the style make me think this is an English piece. any suggestions about the mark would be appreciated. please look at the pictures and ask your questiions before buying. The handle is a fancy flange finger rest strap firmly attached on a body evenly shot with cooper lustre glaze. The neck features a thickly laid band of deep mustard coloration with shiny copper vines showing through. Nice prominent pour spout for rich Devon Cow British cream they served so many years ago! Ultra high pasteurization wasn't ... morea common thing yet in 1820! Antiques don't talk but the experienced Dealer knows how to make them come alive again for new collectors in this modern age. Plain glazed belly main body and even fully glazed on bottom. These were designed as cheap fair souvenirs and housewife treasure pleasures to brighten dark coal heated cottages in early 19thc England. Now we relish Copper Lustre as collectible pretties. Mustard Band Copper Lustre stands 4" tall and 2.5" across round base. Condition Report: No major damage. No hairlines, very nice even and overall shiny patina with good age first 19thc period. Sound, sits straight on flat surface, no nicks at lip or handle area where most used over time. There are random shaded small areas on body indicating glaze transfer in the firing process, not to be considered a flaw or damage, please see where I point out a small discolor darkened area. You can also see this on inner neck band and spout surface; true collectors realize these are antiques and such variation is expected. Up for auction here is a fine large antique circa 1840's English Staffordshire copper luster pedestal footed jug pitcher with yellow- orange banding that have hand painted copper leaves and flowers. The rim has molded beading and the handle a bit of scrolling flare. Overall exceptional condition for age- one small loss to glaze at edge of lip of spout and light wear to some areas of hand painted decoration of the flowers and leaves in the larger yellow band- otherwise no chips. Cracks, crazing or discoloration. The pitcher stands 6 3/8" tall, the highest point of the handle is 6 1/2" tall. The widest point from end of handle to spout is 7 3/4" wide. A Charming Antique English Staffordshire Figural Copper Lustre Pitcher- c.1880 Relief Molded with Polychrome Mother& Child DESCRIPTION An antique Staffordshire copper lustre figural cream jug. This is a delightful size. Just 5-1/2' high. A fine looking small size antique cream pitcher with high relief decoration of two figures. A mother and child on one side of the pitcher. This charming pattern of the molded figures of the mother and child is often found in a larger size, typically 8" high or larger. Unusual to find this delightful small size cream pitcher. The lustre is still bright and beautiful. A deep coppery coloring and quite reflective so it is difficult to see the relief work. Holding it in your own hands you can both see and feel the lovely molded designs and painted leaf decoration to the jug. There is also polychrome ... moredecoration on the mothers dress and the child clothing. The entire pitcher in fact has a relieft molded design of a tree. Even the handle is fashioned to appear like gnarled wood. The interior is copper lustre. This is circa 1880's. A Staffordshire England lustreware pitcher and shows good expected wear to the base and along the handle and spout rim. Still a Beauty! A wonderful antique copper luster pitcher to add to a ceramic collection. The pitcher is a warm copper color with a beautiful robin's egg blue double band. The decorations are simple but striking. The pitcher measures 5" tall x 6.5" from spout to handle. And 2 3/4" at the base. The overall condition considering its age is good. It has been lovingly used as there is minor wear on the mouth of the pitcher as well as the handle. There is also a slight hair line crack inside the pitcher.
