Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle ... moreextends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This is not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Because of the age of this item. It will be sold AS IS and returns not accepted. so if you have any questions at all about the condition of this piece, please be sure to ask before purchasing so there are no surprises. The image is pressed into the ironstone from the inside making a raised picture on the outside. Measurements: 7" high with 4-1/2" base. It is about 7-1/2" wide spout to handle. This beautiful basin made in 1890 in England. By"Ironstone" is in very good condition, the paint is nice and not chipped. It is a charming cream color, trimmed in beige/tan and has a colorful floral design. Please see pictures as it has a minor flaw. Its a crack/scratch, its hard to tell its close to top of the pitcher and you see can see it but its not deep( doesn't go through to other side or anything) could be fine crack or a deep scratch.A minor flaw does not dismiss the elegance of this pitcher, it is a beautiful piece of art work. Beautiful Ironstone wash basin date on bottom is 1890 England. Very nice condition with a green and creamy white coloring and scalloped edge. No chips or cracks and just a couple imperfections or spots which show in the last photos. This is a large basin measuring 16" diameter across the top with a 7" bottom diameter and stands 5 1/4" tall.

Sculptured Antique Replica of Ironstone England 1890 Pitcher and Wash bowl-VGC
For your consideration this replica of the English Ironstone 1890 washbowl and pitcher with an orange over white pattern. The sculptures in the pitcher represent querubs and muses. Very nicely done. The bowl is 13 1/8" in diameter and 3 1/2" deep. It has an uunnoticealbe chip on the rim(see last picture) that can be easily repaired. Otherwise the set is in very good condition. The pitcher is 10 1/2" tall by 10" wide at the top and 6 3/4" in the middle.

IT IS MY PLEASURE TO OFFER THIS GORGEOUS COBALT BLUE HAND PAINTED"IRONSTONE 1890 ENGLAND" LARGE PITCHER AND LARGE WASH BASIN. ALTHOUGH ITEMS ARE PRE-OWNED AND FROM AN ESTATE SALE. BOTH PIECES ARE STILL IN GREAT DISPLAYABLE CONDITION. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS FOR REPAIRS MADE BY PREVIOUS OWNER. THE LARGE WASH BASIN IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION. ITEM MEASURES 16" ACROSS TOP DIAMETER AND STANDS 4 1/2" HIGH. BEAUTIFUL DETAILED SCROLLING SURROUND INSIDE EDGE OF BOWL. TOP EDGE IS ALSO A TEXTURED SCROLL PATTERN. THE COBALT BLUE PAINT IS DARKEST AT TOP AND GRADUALLY LIGHTENS DEEPER INTO BOWL. THE INSIDE BOTTOM OF BOWL IS A LIGHTLY SPECKLED BLUE OVER CREAM COLOR. THIS PIECE IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION AND THE ONLY FLAWS I SEE IS ON THE BOTTOM EDGE ... moreRIMS WHERE 3 SMALL SPOTS ARE WITHOUT GLAZE AND I BELIEVE THESE WERE FROM THE PLACEMENT IN KILN WHERE BOWL WAS HELD. NO OTHER CHIPS. CRACKS OR CRAZING ARE VISIBLE. THE LARGE WATER PITCHER IS BEAUTIFUL ALSO IN THE COBALT BLUE COLOR. WHICH GRADUATES IN DARKNESS TO A LIGHTER SHADE NEAR GRAPHICS OF 2 WHITE GEESE WITH BRIGHT ORANGE BEAKS AND FEET. GEESE ALSO HAVE BLUE RIBBONS TIED AROUND THEIR NECKS. BACK OF PITCHER SHOWS A SMALL GRAPHIC OF SIMILAR GEESE. THE HANDLE ON THIS PITCHER HAS BEEN REPAIRED. I BELIEVE THE HANDLE HAS BEEN GLUED AT 3 DIFFERENT PLACES. HANDLE DOES APPEAR INTACT, HOWEVER I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ACTUAL USAGE OF CARRYING WATER! REPAIRS DO SHOW A FEW MINOR CHIPS IN PAINT BUT OVERALL, IS HARD TO SEE IF USING FOR DISPLAY. I HAVE SHOWN MANY PHOTOS SO PLEASE VIEW ALL OF THESE PRIOR TO BIDDING. I WANT YOU TO BE SATISFIED. THE PITCHER MEASURES 8 1/2" AROUND WIDEST PART OF BODY. WHILE BASE IS 4 5/8" PITCHERS STANDS 11 3/4" HIGH TO HIGHEST POINT ON SPOUT. PLEASE NOTE THE ONLY DAMAGE TO PITCHER IS THAT OF THE HANDLE.
