Antique Washbowl and Pitcher* This is a beautiful antique wash bowl and pitcher dated somewhere between the late 1800's and early 1900's. It is glazed white with a beautiful blue color and gold embellishments on the pitcher; there appears to be no crazing. There is a chip in the bowl which is pictured. The bottom of the pitcher and bowl are stamped(pictured above) It is a very large piece. The bowl measuring a 18" diameter at it's longest and the pitcher measures 12" I will be shipping the piece in two sep a rate boxes and will pack it as if it my very own to makes sure they arrive to you safely. Interesting fact for those who don't know: in 1900 the average household did not have bathrooms with sinks and bath tubs(those who did were very wealthy) so a bowl. Pitcher, and chamber pot were standard issue in most bedrooms ... moreand kept in a small cabinet called a commode. These were used for a"spit bath" about once a week since heating water was a very laborous task. This beautiful Victorian washbowl set is in excellent condition. There is one tiny chip in the washbowl edge less than the size of a pencil eraser tip. There is a hairline cracking running through the chamber pot. The pieces have some very faint and barely visible crazing. No other damage.

Vintage 4 piece Washbowl Set
I don't know much about this set. Other than it is quite old. It came to me from my husband's side of the family. His mom had it in her attic for decades. The set was made by the Sterling Porcelain Co. Unfortunately the set is missing the all-important pitcher and there are large cracks in the bottom of the basin and some slight ones on the rim of the basin. But the designs in the basin are quite nice. The set is green and white with some gold designs. Each piece has a beautiful glaze There appear to be areas that look as if the finish has worn away over the years. But those areas are smooth to the touch. Two of the three smaller pieces are intact with no visible chips or cracks that I could find. There is a chip on the underside of the taller piece which can not be seen unless you turn the piece over. See the last picture. The three ... moresmaller pieces would possibly make make nice vases! You can probably tell. I am NOT a dealer but I tried to describe the set to the best of my ability. As far as the photos go, most of the white spots are reflections of light. This is a beautiful set which include 8 ps including the insert for the soap dish.There is slight staining on the bottom of the bowl. There is a hairline crack at the top of the small pitcher.There is a small repaired chip on the outside lip ofthe bowl.

White China Ironstone Child Dishes Washbowl Pitcher Set /Salesman Sample (?)
It is amazing that this miniature washbowl and pitcher have survived as children usually played so rough with them. This pitcher has great detailing with a lovely twisted handle and beading radiating down from the lip. The bowl has the same beading along the rim. The pitcher is 4" tall and the bowl is 4 1/4" in diameter. They were originally decorated in a gold and brown/ tan paint. There are remnants of the paint on both items. You could remove the paint with paint remover if you wanted them solid white. There are no markings on the pieces so I am not sure of the age. The china or ironstone is fairly crudely made as is typical in dishes made for children. The inside of the bowl has a circular line and an open fissure but it still rings when pinged.

Fabulous antique OLD HALL1790 England wash basin pitcher. It is large.almost 12" tall. By 9" wide.9.5" from spout to handle. The base color os cream, with a winding floral vine.maybe a clematis? The soft pastels of the floral motif are very beautiful! Overall condition for age is very good.no cracks, chips.just very fine allover crazing.minor gold trim fading.see all my pictures.I am not sure if this is porcelain.but I think it is! Polychrome Washbowl and pitcher
The Water Pitcher has a sturdy wide handle with gold trim;the wavy rim has gold trim and flower design even on the interior of the lip.Large flowers adorn the sides in matches colors of cobalt blue. Light green, andrust with gold gilt highlights. There is also a raised design around thetop areas just above the blue/gold band. The base is numbered 302 in gold noother mark I could find. Standing 12 ½” at the tallest and 9 ¼” from spoutto handle. There is an invisible repair on the lip, as you can see in thephotographs the major shard that was out of the left half of the lip has been satisfactorily restored to it original beauty.

Which is a red transferware floral and repeating swirl pattern design with a neatly embossed or raised pointed ribbed pattern on the base of each piece. The set is in Very Good condition especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks in any of the pieces. The set consists of: A Wash Bowl or Basin. 14 1/2 inches across. They obviously wern't together in the beginning as they each are made by a different ironstone company but both companies existing in the late 19th century and early 20th century. The bowl is 15" accross and 5" high. Weighs 5.5lbs. Made by Mellor and Taylor Company, England in business from 1887-1904. The pitcher is 12" tall 24" around the largest part and weighs 3 lbs. This is a fantastic large pitcher and wash bowl set produced by the English company Cauldon Ltd. 1905-1920) in 1917. The pitcher stands over 12" tall and the wash bowl is in 16" diameter. There is a small surface hairline inside of the picture only in the white glaze-it does not extend to the exterior. This is in an remarkable damage-free condition with no chips and only minor wear showing in the base of the washbowl. This is a magnificent ironstone pitcher and wash bowl set by Edward Walley. Cobridge England. The pattern name is Star and Garter and it is a magnificent combination of teal and copper lustre. The pitcher is completely free of cracks, chips, or other damage and stands approximately 11 inches tall. It has no crazing! The wash bowl has just one chip on the underside of the rim accompanied by a stain and some normal expected crazing and is 13" wide by 4.5" high. It is Beautifully Designed with a Pair of Long Tailed Birds flying above oversized Colorful Flowers on one side of the pitcher and a group of flowers on the other side against a white porcelain background. The flower motif is carried through on the side of washbowl. The pitcher measures 13 1/4 inches tall and the bowl. Which has 10 sides, measures 16 inches across. This is an extremely beautiful antique washbowl and pitcher from 1890 in England. This beautiful set stands approx 13" tall. The washbowl is approx 16" across the top and 4" deep. Offered for auction is this two piece washbowl and pitcher from the late 1800's to early 1900's. It was made by Eururia and Mellor Co. of England. As marked. For its age it is in very good condition. Please see item description abpove. There are no cracks or chips. There has been some loss of gold paint on the bowl. It measures 13 inches high at the handle, and 12 inches at the spout. The body is 8 inches in width, and 11.5 inches from the handle to the spout. The base is 5-1/4 inches. The bowl is 16 inches wide, 3 inches deep and 6-3/4 inches at the base. It is made of thick porcelain, and the two items weigh a total of 12 pounds. The rose decorations are transfer decals, not hand painted. Sorry. But I must charge insurance calculated at the exact price the buyer pays for the item. Too many buyers won't pay for insurance, but ... morethen want their money back if the item is damaged. This auction is for a Fantastic Antique Polychrome Ironstone Pitcher and Wash Bowl set made by Mason's of England c1830 with a cleaver snake-shaped handle. It is in a Striking and Colorful pattern known by the number 9179. It depicts a Longtailed Exotic Bird flying in a garden among oversized flowers. The colors are hand applied under the glaze in deep hues of Green. Cobalt and Sky Blue, Orange,Yellow and Pink with a border of Iron Red and gold accents. With its large size and bold colors and art work. The Set Displays Wonderfully and will instantly become the Decorative Focal Point of Any Room. Both pieces have the early Mason's Patent Ironstone Crown and Ribbon mark. Which dates them to c1830 as well as a handwritten pattern number 9179. Lovely Antique Pitcher & Washbowl Set Blue Flowers Maddocks & Buffalo Pottery
This auction is for a Lovely Antique Pitcher and Washbowl in a Blue and White Floral Transfer Design. The pieces are made by two different manufacturers and are mismatched. But Displays Nicely together with similar colors and patterns. The pitcher. Which measures 11 inches tall, is made by Maddocks Lamberton Works of England. There are no chips or cracks or damage to the pitcher. The Bowl measures 17 inches across and is made by Buffalo Pottery in the Chrysanthemum pattern. There are no chips or cracks. There are several areas of discoloration- spots on the rim and an area down the side(see last two photos) Both pieces have crazing which is expected from items of this era and only adds to the character and authenticity. Buffalo Pottery Semi-Vitreous Chrysanthemum 5 I have for sale a pitcher and bowl of authentic Buffalo pottery semi vitreous chrysanthemum for sale. There is a 5 mark at the bottom of the pitcher and bowl. I bought this from an estate sale a couple of years ago and would like to sell them now. The pitcher measures 11.5 inches in height and 29 inches wide at its widest. The bowl measures 16 inches across and about 5 inches deep. A little brownish discoloration in side the pitcher as you would expect due to age. There is also a line that looks like a crack but isn't at the bottom of the pitcher. NOTE: I do not ship this item international due to is delicateness and weight. Please contact me before bidding if you are an international buyer.

This auction is for a Striking 5-Piece Antique Pitcher and Washbowl Chamber Set Beautifully designed in an Art Nouveau Pattern with a Unique Peach or Blush. Green and Yellow Luster Iridescent Glaze and made by Fieldings Devon Ware of Stoke on Trent England circa 1908. The set is in Very Good condition. Especially for its age, which dates to the early 1900s. The set Displays Wonderfully and will instantly become the Decorative Focal Point of any room. The set consists of: A Pitcher. 13 3/4 inches tall. No chips or cracks or damage; there is fine, even crazing and a very small area of gold accents loss to the lip. A Wash Bowl. About 16 inches across. No chips of cracks. There is crazing, some foxing spots primarily on one side and about half of the bowl is toned or discolored(see two last photos) A Chamber Pot. 10 1/2 inches across with the ... morehandle. No chips or cracks or damage; there is fine even crazing and some loss of gold accents. A Soap Dish with lid and drainage insert. No chips or cracks or damage; there is fine. Even crazing. A Toothbrush Holder. 6 inches tall. There are no chips; there is a 2 inch hairline from the lip(photo 10) and crazing. The glaze and nouveau styling of this set really sets it apart from others. The glaze changes the colors and appearance- like gasoline in a puddle- depending on the viewing angle. The washbowl. Pitcher, chamber pot have the Devon Ware Fieldings Stoke on Trent England Pearline backstamp in orange with the product line Pearline also marked.
