Offered is this gorgeous White Ironstone Pitcher in the Washington Shape. Also referred to as Alternate Sprigs. This piece features beautifully embossed flowers& large leaves, as well as a bud thumbrest. This piece was produced by Powell& Bishop in Hanley, England circa 1866, and retains their mark. This pitcher is in excellent overall condition. It has a tiny little line at the tip of the spout(see photos) But is otherwise excellent with no chips or cracks. ANTIQUE POWELL BISHOP IRONSTONE PITCHER MOSS ROSE PATRN
Offering this rare Antique Ironstone large creamer/pitcher made by Powell& Bishop China. Hanley, Staffordshire England between 1867 and 1878, their only years of existence. They had three factory locations referred to as Church Works, Staffordshire Works and Waterloo Works. It is beautifully decorated on two sides with a Moss Rose Pattern which was applied using the transferprint method they employed. It looks also as if it was"finished" with manual painting, maybe. The pitcher/creamer stands 6 inches tall and has no damage. Some of the gold trim has worn off but this would be normal considering its age. Items found today by this company are rare as we mostly find items done by its subseqquent company which was Powell, Bishop& Stonier. This is a very fine example of early English Ironstone China. Antique Pitcher - Powell Bishop & Stonier Oriental Ivy PB&S Porcelain China
This is just a gorgeous Antique Pitcher as you can see by the photos. I believe this type of decorated earthenware piece is call Transferware and that they used transfers to apply the design onto porcelain china or Ironstone pottery. It is so beautiful with many differennt vibrant colors and types of flowers. The handle has an oriental or bamboo design. On bottom is an impressed mark that looks like a B and a Triangle and Circle plus a blue logo of an Oriental Man sitting with an umbrella that has the words“ORIENTAL IVORIE” with a Y*I believe these are the marks of Powell Bishop& Stonier or PB&S from the late 1880’s. This Pitcher measures just over 6 inches tall. Condition is Excellent with no Crack or Chips although much of the Blue painted or applied rim on top and the handle has chipped off. 1879 Pitcher and Basin Powell Bishop & Stonier Kioto Pattern
This pitcher and bowl set is absolutely gorgeous. The Kioto transferware pattern is just so unique for this period. It's just fascinating. This is a full size set. The bowl is approximately 8.5 inches at base and a full 15.5 inches across at the top. It is approximately 5 inches high. The bowl does have one chip as clearly displayed in the pictures. As for the pitcher. It is approximately 11 inches high and approximately 9 inches across at its widest point. I feel the pictures clearly depict the condition of this 135 year old set. This is a most beautiful display piece. Please note that shipping is included in the cost. The set will be shipped in two separate packages.

Powell Bishop Ironstone China Pitcher - Great Size - EXCELLENT
This listing is for a"wonderful" Powell& Bishop'Ironstone China Pitcher' It measures about 9 1/2" high and from tip of spout to edge of handle it measures about 9" It has an oval shape to it and I believe you can see that in the pictures. This is a heavy piece so not too much danger of tipping over. This is a white color although it does have the appearance of a light gray depending on the light. This is in very good age-appropriate condition. There are no chips. Cracks, stains or crazing. There is some wear scratches near the roundest part of the pitcher where it probably touched something else. There are also a few discolorations.but those appear to be firing conditions. Please check photos and ask questions. This is truly a nice collectible and usable item.
