He’s probably best known for his work with South Jersey glassblower extraordinaire. August Hofbauer. He also worked for Kimble, Durand, Kessler, Wheaton, and Corning. Macho operated his own little shop in his back yard in Vineland. NJ between 1953 and 1971. A sponsor provided him with batch material to make high quality paperweights. Otherwise, Macho obtained materials where he could for as cheaply as possible. Much of this glassware was made from melted down beer bottles and soda bottles. As a result, the quality of his glass is often poor. The lilypad pitcher offered here is of excellent quality. It is amber in color. Stands 8 inches tall, and has all the lilypad pull-ups and threading intact, a rare find among Macho pieces. It stands on a plain foot with a pontil mark on the base. Antique F W Levy Imperial Limoges Cream Pitcher Circa 1920
This is a beautiful Limoges creamer made by the F W Levy Imperial Company. My research says that the F W Levy Company was in business from 1915 to 1920 in Limoges. France. The pitcher is in a very nice. Unknown pink rose pattern that is very similar to Haviland’s“Baltimore Rose” pattern. It is 5 ½” tall and 3 ½” in diameter at the base. It weighs 8.3 oz. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Even the gold trim on the handle show little if any wear. There is one dark speck on the side from manufacturing. As with any antique piece. You will see a few dimples or wrinkles in the porcelain that occurred during the manufacturing process. The Maker’s Mark on the bottom is very clear. See Photo) There is also an engraved hand mark“11” which may be a pattern number. But I’m not sure. This piece will make a very nice addition ... moreto anyone’s vintage Limoges collection. If you have any questions. Please e-mail me through E-bay’s“Ask A Question” feature at the bottom of this listing and I’ll try to answer immediately. Thank you for bidding! LOG-t’s Thoughts- First of all. Thank you for viewing my listing. I appreciate your interest. I’m not an on-line business. I’m just an old retired guy having a little fun selling stuff on line. Usually. The stuff I sell is used. Sometimes it’s used pretty hard. I try my best to describe the item’s condition in both words and pictures. I don’t make a big effort to clean items because many purchasers/collectors don’t like that. I’d rather leave that to the new owner. I’d like to be paid within 5 days of the close of the auction. Let me know if you need more time. I only accept payments via Pay Pal. I want you to be five-star satisfied with your purchase. That’s why I encourage you to ask questions before you bid. I’ll be happy to answer questions or send more pictures. I don’t end auctions early for offers. It’s not fair to bidders who wait expecting to bid at the end. circa 1840 -- Staffordshire Pottery -- blue transferware -- pitcher
This piece is just back from the Antiques Roadshow! Richmond. Virginia(August 17, 2013) was the final city on Season 18's"hunt for America's hidden treasures! The pitcher is approximately 8 9/16" tall. 10 7/16" wide(from pour spout to handle arc) and 7 ¼" deep(width of base bulge from front to back) It weighs approximately 36 ounces(or 2 pounds and 4 ounces) and is in very good condition. There is 1 flake/absence of color(¼" long) on the bulge of the pitcher when the handle is turned to the right. There are 4 chips on the handle visible when it is turned to the left: 2 are under glaze so are manufacturing flaws: 1/8" and 3/16" in sizes) and 2 are damage(3/8" and 3/16" in sizes) Please note there is crazing present. For those less familiar, crazing is a network of fine lines or ... morecracks that can develop on a fired glazed surface. It happens when a glaze is under tension. A craze pattern can develop immediately after removal from the kiln or years later from storage of an item in an extremely cold environment like an"ice box" early refrigerators) As a result of the crazing, there are some stains on the interior bottom and sides of the pitcher. What happens over time is the fat, like that found in milk, can work its way into the fine cracks. Eventually it will discolor/turn dark. For those interested. Discolorations can be removed by soaking a piece in a 40% hydrogen peroxide solution as found at beauty supply stores(used to help create those lovely blond highlights we love! The instructions to do this can be found at WorthPoint. The specific article is entitled"How to Remove Stains from your Antique China. Pottery and Porcelain. I chose not to do this with this particular piece because the bottom is not visible when displayed in my hutch. Unfortunately. This was not the"missing ceramic pitcher marked with a'C' that was worth a gazillion dollars to be showcased on the Antiques Roadshow! However. The professional Pottery and Porc

J&G Meakin Ironstone Water Pitcher - Block Optic - Hanley England - circa 1890
J&G Meakin"Block Optic" Ironstone pottery was produced by the Meakin Brothers both in plain white as well as with copper luster decoration. Offered is a huge white ironstone pitcher that epitomizes the tendency of that period toward squared. Angular shapes. Measuring a very generous 12" high(at tip of thumbrest) and with the distance between the spout and the handle being 9 1/2" the pitcher has a squared. Eight-panelled body with a pronounced waist that tapers gently as it moves up toward the slightly scalloped rim. Below the scalloping a narrow band in relief accentuates the neck's perimeter. Appropriately marked on the underside of the base with the pottery's signature in underglaze black print this pitcher was made by J. G. Meakin in their works at Hanley. Staffordshire some time between 1890 and 1914 Exact ... moredating is difficult as the Meakins did not register their shapes. Condition on the pitcher is excellent. For its large size. This pitcher has a very delicate and classy look. The glaze is in excellent shape, very shiny and translucent with a slight blueish tinge to it and no crazing. The white of the ironstone body is crisp and bright, unmarred by stains or other discolorations. As you can see in the pictures. This is a truly eye-catching piece of ironstone.

Antique Mask Lip Transfer Enameled Pearlware Pitcher circa 1790
Antique Mask Lip Transfer Enameled Pearlware Pitcher circa 1790. Fine Antique pearlware pitcher. Transfer printed in blue then enameled over the glaze in orange, pink and yellow. It has a mask lip spout painted in naturalistic colors. Applying damp inked tissue paper to the curved surface of a pitcher was a tricky business, as the various skips and mismatches of this pitcher show. You can see the blue tint of the pearlware glaze where the glaze pools near the handle or in the base. There is no maker's mark. By the manufacture and style, I would date this pitcher to 1790- 1800. The pitcher is 6 inches tall. The pitcher weighs 12 oz(shipping weight 2 lbs) Condition: Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Some rubbing of the brick colored glaze on the pitcher rim. Pratt Ware Pitcher - Fox Hunt Scene - Horses - Dogs - Antique - Circa 1860
Antique Pratt Ware 6" Pitcher with Fox Hunt Scene You are bidding on a lovely piece of matte finish English Pratt ware most likely dating circa 1860 with a highly desirable and graphic Fox Hunt motif. The pitcher measures approximately 6" tall and 5" from spout to handle. The diameter of the base is 4" The bottom is marked with a capital"H" The frieze around the circumference of the pitcher shows two scenes. The first scene is of horsemen and hounds chasing a fleeing fox. The second scene shows the riders at rest after the hounds have fallen on the fox. The frieze background is black with the scene in a mustardy yellow. At the top and bottom of the frieze are turquoise and gold striped. There is also gold striping around the pitcher's lip and handle. I try to be very picky and precise with my condition descriptions ... moreso that bidders know exactly what to expect. The piece is in very good condition wiht no cracks or chips. There is very slight wear to the gold trim. Negligible really for the piece's age. Since this pitcher is matte finish without shiny glaze, there is slight darkening, for example on the handle where the pitcher is held for pouring-commensurate with age. The bottom has two places where there are remnants of old adhesive, probably from felt pads. There is also what appears to be remnants of old rubber cement and a bit of what appears to be latex paint. I believe this is reversible and does not diminish the pitcher's overall very good condition for a piece most likely 150 years old. If you have any questions. Please contact me before bidding. I accept only PayPal payments. Payment within three days of the end of the auction is appreciated. Returns are not accepted. Shipment is within the US. I provide tracking for all items. I use only professional packing materials. I want my customers to be pleased with the process and happy with their purchases. Happy bidding and good luck!

Antique Doulton Lambeth Pitcher - Toby Scenes - 4.25" - Circa 1891
Antique Doulton Lambeth Small Pitcher with"Toby" Motif You are bidding on a Doulton Lambeth earthenware pitcher made between 1891 and 1901. I believe 1891 was the year"England" was added to the Doulton Lambeth mark and the mark was again changed in 1901 to add a Royal Warrant. The pitcher measures approximately 4.25" tall and 4.25" from belly to handle edge. The motif is in three Toby Character-styled raised tableau: a man enjoying a pint. A man enjoying a pipe with his terrier and a wrinkled older gent- probably just enjoying the day. Maybe the three ages of man. I try to be very picky and precise with my condition reports so you know exactly what you're bidding for. There are no cracks or chips. I would say the condition is very. Very nice. It is rough, utilitrian earthenware so there is going to be pitting ... moreof the glaze and places where the glaze is thinner or thicker. In the last photo I have tried to show an area in highlight on the pitcher's hip where there is a small collection of raised kiln grit and what appears to be a small glaze slip. I believe these date to the time of manufacture. The bottom is clearly marked.

Circa 1887 Antique Victorian White Ironstone Pitcher Transferware Jasmine Motif
For sale is an antique ironstone pitcher with ribbed upper band. Spout, and lower four corners. The pitcher is decorated front and back with a design called Jasmine, which was registered in 1887. It stands 7 3/8" at its tallest, 7" from tip of spout to outer edge of handle, and 4" deep. The pitcher is marked: Jasmine R. No. 75878 T.G. F.P. I think.it's very hard to read) There also is an old raised diamond-shape mark-not filled in, a stamped 3, and three incised letters that look like FCP. I have not been able to identify this maker, but I do believe it to be English. The pitcher is in very good condition: No chips or breaks. There's a tiny hairline where the handle attaches at the top and it looks like someone might have used a bit of glue in the seam between the handle and the pitcher; there are a couple of tiny pits ... morein the glaze; and the bottom rim is rough from many decades of sitting on hard surfaces. All-in-all in very good condition for its age. We have a smoke and perfume free environment. CONDITION NOTE: All of our items are vintage or antique. Circa 1840’s English ironstone transfer ware pitcher w/shells, seaweed, & coral
Circa 1840’s fabulous English ironstone transfer ware pitcher w/shells. Seaweed, coral This is a very fine early 19 th century English ironstone pitcher. It is dated to the 1840’s by the shape of the pitcher and the handle. It is not signed by the manufacturer but has some impressed marks: the number“3” and what looks like a chair or it could be a lower case“h” or“b” and a faint mark that could have been the manufacturer’s mark but it is too faint to discern. It measures 5” tall and 5” wide. The transfer decoration is ocean-themed: an arrangement of shells and seaweed on the body and a garland of coral around the inside and outside of the lip and on the handle. Condition: Other than typical wear to the finish from use. There are no chips or cracks. Large Rockingham Heron Pattern beer pitcher,Bennet Brothers,Baltimore Circa 1900
Large Rockingham Heron Pattern beer pitcher. Bennet Brothers, Baltimore Circa 1900 Pottery/Stoneware. What a great design from one of the best Rockingham style potters. With a perforated spout and deep tankard intake to keep the foam out of your beer! works like a fat separator) This pitcher is ½ gallon size and features a lovely signature glaze. Decorated with herons in a marsh, a bold band of acorns and oak leaves(elon in Hebrew) steer head spout, twig and snake form the handle- this one has it all-except the matching stoneware lid. The lid was fragile and often a victim when beer was ordered by the pitcher) Look at these photos- this is what you are buying. Almost perfect, there is a camouflaged chip off of a heron which occurred years ago. It is almost invisible without close inspection. There is also an age crack in the spout. Made ... morein Baltimore by the E W Bennet Brothers pottery.I figure 1900. The circa 1840's variety did not have the molded tabs to keep the lid on. This pitcher has great wear on the bottom but it retains the sheen and impact of the lovely matted Rockingham glaze. It could be earlier than 1900 or even a little later. Will make a great statement in your country kitchen or bar. Quality stoneware is a good investment.

EARLY COPELAND BLUE JASPERWARE HUNT SCENE CREAMER PITCHER CIRCA 1847-50 INCISED
This gorgeous antique blue Jasperware porcelain bisque creamer pitcher or"jug"has the name COPELAND in a straight line and the number 18 incised on the bottom dating it as an early circa 1847-50 piece. This lovely creamer pitcher stands 6 3/4 inches tall and measures 6 inches across from it's handle to it's spout. With an overall 3 1/2 diameter tapering up from it's 4 1/4 inch diameter base. This old pitcher has a beautifullly detailed hunt scene wrapping around it as shown in my series of photographs from all sides. This scene includes a rider on horseback with a second figure by the gate, multiple dogs, perhaps greyhounds, trees and other details which show this mid-ninteenth early Copeland from the days when W.T.Copeland first assumed the Josiah Spode factory and briefly before partnering with Garrett or his sons ... moreto be a true work of art preserved in exceptionally good condition for a piece of porcelain bisque this age.
