Johnson Bros England Royal Ironstone China Pitcher and Wash Basin Bowl -Matching
This is a very large antique Johnson Brothers Ironstone/Semi Porcelain Washbasin and Pitcher. The bowl measures 17 1/4 across and 4 1/2 inches high. The pitcher measures 9 inches across and 11 1/2 inches high. The tag on the bottom(as purchased) says circa 1890-1915. It is in very good antique condition with no cracks or chips on the pitcher and mild crazing consistent with age. The washbasin has no cracks but a tiny flea bite on the underside which is not visible from above. There are some scratches on the bottom of the bowl where the pitcher sits but again consistent with age. Considering this is around 100 years old it is in very good condition. The firm was well known for its white granite(undecorated ironstone) ware in imitation of contemporary French porcelain. Pitcher measure 12 inches tall at spout and bowl is 14.5 inches wide and 5 inches tall. Pitcher: under spout? stained or dirt and 2 tiny stains on side. See pictures. Basin/Bowl: few tiny spots?dirt. Se pictures I have not tried to clean it. Leave it up to the buyer. There are no cracks or chips and considering its age back to c 1890 is in excellent condition. No reserve!

Antique Wash Basin & Pitcher Ironstone Ironware Set Bowl Marked Flo Blue
This antique. Authentic wash basin and pitcher are made of ironstone, probably in the 1800's. The impressed makers mark is on the basin only. Two animals facing each other in between a shield. It could be a dragon or a lion facing a bird. It's hard to tell. Underneath it says Flo Blue 1850. The pitcher only has 1850. I realize this does not look like anything the term is used with today. I have not been able to find any information on this mark. My great aunt was a huge antique collector and this set came from her. She passed in 1968. The basin or bowl is 5" tall and 15 3/4" across. Both pieces have been glazed completely. The colors are cream and shades of brown mostly. With a reddish undertone in the center of the pitcher. The pitcher handle is 12" high and the body is 8" wide. It has a beautiful shape and the ... morepattern really accents the shape. Some photos are with a flash. It has been sitting in a garage apartment for almost 50 years untouched. I repaired a chip on the base of the pitcher. There are a few spots where the color is gone. Just flea bites and one place on the upper edge of the bowl. The bottom rims both show some signs of wear. The Flo Blue mark is something I personally have not seen. I believe this piece was made in England. I also believe the term flow blue has been used to describe a look and now is known as a process. To me. This set is evidence of a company or a manufacturer of that name. Some always cry forgery if they aren't familiar, but I don't believe a forger wouldn't use Flo Blue on a brown piece. It feels like this could be a piece of history that we have lost. If anyone knows anything about the mark and the Flo Blue name. I would love to know! Vintage Large IRONSTONE Pottery Goose/ Geese PITCHER WASH BASIN BOWL SET 16" You are bidding on a mid century Ironstone marked large pitcher and wash basin set. This item is in EXCELLENT condition for its age. NO chips or cracks that I have found. Shows nice age crazing to the glaze which only adds to the vintage look. This set is cream with tan accent. The pitcher has geese on both sides. Both pieces have ornate patterning around the edges and both are stamped on the bottom with the Ironstone emblem and name. I don't know much about this set. There are no marks on the items to indicate maker or year made. My research shows that the Ford Challinor Co. Wheat and Clover Pattern is the closest thing to this. But. I am not knowledgeable about ironstone, or the makers; so I can't say for sure. I spent a lot of time researching this already, so I have to give up trying to identify it. I leave it to you- the experts- to determine what this is, and bid top dollar for the delight of possessing this unique set. The pitcher weighs about 4 pounds and is 11.5 inches tall. Wood Wash Basin Stand Description This is for a vintage dark wood wash basin stand with mirror. Ironstone wash basin, and pitcher. The stand has towel holders on both sides(original) as well as candle holders. The stand has some nicks and scratches on the bottom where the pitcher stands, the basin hole, and the right candlestick holder arm. The Ironstone basin has one chip on the rim and some discoloration on the inner bottom(shown in picture) The pitcher has some rust stains on the inside(shown in picture) but is simply beautiful outside. The image of the flowers is on two sides. The mirror is not completely clear like a new mirror. The light has to be just right to see it. Antique T. Furnival& Sons Pitcher Description: Gallon size pitcher holds 1.6 gallons of water. 200 ounces. 25 cups of liquid) Both pieces are from British potter located in Staffordshire. T. Furnival& Sons. 1851-1890) Pitcher is stamped with pottery mark and also has hand painted numbers on the base. Decor pattern with lustre is called MESSINA. Pitcher has moulded Acanthus leaves on the handle. Transferware print is a stylized"Italian Renaissance" decor pattern. Lustre finish is done in a golden colour with nice iridescent hues. The pitcher is 13-5/8" tall. The rim is 5-1/2" x 5-3/4" diameter. Low footed base is 5" diameter. 7-1/2" wide at best. The wash basin is 5-1/4" tall. Rim is 16-7/8" diameter.
