Measures 6 1/8" wide from the spout to the opposite side by 5 1/8" from handle to opposite side by 2 3/8" tall. Base rim is 2 1/4" diameter. Cup opening at the top has a scalloped edging and inside 5 strainer holes that lead out to the spout for pouring and feeding into person's mouth. Plain white porcelain without any decorations or colorations. Condition is as you see in the photos. The while porcelain china has crackle which is typical with old age. NOTE: at the spout tip there are a few tiny nips on the end. I tried to photograph but it was difficult because so small and underneath. There is also a hairline inside the cup bowl at top that does not extend to outside so it may be original to when the feeder cup was made. A few knot imperfections also from time it was made. Small marks. Rub and scuff on base rim. Feeder cup is not dated. However, you can tell by the maker's mark, crackle, and aging that it is old. I am estimating circa 1900 and could be a bit earlier like late 1800's I just can't be sure. It is pre-owned, old and was used so buyer will be someone who understands current condition and is ok with it. Item is being sold“as is” as was found. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This is not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Because of the age of this item. It will be sold AS IS and returns not accepted. so if you have any questions at all about the condition of this piece, please be sure to ask before purchasing so there are no surprises. Elegant Antique White Pitcher~Royal Ironstone~Johnson Bros England
Tall water pitcher standing 12.5" from base to the flower on the handle tip. No major flaws of cracks or chips evident. There's a very small manufacturing flaw under the glaze near the base and one fleck of wood ash on the side. Yes, these beautiful antique pieces were produced with heat from an open wood fire. When held to a strong light, there's evidence of very light minor scratching. Johnson Brothers began manufacturing in 1883 in the Staffordshire district in the Hanley settlement and this would have been one of their earliest patterns as this tall, slim with rounded base style was produced in the 1880s and 1890s. Large old white ironstone pitcher with manufacturer markings on the base: Burgess& Co. Royal China” around a crown logo. This piece measures 12 ½ inches tall from base to lip. The base diameter is 4 ¼ inches. It has nicely molded details around the neck and handle. We believe the markings indicate this piece to date back to the circa 1903- 1910 era, but you may know more about antique ironstone ware than we do. Antique Royal Ironstone China pitcher made my Alfred Meakin. England between 1883 and 1913. It has a transfer on both sides of a transfer of a rose on a stem with leaves and ferns and another plant with smaller leaves behind. The pitcher measures 6 1/4" tall x 5 1/2" from the end of the spout to the tip of the handle and is 4" wide at the widest part. It has a hairline crack in the bottom, but it does hold liquid. And, it has a chip on the edge on the bottom. The rest of the pitcher has no defects. Some of the hand painted gold on the edge of the spout has some wear. There are no cracks, chips breaks on the rest of the pitcher. There is no crazing.

A lovely mid 19th Century 5" white ironstone pitcher. Dates between 1840s and 1890s. Made by Burgess and Goddard. Under the handle. There is a bow design. So charming! No chips or cracks or crazing. Antique Royal Ironstone China: Johnson Bros Pitcher & Meakin Basin Exquisite!
This is antique Royal Ironstone China: a Johnson Brothers large white water pitcher and an Alfred Meakin basin/bowl. Both items were made in the late 1800's in England and are signed only"England. This designates an earlier production as opposed to"Made in England. a modern production marking. The large Johnson Brothers white water pitcher is 13" tall. 9" across at widest point, and has a raised pattern on the handle and around the handle attachment. The Alfred Meakin basin/bowl is white and measures 14 3/4" diameter and 5" tall. Both pieces are in excellent condition with NO chips. Cracks, or crazing. Great Collector's Items! Antique 6 1/4 inch ribbed pitcher. Ironstone China Warranted. Nice vibrant colors. Does have some wear. But no chips, cracks, or repairs. Top opening is just under 3 inches.
