A nice vintage pitcher with a colorful floral pattern that was made in Germany.The pitcher is in very good condition there are no chips. Cracks or crazing. The golt trim that was on the rim is mostly worn off. The floral pattern is clear and sharp no apparent wear.Smaller florap pattern on back shows no wear.The pitcher is marked Germany on the base in gold. This auction is for a Lancaster of Hanley England cream pitcher with copper luster accents. It is a little creamer pitcher which stands about 2 1/2 inches tall inches tall and is in very good condition. I know it looks like there is a red dot on the copper rim, but that is a reflection from the red eye on my camera's auto light sensor. There is no such spot actually on the pitcher.

Antique Relief Pitcher c. 1850's 6" high. 5" from spout to handle Lovely old pitcher- with fancy eared handle and thumb spur. And intriguing dancing pair in Elizabeth en dress. In excellent condition. no stains. No chips or flakes, etc. One side of the handle has a 1/4" of kiln separation. See photo graphs c lose-up. The interior has a faint blue appearance. With minute blue speckles in the clay body. The interior glaze has some very pretty and mild crazing. Some underglaze kiln dust on the body in two places. ANTIQUE PARIAN WARE/STONEWARE PITCHER 11" TALL WITH HIGH RELIEF DECORATION
Magnificent antique parian ware pitcher cast in high relief with grapes and grape leaves and allegorical figures around the middle in drunken splendor. A bit naughty however. As one of the male figures is pinching the buttocks of his companion and the scene around the entire piece appears to represent debauchery and drunken fun. The grapes and leaves around the top portion are finely represented and detailed. The handle is moulded to represent grape twigs. As far as damage goes there is a chip off the inside of the lip of the jug approximately one inch and is not very noticiable. There is a hairline crack to the inside of the pitcher not seen from the outside. Also one of the faces of the figures is totally missing and I think that was done in the manufacturing process. There is a little brown staining on the top grapes in a couple of places, ... morebut again, very slight. Unmarked on the bottom except for the numbers 6 over 49. I am not familiar with this type of ware so maybe an expert out there can fill in the manufacturer and date. I do know that this piece is old as it was purchased many years ago. Buffalo Pottery Set I am proud to present a beautiful antique Chamber set consisting of a wash bowl. Large pitcher, small pitcher, and what I beleive may be a soap bowl. The pattern is"Cairo" with lovely Old World roses and was manufactured from 1905 to 1916. On the underneath side of each piece states that the item is Buffalo Pottery and has the Buffalo symbol. See picture of stamp. The set has no chips. Cracks, breaks or repairs. There is typical crazing present in all 4 pieces, with the wash bowl having the most crazing. Antique Decorated Ovoid Redware Pitcher; 19th Century Mottled Folk Pottery old
This time we have an early piece of decorated redware pottery in very good. Well-preserved condition. Dating to the middle 19th Century, this lead glazed pitcher has beautiful coloring that was achieved through the use of oxides. It's primarilly green inside and out with mustard and orange colored mottling all over. On the interior, the green turns to mustard at the bottom third of the piece where the surface is worn from use. On the exterior, an area that varies from 3/4 inch to 2 inches from the bottom wasn't glazed, nor was the underside. The original red clay surface was left exposed and an old, grungy patina resulted from past use and the passage of time. Carved into the bottom are the initials"A.S. In addition, this old piece has whimsical, white-yellow floral decorations on opposite sides, adding even more folksy charm. ... moreThe exterior glaze shows wear and tear. Mostly surface scratches from coming in contact with other items. Also, there are a pair of contact marks where it was touching other pieces while being fired. As mentioned earlier, the interior has some loss of glaze but the clay surface is not eroded. Glaze was also worn off on the opening rim and the edges of the handle. There are only a couple of old chips on the rim, none elsewhere. While writing this description we noticed a 2 1/2" line in the back, under the handle, that looks like a very tight hairline. It doesn't appear to go all the way through to the interior and can't be felt when running a finger or fingernail across it. While we like to fully disclose all flaws to the best of our ability, these are really just indicators of heavy use and are helpful in authentication. Redware pottery was used for common, everyday purposes; it was not considered anything special. Surviving examples are often found with significant damage so this early pitcher was well cared for throughout its history. Heavier than it looks, this piece is solid, rugged, and structurally sound. Offered is a beautifully embossed White Ironstone Tall Pitcher or Ewer in the Hanging Basket Shape. This lovely pitcher is a more square shape with embossed flowers on a vine. Flowing from a hanging basket. It also has a ribbed handle with a beaded thumbrest. It was produced by Thomas Furnival& Sons in Cobridge, England circa the 1880's, and retains their mark. This piece has a tight. Light hairline on one side of the spout(see photos) and some light crazing. It is otherwise excellent with no chips. There is a crack at the top that is on the inside that has not made it's way to the outside of pitcher. Also a photo of a darker drip at bottom of handle.looks like maybe when made? not sure.
