Pitcher (Water) and Wash Basin bowl, English, Vintage, Falcon Ware, large
Vintage Pitcher and Wash Basin(could be from early 1900's) FALCON WARE. Made in England. Condition is excellent; value in set. Pitcher is 11.5 inches high to the highest point of spout. Bowl has 16.5 inch diameter which includes 1 1/4' lip all around. To my knowledge it has not been broken or repaired. I can not guarantee but I seen no evidence otherwise. The top glaze has fine lines in it as I'd expect from old porcelain. Inside the pitcher on its' floor one can feel some roughness about 1/2" ound. The pattern is captivating. See photo of cottage. The English cottage is repeated in various spots alternating with a flower bouquet. The pitcher on the bottom is engraved with MADE IN ENGLAND it is stamped with the same stamp on the bottom of the bowl where it is legible. The handwritten numbers on the pitcher base are 4 ... more8 5 0. and a handwritten floating"16" The bowl stamp is quite legible with FALCON WARE ENGLAND And a cursive capital LG intertwined. Looks like what is on the bottom of the pitcher but fainter and partially there on the pitcher. The gold trim seems very intact. Normal wear but actually less than normal wear to me. I see a touch worn off the handle but it's charming as I'd expect it there. The bowl also has the floating 16(or is it 10? Background color best described as Creamy. This set is charming. Wonderful decorative piece. Not too fragile, large for a statement, and a pattern that could go in most informal spots. I used this in a very contemporary home! I was told these old wash basins were seldom marked because they were considered utilitarian. The one I found on Ebay that looked almost identical was described as an antique. 1800’s. I really don’t know how old it is or anything about it. But will describe it as best I can. It came from an estate. The bowl measures 16 ½”across and 5” tall. The pitcher is ~13” tall and ~10” wide. It appears to be hand painted with yellow roses and green leaves. It has a“separation”crack on the bottom of the bowl. It appears to be a flaw in manufacture. Presented for sale is a lovely circa 1979 Signed"Bk" Earthenware wash bowl and pitcher. The set is decorated with a Raised pattern. Of Men in a pub Drinking Ale and are being served by bar maids. The other side of the pitcher, A Man on a horse trying to out run a woman. The Color is Unique. The overall color is like a sea shell, Pearly in Color with brushes of blue. Bottom of the Bowl says, To Donna + Paul" signed BK 1979. The bowl and pitcher are in Good condition. A couple of minor chips, on the underneath of the bowl. No discoloration, nor evident of crazing. Up for sale is an antique Anchor Pottery Wash Bowl and Pitcher Set. This pottery company was located in Trenton. New Jersey. It was later purchased by Stangl. The pitcher and bowl are in very good condition. There are just a couple tiny flea bites on the edges. The two small vases have chips at the base, but the other sides display very well. This set is made of semi-porcelain. It is large and very sturdy. The bowl measures almost 16 inches in diameter with a height of 5 inches. The pitcher has a height of 11 inches and is 11 inches from handle to spout. The small bowl measures 5.25 inches in diameter by 2.25 inches in height. It has a ring inside so that the soap is raised for drying. This piece bears the Anchor Pottery hallmark. The rest of the pieces are unmarked. This beautiful vintage pitcher and wash bowl were made in Spain in 1986. The delicate pink tulips with green leaf petals were painted by hand so each flower is slightly unique and hand crafted. The bowl measures 15"x4 1/2" and the pitcher measures 13"x9"x7" The wash bowl has two tiny chips on the edge. Hardly noticeable and there is some grog or kiln shelf material that fused into glaze, at firing, in the bowl, tiny specs. The pitcher looks to be perfect. Water Pitcher and Wash Bowl Basin Lovely Set with all the Sky Blue Transfer ware Flowers Hunter Green Leaves trimmed with a Burgundy for the stems And the Sun Yellow centers There is a ring of 14 k that runs the rim of the bowl which only shows one or two wear spots On the outside of the bowl it has a pattern in the porcelain ribbed ring runs in a circle with another 14k ring of gold around the foot of the bowl. Marked on the bottom with the makers mark Keystone Condition of the bowl: You will see crazing and some staining in that crazing. If you do not like the staining which is part of the age I know a recipe to clean it out. NO BLEACH) I personally do not do this but have seen it done and it works on most every stain The bowl has no cracks chips or hairlines and is in Excellent Vintage Condition THE PITCHER: It matches the bowl perfect ... moreand with all the same. Three gold bands, one on the rim, neck and around the foot. 3 or 4 wear spots on the gold rim of the pitcher is the only wear I say to the gold The handle at one time had gold but that appears to be nearly worn away Marked on the bottom with the Keystone makers mark Inside the pitcher you will see in the photo's there is a chip in the very bottom all the other things you see in the photo for inside the pitcher are stains but no other damage I could find with my fingers The pitcher has crazing as the bowl has. I have given you a photo of a craze line from the rim headed down this goes on both sides. Crack or craze the pitcher is holding well. Beautiful old vintage white wash pitcher & basin/bowl Blue trim an tulip flowers
Both pieces are white with blue trimming design painted on. The front center has a painted picture of a beautiful bunch of tulips. There are no chips cracks or fractures. Material is ceramic/porcelain. Very thick an heavy. I couldn't find any identifying marks. From floor to highest point is approximately 14" Bowl/basin is 16" across. Ceramic Pitcher& Water Bowl Set This is ivory with flowers on the the pitcher. Not sure of the maker. No markings on the bottoms. Pitcher stands 8.5 inches tall. Is 4 inches in diameter(round opening) 4 3/4 inches wide from inside opening to spout. Bottom of pitcher is 6 inches in diameter. Bowl is 10.5 inches diameter. Medium Size. Large Vintage White w Blue/Gold Design Ceramic Water Pitcher and Wash Bowl Set
For your consideration. I have this Large Vintage White Ceramic Water Pitcher and Wash Bowl Set. It was hand crafted in 1977 by JJ from Oregon. The bowl measures approximately 13" across and 3 3/4" tall/deep. The pitcher measures approximately 9" across from spout to edge of handle. Pitcher is approximately 10" Tall at highest point. Bottom of pitcher measures 5" across. This set is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, breaks. There is no crazing on either the pitcher or bowl. The pitcher has cherubs depicted on both sides of bowl one side blowing a horn the other gazing backwards. There is blue shading on the pitcher around cherubs and raised scene and around raised wreath that is strung around the lip of the wash bowl. I know nothing about this other than it is very pretty. It was given to me by a relative who passed away years ago and I've had it for about 35 years. Unfortunately I have no place to display it and see no reason to continue storing. The pitcher is about 5 inches tall and the base is about 2 1/2 inches across. The bowl is about 7 inches across. It has gold trim and pink& yellow roses. Both pieces are marked in red on bottom with"E2360" and a foil label that says"Japan by Adrian" I see no chips or cracks. It does look like some of the paint has worn off the edges of the handle. Please no international bidders. I ship only in the US and by Priority mail via USPS. VINTAGE IRONSTONE WASH BOWL BASIN AND PITCHER WASH BOWL IS ABOUT 11" IN DIAMETER AND 3" HIGH THE PITCHER IS ABOUT 8.25" TALL TO THE TOP OF THE HANDLE AND ABOUT 6.5" FROM HANDLE TO SPOUT. There is a hairline crack in the bowl. I took a picture of it inside and out. see the last two pictures. There is a black"cinder" from firing on the handle of the pitcher. There is a factory flaw on the spout that is under the color and glaze. I took pictures of these issues also. There are no chips. The pitcher has nice delicate curves around the top and on the handle. It is signed arnels on the bottom. The bowl is the same color and has curves around the edge. It is signed chas on the bottom. I purchased these as a set at an estate sale in the 80’s and displayed them together in my shabby chic bathroom. Pitcher is just under 7.25" at its tallest point. Excellent Vintage Ironstone USA Cobalt Blue Floral Transfer Wash Bowl & Pitcher
This is an excellent matching set including a wash pitcher and bowl with rich cobalt blue around the edge and bottom of the bowl and around the top. Bottom, and sides of the pitcher, and blue floral transferred images on the front and back of the pitcher. Both have ornate beaded floral details molded into the edges. They are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, but there might be very light, faint crazing in spots and there is one tiny speck of glaze missing from the edge of the bowl(last photo) The pitcher measures 12" H x 9" from handle to spout, and the bowl measures 15 1/2" in diameter x 4 1/4" H. They will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.
