Purple and White with a guardian angel watching over the children crossing a dangerous plank bridge. The transfer is so beautiful. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is some minor crazing on the pitcher. This is a larger set. The bowl measures 16 inches diameter and stands 4.5 inches. The pitcher measures 9 x 9 x 12 inches. Antique Large Ironstone Ceramic Floral Wash Pitcher Estate Find Search Nice estate find a large(11 inch tall) wash pithcer(unfortunately no basin) I spoke to family member who said it belonged to his grandmother and he was in his 60's so am assuming it is quite old. Thought it may be ironstone but possibly just a very heavy ceramic. Decorated with a nice floral display it is not marked so dont know a whole lot about it except it is quite old. as I will gladly combine shipping on multiple purchases. Antique White Ironstone Wash Basin Chamber Pitcher Burgess& Campbell This is a wonderful. Rare all white toiletry or wash pitcher, manufactured during the 1903 to 1910 time frame, which stands 12 inches tall and is 8 inches in diameter at its widest part. The pitcher carries the back stamp of the Burgess& Campbell Company, which is a crown in a circular ring with the words, Royal China above the crown. Noted by both Edwin Barber's book, U.S. Marks on Pottery and Lois Lehner's volume, U.S. Marks on Pottery, Porcelain, And Clay, the Burgess and Cambell name, under the crown trademark, was replaced by the name, International when the company formed new business partnerships in 1903. The International Pottery Company was one of a large number of potteries formed in the Trenton area during the late 1800's that became known ... moreas the Staffordshire of America. In over-all marvelous condition for its 100+ years of age. There are no cracks, chips, or nicks. We do note that there is crazing to some areas and a yellowing/staining of the white porcelain, where over the years, minerals from the water have seeped through the porcelain. This staining on the pitcher is by the handle, at the top of the pour spout, and a small area below the pour spout. If you have been looking for a seldom found pitcher from a well-respected and old pottery. Antique 1800's John Edwards Victory Ironstone Wash Set
This a nice wash set by John Edwards that includes a pitcher. Wash bowl, chamber pot and shaving cup that has some damage but still displays very nice. All of the pieces have a beautiful dolphin handle. The pitcher has a crack at the top of the handle but it is hard to see in the pictures, it has no chips. The pitcher is 12" tall. The chamber pot has two chips on the under side of the lid and one chip on the rim of the pot, it has no cracks. The pot is about 6.5" tall with the lid on. When the lid is on the chips can't be seen. The bowl has no chips or cracks. The bowl is 14" in diameter and 4" tall. The shaving cup is 3.5" in diameter and 3.25" tall. Lovely antique white ironstone pitcher and bowl. Mark on the bottom identifies it as by Edwin Bennett Pottery Co. of Baltimore MD. Both pieces are marked. Although the mark on the pitcher is very light at this point in time. Both bowl and pitcher have staining and mild crazing(please see photos) There is a hairline crack near the top of the bowl(I have provided two views of the crack- one from the interior of the bowl and one from the exterior) There are also three small marks/ dots on the interior of the bowl. I believe that these are from the way in which the bowl was set to dry following the glazing process. There are also a few scratches in the bottom of the bowl simply from use. The firm was well known for its white granite(undecorated ironstone) ware in imitation of contemporary French porcelain. Pitcher measure 12 inches tall at spout and bowl is 14.5 inches wide and 5 inches tall. Pitcher: under spout? stained or dirt and 2 tiny stains on side. See pictures. Basin/Bowl: few tiny spots?dirt. Se pictures I have not tried to clean it. Leave it up to the buyer. There are no cracks or chips and considering its age back to c 1890 is in excellent condition. No reserve!

Antique Ironstone Wash Basin Chamber Pitcher Burgess & Campbell Trenton, NJ
This is a wonderful. Rare all white toiletry or wash pitcher, manufactured during the 1903 to 1910 time frame, which stands 12 inches tall and is 8 inches in diameter at its widest part. The pitcher carries the back stamp of the Burgess& Campbell Company, which is a crown in a circular ring with the words, Royal China above the crown. Noted by both Edwin Barber’s book, U.S. Marks on Pottery and Lois Lehner’s volume, U.S. Marks on Pottery, Porcelain, And Clay, the Burgess and Cambell name, under the crown trademark, was replaced by the name, International when the company formed new business partnerships in 1903. The International Pottery Company was one of a large number of potteries formed in the Trenton area during the late 1800’s that became known as the Staffordshire of America. We do note that there is crazing to some areas and a yellowing/staining of the white porcelain, where over the years, minerals from the water have seeped through the porcelain. This staining on the pitcher is by the handle, at the top of the pour spout, and a small area below the pour spout. If you have been looking for a seldom found pitcher from a well-respected and old pottery. This piece will do marvelously well as a focal point for an Early Americana display with its classic Victorian style and embossed shell and scroll treatment. This beautiful basin made in 1890 in England. By"Ironstone" is in very good condition, the paint is nice and not chipped. It is a charming cream color, trimmed in beige/tan and has a colorful floral design. Please see pictures as it has a minor flaw. This antique. Authentic wash basin and pitcher are made of ironstone, probably in the 1800's. The impressed makers mark is on the basin only. Two animals facing each other in between a shield. It could be a dragon or a lion facing a bird. It's hard to tell. Underneath it says Flo Blue 1850. The pitcher only has 1850. I realize this does not look like anything the term is used with today. I have not been able to find any information on this mark. My great aunt was a huge antique collector and this set came from her. She passed in 1968. The basin or bowl is 5" tall and 15 3/4" across. Both pieces have been glazed completely. The colors are cream and shades of brown mostly. With a reddish undertone in the center of the pitcher. The pitcher handle is 12" high and the body is 8" wide. It has a beautiful shape and the ... morepattern really accents the shape. Some photos are with a flash. It has been sitting in a garage apartment for almost 50 years untouched. I repaired a chip on the base of the pitcher. There are a few spots where the color is gone. Just flea bites and one place on the upper edge of the bowl. The bottom rims both show some signs of wear. The Flo Blue mark is something I personally have not seen. I believe this piece was made in England. I also believe the term flow blue has been used to describe a look and now is known as a process. To me. This set is evidence of a company or a manufacturer of that name. Some always cry forgery if they aren't familiar, but I don't believe a forger wouldn't use Flo Blue on a brown piece. It feels like this could be a piece of history that we have lost. If anyone knows anything about the mark and the Flo Blue name. I would love to know! BOTH PIECES ARE STILL IN GREAT DISPLAYABLE CONDITION. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS FOR REPAIRS MADE BY PREVIOUS OWNER. THE LARGE WASH BASIN IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION. ITEM MEASURES 16" ACROSS TOP DIAMETER AND STANDS 4 1/2" HIGH. BEAUTIFUL DETAILED SCROLLING SURROUND INSIDE EDGE OF BOWL. TOP EDGE IS ALSO A TEXTURED SCROLL PATTERN. THE COBALT BLUE PAINT IS DARKEST AT TOP AND GRADUALLY LIGHTENS DEEPER INTO BOWL. THE INSIDE BOTTOM OF BOWL IS A LIGHTLY SPECKLED BLUE OVER CREAM COLOR. THIS PIECE IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION AND THE ONLY FLAWS I SEE IS ON THE BOTTOM EDGE ... moreRIMS WHERE 3 SMALL SPOTS ARE WITHOUT GLAZE AND I BELIEVE THESE WERE FROM THE PLACEMENT IN KILN WHERE BOWL WAS HELD. NO OTHER CHIPS. CRACKS OR CRAZING ARE VISIBLE. THE LARGE WATER PITCHER IS BEAUTIFUL ALSO IN THE COBALT BLUE COLOR. WHICH GRADUATES IN DARKNESS TO A LIGHTER SHADE NEAR GRAPHICS OF 2 WHITE GEESE WITH BRIGHT ORANGE BEAKS AND FEET. GEESE ALSO HAVE BLUE RIBBONS TIED AROUND THEIR NECKS. BACK OF PITCHER SHOWS A SMALL GRAPHIC OF SIMILAR GEESE. THE HANDLE ON THIS PITCHER HAS BEEN REPAIRED. I BELIEVE THE HANDLE HAS BEEN GLUED AT 3 DIFFERENT PLACES. HANDLE DOES APPEAR INTACT, HOWEVER I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ACTUAL USAGE OF CARRYING WATER! REPAIRS DO SHOW A FEW MINOR CHIPS IN PAINT BUT OVERALL, IS HARD TO SEE IF USING FOR DISPLAY. I HAVE SHOWN MANY PHOTOS SO PLEASE VIEW ALL OF THESE PRIOR TO BIDDING. I WANT YOU TO BE SATISFIED. THE PITCHER MEASURES 8 1/2" AROUND WIDEST PART OF BODY. The pitcher is 12' high and 9' in diameter at the widest. Pitcher has sigh"Pinky Laurence" picture#2. Inside the pitcher hair thin line and manufacture defects. SHE COLLECTED LOTS OF PORCELAIN AND CHINA PIECES PLUS CRYSTAL. THIS IS STAMPED ENGLAND ON THE BOTTOM AND LOOKS OLD.
