VINTAGE EARLY 20th C. ENGLISH SADLER & CO PITCHER W/ PEWTER LID
Antique English pewter-lidded pitcher. Made by Sadler& CO. Marked SADLER BURSLEM ENGLAND. This interesting and beautiful pitcher is made of pottery(earthenware) but is painted to look as if it were porcelain. I understand that this treatment of a pottery item as unusual. The lid is pewter and features a thumb tab set in a floral design. There is a crease in the front of the lid, but it is otherwise intact. The body of the pitcher is painted in two colors, dark blue(usually referred to as cobalt) on the top half and light blue on the bottom half. It is decorated with daisy-like flowers and has gold gilt lines around the waistline and bottom of the pitcher. As well as where the stylized light blue handle attaches to the pitcher. The bottom and inside are brown, the natural color of the pottery. The pitcher is about 7.5 inches tall from ... morebase to top of the thumb tab and is about 4 inches across the base, tapering upward. I am not an expert and I have relied on research to describe this item as accurately as I can. I have no real idea about the age of the item. But I have been told that it is likely from 1895 to 1920 because the tariff act enacted in 1921 required the words"Made in England" to be used on items produced from that time on. This very unusual. Exceptional piece will a great addition to your collection or provide a starting point for your new one! I combine shipping and ship within one business day of receipt of your cleared payment. Thanks for looking!

ANTIQUE LENOX PORCELAIN PITCHER LID STERLING OVERLAY FLOWERS ART NOUVEAU
Description: This auction is for an antique Art Nouveau Lenox hard porcelain flowered sterling overlay pitcher with lid. The Lenox mark on the bottom was first used in 1906. the mark of the silver maker is on the bottom as well. The pitcher is marked sterling on the side under the handle near the bottom. The pitcher measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid. The base 4 inches wide, the width from handle to side 5 inches. The pitcher is in good condition for it's age; no repairs. But there are two hairlines, one at the bottom of the handle's right side& another to the left bottom side of the handle. The hairlines are both smooth to the touch. There is one small rough area that looks like some sterling or glue, when you look at the photo#8 you may notice, or not, near the top middle of the flowers. It is not ... morea chip& there is one other area on the handle that appears to be a loss of sterling rather than a chip. There is one small black dot under the handle that appears to have been caused in the making. Just covering all the bases, this is a rare find& a beautiful piece. The sterling could use a good cleaning. Please make sure prior to bidding that you have read the description. Doma Fama Alba china transferware pitcher white with blue florals So pretty!
Do you love blue and white? Here is a beautiful antique pitcher for you! It's a large pitcher.Probably from a wash stand set. THe pitcher stands about 11 1/4 inches high and is about 8 to nine inches at its widest point. It is sparkling clean inside and out and looks like it was rarely used. Stamp on bottom reads Doma Fama Alba China Graceful handle and shape with flowers all over(see pics) Light crazing all over gives it character. There is one chip near the lip or spout which I tried to photograph but as it is in the white area it is very hard to capture. Overall it is in great shape for its age and is bright and crisp-perfect for an arrangement of fresh flowers. On larger items such as this I can ship parcel post but you must request it before the invoice is paid. Send request through My Messages in Ebay.

Large Antique Cattails Relief Molded Salt Glaze Pitcher Ridgway Imposing Size
Elegant. White matte pitcher with natural cat tails design. Now hard to find. Among my grandmother’s treasures was a collection of Relief Molded and Parian Pitchers. This white. Matte glazed pitcher was her favorite and was always displayed in a position of prominence on her oak sideboard. From the research we have done on the internet. It was most probably made by Ridgway of England, although the bottom marks are cryptic to us. They consist of numbers 7 and 93; and the letter S. Like all of my grandmother’s pitchers. It is probably dated around the mid-19 th Century. The design of the cat-o-nine tails and leaves is really elegant. They appear to be gracefully swaying in the wind. As a little girl. My grandmother lived on the bay near a salt marsh and clearly this pitcher reminded her of her New England childhood in the early 1900s. The exterior ... moreappears to be matte salt glaze—maybe smear glaze—and the interior is a high gloss glaze. Size: Imposing 10 ¾ inches tall at the handle. It is about 7 ¾ inches in diameter at its widest and the bottom is 4 ¼ inches in diameter. Overall the condition is good except for: staining on the inside and outside of the spout area. Crazing of the interior high glass glaze, a couple of small surface hairlines on the bottom and two manufacturing flaws on the cattails. One looks like a chip but you can see it was a manufacturing“smulpt” when you magnify it. On the handle there are some tiny surface hairlines. Which do not go through to the bottom of the handle, some lighter stains and a small dark manufacturing flaw. The flaws are photographed and you can magnify them to inspect them closely. This large pitcher makes an incredible design statement in any décor. T he whole room can be decorated around it. Terms and Conditions: I only accept PayPal and ship to the PayPal account address. Payment is required within 7 days of the auction’s end. Please inform me of your payment plans within 24 hours of the auction’s end. Postage will be via USPS Priority Mail plus delive

ELSTERWERDA POTTERY- PITCHER & WASH BOWL - 1900 - 1918 - KATE 3 STAMP - WOW!
THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE ANTIQUE PITCHER AND WASH BOWL SET ELSTERWERDA POTTERY THESE ITEMS ARE OVER 100 YEARS OLD! The small factory was founded in 1900 right between the arms of the rivers Pulsnitz and Black Elster by a Mr. Korsukewiez who over the years slowly but surely increased the capacity until he employed up to 200 people in the 1920's and 30's. Although some other sources claim that the factory had a peak of 400 workers during 1925. Many famous designers and sculptors worked at the factory, for example the designer Ursula Fesca who worked there between 1928 and 1931 or other well-known artists like Siegfried Möller. Grete Gottschalk and Franz Eggert. Next to normal household items the factory also produced ceramic clocks during the Art Deco period and one of the decoration styles used is a typical example for a combined ... moreairbrush and stencil technique used during the mid-thirties. Used between 1900 and around 1918. U. ='Uhr' clock) the number is a combo of mold and decoration. Check via the email; elsterwerda pottery. Then, PM&M page ELSTERWERDA It should be noted that next to the shown marks from the period between the two wars the factory also used either the word'ELSTERWERDA' in a circle or simply a stamped'Elsterwerda handgemalt' and in a large number of cases the items were left unmarked and only received a simple sticker. After the end of WWII some of the machines and kilns were disassembled and sent to the Soviet Union as part of the reparation agreement. Sadly that is also the time where the whole company archive went missing; it is believed that it was either destroyed or(more probably) taken away with the machinery. Also shortly after WWII the factory mark was replaced by a stamped' V.V.B. Elsterwerda' which was then used until the'V.V.B.based structure for grouping nationalized companies was slowly abandoned in the early to mid-1950s in favour of the linear' V.E.B. approach. Check the information for the logos below. Really a nice antique

L209 ENGLISH GEORGIAN EARTHENWARE 1860s UN-BANDED BLUE RING SPONGEWARE PITCHER
LOT# 209 Detailed Photos. Click to enlarge. Estate Road Show. Item Description. The Estate Road Show is proud to showcase this original 1860s to 1870s English Spongeware full sized 8.5 inch tankard pitcher. In an early plain Georgian style un-banded configuration, completed in a gorgeous blue finger ring hand Dabbed finish. This classic Georgian style buff clay rimmed bottom tankard is part of the second generation Victorian highly decorative Spongeware, which is generally considered between 1855& 1875, when hand Dabbing switched to the stick spatter application finish. The early to mid Victorian Scottish/ English molded serving pieces are few and far between. Furthermore, 90% + of the wares from that era were finished in one of the four disciplines exclusively, those being Brush Stroke, Spattering, Dabbing, or Sponge Spattering(Stick ... moreSpattering) please see the history below. Our special antique is strictly early hand Dabbing and is a truly valuable collectible. Research consulted: Spongeware 1835 to 1935 Makers Marks& patterns/ by Henry E. Kelly, Arnold& Dorothy E. Kowalsky; Spongeware& Spatterware 3rd Edition/ by Kevin McConnell Spongeware is a specific decorating discipline that although can be found as early as 1820, according to some historians, officially originated in Scotland ca. 1835. The technique was amenable to early earthen wares, but would also later apply to Ironstone, and English semi porcelain, which fostered a century long love affair with the finished products. Manufactured In the numerous factories of early Industrial-era England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales the art form was well received whenever it was discovered. The term Spongeware was strictly Scottish/ English in lineage, while the term Spatterware became first associated with, and then supplanted the Spongeware reference in America. This information is taken from the classic reference by Henry Kelly and Arnold and Dorothy Kowalsky, Spongeware 1835-1935. Spongeware or Spatterware was first recorded in Scotland ca. 1835, a

ANTIQUE LUSTRINE WARE PITCHER 667 TILL & SONS BERSLEM, ENG. RARE 1860'S
I'VE BEEN HOLDING ON TO THIS PIECE FOR SOME TIME. TRYING TO GET MORE INFORMATION BUT THERE'S NOT MUCH I CAN FIND OUT ABOUT IT. SOME SAY IT'S PART OF A WASH BOWL SET. I AM PRETTY SURE THIS PIECE DATES BACK TO THE 1860'S BASED ON MY RESEARCH OF THE MARK. TILL& SON BECAME TILL& SONS IN 1861. THIS IS A PITCHER MARKED ON THE BOTTOM: LUSTRINE WARE TILL& SONS BURSLEM. ENG. 667. IT IS STUNNING! THERE IS ONLY ONE ISSUE.A WEIRD CRACK IN THE SPOUT AREA. IT'S ALMOST LIKE A DENT RATHER THAN A TRUE CRACK. TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICS. I HAVE MAGNIFIED THAT AREA SO IT ACTUALLY LOOKS WORSE IN PHOTO THAN IN PERSON. I'M SURE SOMEONE BACK IN THE DAY BUMPED IT WHILE POURING. IT CERTAINLY DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE DISPLAYABILITY AND BEAUTY OF THIS OLD PITCHER. I WILL DESCRIBE THIS PIECE AS LOOKING LIKE A HEAD OF CABBAGE. ON THE ... moreTIPS OF THE"CABBAGE LEAVES" IS GOLD PAINT. SOME OF WHICH HAS WORN OFF WITH AGE BUT STILL MOSTLY THERE. THERE IS GOLD ON THE TOP RIM AND THE BOTTOM AS WELL. THE HANDLE IS GREAT WITH MAYBE A FLEABITE OR TWO AND SOME WORN OFF FINISH ON THE UNDERSIDE. IT IS OBVIOUS THIS PITCHER WAS USED AS EVIDENCED BY THE WEAR, WHERE ONES HAND WOULD HAVE HELD THE HANDLE. NO OTHER CRACKS. CHIPS, ETC. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND WOULD LIKE MORE INFO OR PICS JUST SEND ME A MESSAGE AND I'LL BE GLAD TO OBLIGE. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO IMPART AND INFO ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL ANTIQUE I WOULD BE HAPPY TO HEAR IT! THIS PACKAGE WEIGHS APPROX 6 LBS. AND WILL BE PACKED WITH CARE. I'VE CALCULATED SHIPPING ON THE HIGH SIDE. IF YOU ARE CLOSER TO THE EAST COAST THE SHIPPING WILL OBVIOUSLY BE LESS. PLEASE REQUEST AN INVOICE BEFORE PAYING IF YOU WIN THIS ITEM. I AM ALWAYS FAIR WITH MY SHIPPING CHARGES. Shell Shaped Base Old Ewer/Pitcher
Shell Shaped Base Old Ewer/Pitcher tried to find the maker. But ran out of time with no luck. what looks like a teeny chip on the base is a factory flaw that is glazed over. it is about the size of a pin-head. Really small and easy to over look. Stands 10 1/2" to top of handle. Burgundy color. Payment is by pay-pal. But I do have a local pick up, or arrange to get your item. Shipping is done primarily with USPS. I will try to ship within 5 days from the time you make your payment. Don't count Sunday as a day. The first day is the day after your win. Not that same day, as it could be later in the evening. I am really good about getting your item out as soon as I can.I cannot and will not be giving the one day shipping option. i am home on a disability and if I have a Drs. appt. or a bad day I can't always get it out in one day. ... moreI usually do, but if I changed and it went out after that I feel a lot of people will leave bad feedback. I find it hard that they can take away my hard earned status. Also if you think I am charging too much for shipping, have it weighed and have the shipping price told you at the post office. It is so unfair to leave a low feedback because of shipping rates when i have no choice but to charge what the rate is. Many times I end up paying more for you. Thank you. Items must be paid for within 5 days of purchase unless other arrangements are agreed upon. All sales are final. I will try to send out you item within 5 days. New ebayers under 25.
