There was a gradually transition at Wilkinson from the more traditional Victorian motifs of the late 1900s to the bold Art Deco designs of Clarice Cliff of the 1930s. Her interesting drawings brought her to the attention of the owner of Wilkinson and he let her experiment on some old stock blanks. By 1927. She was off studying in London and Paris. She then returned to Wilkinson and by 1929, her designs went into full production and the Wilkinson marks were changed to include her name. Some of her designs, like Firs, are known for their'stylized glimpses of the natural world' These poppies, with their deco style stems, are likely a precursor of the designs to come. PLEASE NOTE: I have a few additional pieces from this chamber set that. As of this writing, are

MINIATURE STAFFORDSHIRE RED TRANSFERWARE CHAMBER POT WASH BASIN PITCHER
This small wash basin is reminiscent of Staffordshire but. To be honest, we cannot decide if it actually is or not. We figured one of you who collects Staffordshire and transferware would know for sure and might be able to identify the pattern, if it is Staffordshire. We've never seen one like this, in that it is very small, measuring only 5" in height. Whenever in doubt, we'll always start the auction at a penny and let you all decide the value. As with all of our items. Your satisfaction is unconditionally guaranteed. Thank you. Please note: We take our business very seriously and work tirelessly to accurately identify all pieces we list whenever possible. Our jewelry is inspected by licensed gemologists. Who also do their best to represent the items we sell here and at our store in Massachusetts as accurately as possible. ... moreWhen an item leaves our hands. We believe it to be exactly as stated. However. As with any profession, mistakes can happen. We do not sell reproductions. Unless there is a special circumstance and we clearly identify the item as such. All of our lighting products are authentic. Original, vintage and/or antique items, some of which have been professionally restored and/or rewired. We recommend having your local electrician check all wires to be sure they meet your local building codes for safety. If an item is received that is not exactly as stated. For any reason, please communicate that to us and know it was an honest mistake that will be immediately remedied. We appreciate the trust you put in us here and at our brick and mortar store and want nothing less than for you to be happy enough to keep coming back(and to recommend us to your friends and family) Thank you.
