This auction features a great antique Royal Ironstone Wash Set. This set consists of a Large Pitcher(12 3/4" tall) and Bowl(14 1/2" across and 5" deep) A Smaller Pitcher(7 3/4" tall) a Vase(5 3/4" tall) a Shaving Mug(4" tall) and a round Soap Dish(4 3/4" with the insert. This set is in nice shape. It has no chips or cracks that we can find. It does show crazing. Some wear to the gold trim, and some discoloration on the inside of the bowl, all visible in the pictures. Antique English Ironstone Pitcher& Basin Washstand Set Victorian/ 19th Century ~~~~ This set features a lovely Victorian Bluish-Green Ink Floral Pattern. ~~~~ I could not find a hallmark on either piece. They were purchased in the UK. ~~~~ This is a nice matched set that has been well-cared for and is in remarkable shape. Both pieces show signs of use and age but given they are a hundred years old. Wouldn’t you too? Please look at the pictures for more detail of the flaws. ~~~~ The pitcher measures approximately 13.5” tall and 10” handle to spout. It does have a small chip in the bottom footring. ~~~~ The wash basin measures approximately 16” across and 6.5” tall. This is a beautiful antique 5pc Victorian style wash stand set including a large pitcher and bowl and 3 pc. soapdish. They are marked Bisto England and the have an inkstamp on them. The pitcher in the bowl stands approx 9 1/2" tall. The pitcher itself is 9 1/8" tall and the bowl is 5 1/8" tall and 16" wide in diameter. The soap dish from bottom to top of the handle is 3 1/2" tall and at it's widest which is the soap stainer dish is 5 1/2" in diameter. THE PITCHER IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. THE BLACK FINISH ON ALL THE PIECES HAVE THE LOOK AS IF THEY HAD BEEN PUT IN THE DISHWASHER. IT HAS CLOUDY DULL LOOK TO IT. Rare find of an antique washstand and pitcher from Wellsville China. Estimated between 1900-1940. Is ivory with gold around lip of basin and pitcher. Also on handle, inside basin and around waist of pitcher. A small amount of fading of gold in areas due to age. Bowl has some crazing due to age but no breaks or chips. One hairline fracture inside pitcher otherwise in beautiful condition. Will show in picture.
