This is a vintage china chamber basin and jug in a lovely flow blue design. Then trimmed in gold. Pink flower decorate both sides of the pitcher. The bowl is especially lovely with its raised design and gentle shading. It is hallmarked"RS Prussia" on the bottom of the pitcher, there is no hallmark on the bowl. Both the large bowl and the pitcher are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Just a small bit of crazing. The pitcher measures about 11" high. The bowl is 16" in diameter x 4-1/2" high. Doulton Burslem Flow Blue Wash Bowl/Basin This beautiful Doulton Bowl dates from 1885-1902 according to the maker's mark. It is approximately 17" wide at its widest point and 5.5" deep. It has some nicks on the top edge that someone has filled in with gold paint. They are small. But there are several of them on the one side. I did not notice them until I felt the rim and then looked closely. The inside of the bowl has one large spray of blue flowers and two smaller. They appear to be a combination of roses and possibly peonies. There is also an embossed swirl on the inside of the bowl. Antique F. WINKLE& CO"DART" PITCHER AND WASH BASIN Today I have decided to sell an absolutely lovely F. Winkle& Co circa 1893 Flow Blue Pitcher and Bowl set decorated in the Dart Pattern. This set offers a super rare deep dark blue Flow Blue Antique striking with its gold gilding. The pitcher measures approximately 12 1/4" in height with a slightly lobed body. Having four slight creases or indents giving an overall melon shape with molded four molded fans extending downward from the neck. The body of the jug is decorated with the most vivid deep dark blue flown transfer decoration featuring large groupings of azalea type flowers that alternate with panels of scrolls and vines. A jewel pattern drops down from the rim. The basin measures a bit over 15 1/2" in diameter. The exterior of the bowl is also slightly lobed(the ... moreinterior is not) And the fan shapes drop down from the rim and rise up from the base rim. The flow blue azalea pattern on the exterior of the pitcher is repeated on the interior of the bowl. The jewel pattern on the exterior of the bowl matches the neck of the pitcher. Both pitcher and bowl have gilded rims and sponging that is in pretty good shape. Both are also marked in blue under glaze: DART Rd No 219409 F.W. Co ENGLAND. Each also has a raised in-mold rectangle. Within the rectangle. Rd 187591" is impressed, although in the case of the pitcher, the impression is illegible. Condition: Both pieces have been carefully inspected and critically scrutinized for damage. Both have been black-light tested for repairs. No chips. Cracks, or repairs are present. The pitcher has fine crazing inside and out. Of note is a specific circular line on the exterior base of the pitcher near the back stamp that has been examined closely. There is loss to the gold gilding. There are also several spots or flaws on the bottom of the pitcher that look like they were a part of the firing process as they seem embedded in the glaze. This flow blue six piece ironstone wash basin set in the Florida pattern was made by Doulton Burslem in England. The back stamp indicates it dates to 1891-1902. The set includes a very large pitcher and basin. Two chamber pots, a tall mug, and a section of a soap dish. The photos are arranged to show the items in that order. The set is in various conditions. The large basin has been beautifully restored after being broken in a number of places. Observe in photo#4 a yellowing color which shows where repairs were made in the early 70’s; the surface, however, remains smooth and shows no cracks. Its not one of those huge ones.The pitcher measures 5 inches tall.6& 1/2 inches across with the handle and 4& 1/2 inches from side to side without the handle.The basin or bowl it stands in measures 8 inches across with the handles and 6& 1/2 inches without the handles. Antique 1896 VODREY POTTERY Lg Water Pitcher & Wash Bowl Basin Bonita blue white
I have looked up the marks on these pieces of Vodrey and the marks date c1896(Kovels) Bonita is the name the pottery gave it or was the pottery herself. Not sure. The pitcher in the bowl is approx. 13” tall, bowl is 5” tall and the width of the bowl is approx. 16 ½” across. The weight on both bowl and pitcher is 12# reason for the shipping cost. The blue is very nice color and the bowl also has a doe color washed around the edge inside and out. I thought this was stain but nothing would remove the color, must be in the making of the set. Too, the pitcher has two runs that is in the making, as shown in the pictures. There are stress cracks but not broken through. Pitcher is in very good condition and measures 10" high and 9 1/2" from back of handle to front of spout. Bowl measures 16" by 14 1/4" wide. Fits table well but not perfectly. Bowl has two small chips on bottom(see pictures 8 and 9) but does not show from the top. Makes a lovely addition to your home.

This has a really elaborate cobalt blue under glaze design of iris. On top of that is a really elaborate gold work. The gold is actually raised up, which is a more expensive process than flat gold. On the bottom, we can turn it over and take a look at the mark. It is made by the Royal Doulton Company. This is before it was Royal. This mark was used from about 1891 to about 1902. It didn't matter to me who had made it. But now that I am downsizing and selling some items, I don't have a clue as to how to describe this basin. Displays so beautifully. This set. It appears to be a daffodil floral decoration. Set is highlighted with gold gilding. Some gold loss through the ages. A few minimal scratches on the bottom of the bowl from pitcher. No discolorations, no flea bites that I can see. No chips, repairs or cracks. Very little crazing. Vintage Ironstone Country Blue& White Pitcher& Wash Basin This is a beautiful vintage/antique Ironstone Pitcher and Wash Basin. Marked"Ironstone" with a star on the bottom of the pitcher. I cannot be sure if this set was made in England or in the USA, since I have seen similar sets from both places. This is a very large set: the Pitcher measures 11"h x 8.5"w(at widest part) and the Basin is 16" in diameter x 5"h Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition! The basin has some light crazing due to it's age. But has no chips or cracks! The pitcher has a very slight, small chip on the bottom base(please see photos for details) Both pieces will be packed very carefully and shipped to the winner within 1 business day after receipt of payment via Fed Ex Ground. Antique RARE "Poppy" Flow Blue Basin/Pitcher - Hines Bros England (1886-1907)
Lovely Antique(1886-1907) Trademarked"Flow Blue" Wash Pitcher& Basin with"Poppy" design trimmed in Gold accents( Hines Brothers. Heron Cross Pottery; Fenton, Staffordshire England) T his lovely floral design"Poppy" is RARE and appears to have been created using the"Flow Blue" technique. The basin is stamped with The Hines Brothers Trademark(photo 8) The name of the design. Poppy" is stamped below the trademark. The pitcher has the number" 2583 p" painted in gray on the bottom. The Hines Bros trademark stamp on the bottom of the basin(photo 9) dates this set between 1886-1907* The pitcher is 11.75" tall; the ovoid mouth is 5x6.25" the diameter of the base is 5" its widest diameter is 9" and it weighs 4 lbs. The diameter of the basin is 17" the height is 4.75" ... moreand it weighs 6.5 lbs. Condition: Very Good Condition for an antique of this age: shows signs of normal use. The basin has a small abrasion chip(1/2"x1/4" on one side( photo 10) The pitcher has a chip(3/8"x1/4" in its base(photo 11) Historical Note: In 1886. The Hines Brothers(Thomas and William) founded Heron Cross Pottery in Fenton. Staffordshire England to produce"good quality'Opaque Porcelain' and'Ivory' ware" There are only 2 known"Hines Bros" printed marks which were used for the life of the firm. I.e. 1886-1907. The firm was purchased by Grimwade's in 1908. Therefore, pottery bearing the Hines Brothers Trademark was produced between 1886-1907. Thank you for looking!
